Hi:
Ill like that some day, devs makes more structures like perimetral walls for city players, Hotels with some vacancies for rent, casinos, some kind of structures to place near rivers and lakes to place houses more close it and some kind of structres that make terrain more friendly to structures too.
And.... do you think some time to make a tool for mayors to "move" player cities structures? i think that it is intersting for make place on cities.

My guild is very much looking forward to this feature, but it has also been pretty much unanimously decided that we'll wait a couple of weeks before doing anything. No point in rushing in and being the first people to find out exactly what bugs have been introduced this time round

Yeah, all the guys who are happy with everything are playing the game
They aren't spending their time sending you guys letters or posting

Awesome Friday Feature, TH. This is the kind of "look ahead" I like to find at the end of a long work week...

I know of at least one person who is planning on moving her house from its current ghost town location to an active town once this hits the live servers. Great feature!

I'm glad to hear that!

And you bring up another great point to this feature.Player citieshave shifted quite a bit. Eventhe city I used to be a part of up and moved. Rather than move everything, I left my old house as a lakeside retreat (AKA Rebel hideout =P ) and set up a new one in the new location.

This new feature helps players stay together

TH, hopefully I would also like to see CSR's packing up houses of accounts that have been dormant for quite a while. The city where I used to be was full of houses, but 95% of them were from cancelled accounts. Its frustrating and depressing seeing so many empty homes.

If a CSR would pack up the houses for these folks who have been away, all they have to do is unpack it if they ever do come back. No harm to them and we who are paying to play dont have to put up with these ghost houses. Its a win-win situation.

and while im at it, I also think harvestors should also be wiped. There are allot of un-maintained harvestors taking up really good real estate around my city.

House packup is for player houses only...

What about Guild halls? Do they count?

OK, a few questions.

What happens to the house and contents if it runs out of maintenance while packed up? Especially if you haven't loggedon for awhile. Will it auto-deduct funds from your bank account to keep the house, will it delete, grey out and be unusable until funds are added, something more bizarre? What happens if you run out of funds altogether (i.e. no money)?

Do items in the house count in your inventory or data pad? Does the house itself count as a portion of your data and how much of the 100 item datapad allowance is it?

Thanks,

Finally a decent Friday Feature. Its probably my paranoia but I notice that it wasn't Tiggs who posted it, coincidence that the FF didn't suck since she didn't post it?

TH, Two or three things....

Firstly, add my name to the list of "thanks, great feature"

Secondly, also agree that can't wait for a pack-up of unused character houses..... sooo much space would be freed up (and would also reduce lag...)

Thirdly and mainly, as a crafter - a little dissappointed that it wonät deal with vendors. The reason mentioned is that it could cause problems with the bazaar. So how's this suggestion. It'll only pack up houses with "clean" vendors, ie, no options select (such as show on planet map, or searchable on bazaar). Would that help? Cos imagine the problems trying to move a vendor's contents otherwise.

As a related point, could we have a Vendor pack-up along the same lines as above. I'd love to be able to move from my small house to something bigger. Main thing stopping me is the horrific amount of time involved.

Thanks

Finally, a change for the better.

My guild hall is stuck in the boondocks of Corellia wedged between Tyrena and a few Player Cities. I was trying to convince my Guildmates to pack up and move to some place new so we could start our own little city. They all complained about the trouble of haulling all the gear, and they have A LOT, now there's no excuse.

with all the show stopping bugs in game, the devs are waisting cycles on this trivial thing, and they wonder why folks flame them lol

fix the features you removed or broke.....job1.........the game atm has the most bugs ive ever encountered in a mature game in this venue..........quality assurance seems a joke atm...maybe some heads need to roll for the proper perspective soe

This seems like one of the most inovative and interesting systems ever added to the game. Two thumbs up for creativity, but I have reservations.

If items are lost, what will be the process, if any, of retrieving said items in a timely manner?

Also, it seems somewhat likely from what was described the the non-functional ui command /paymaintenence was somehow damaged or removed, is it likely that this new feature or preparations for this feature are the cause of this, and will the ui command be reinstated once this feature goes live?

Aside from the tricky business of implementation this is probably the best change to the game I have seen since I've been playing. Please continue to add creative and useful features like this so that players are more free to enjoy the content of the game, rather than harrowed navigation through inane systems.

i just wanted to chime in here and agree with a previous comment: as a mayor, it would be VERY helpful to be able to move houses belonging to citizens. i realize that this would have to have certain checks in place to avoiding griefing (a setting, like the privacy binary switch, that allows the mayor to move your residence), but it would be VERY, VERY helpful for city organization.

is there any plan whatsoever to allow the movement of structures containing vendors? this, too, would be most helpful.

This is awesome! I cant wait to use this feature when it goes live.

Though, I do wish it applied to Factories too. After 2 years, the hoppers are so full in my factories of my ingredients and output, that its too hard to move them...and therefore, they sit in the middle of no where, in a location I happened to have a house near, 2 years ago. Ah well, though.

I'll look forward to never having to have the worry of redecorating my houses if I have to move again! Great Friday Feature!
