As promised last week, this week we have some shots of the new weapons that will be introduced into SWG as part of the combat upgrade. Remember these are only some of the weapons...there are more to come!
Have a great weekend everyone!
I really hate to be like this, but I think this needs highlighting.

maybe they will have a certification for the flare pistol in cammandos. that has the look of a cammando weapon.
just like the proton carbine & death hammer have a bounty hunter feel to them to me.
they could have multiple certifications for some of these. in both there weapon profession and one of the hybrid professions
ex. the flettchit pistol could be in smuggler and in pistoleer.

Afew quick things I feel the need to open my big mouth about:
a) People complain about all the new gear being unveiled not being "starwarsy" or having a star wars feel.
I would just like to point out that to have a star wars feel an item does not have to have been featured prominantly in one of the movies.
You don't have to have seen luke skywalker holding it for it to fit into the star wars universe.
The over all feel of the movies and what makes someing star warsy (in my opinion, I certanly don't speak for everybody here) is the "Used Future" motif. Things thatseem gritty, broken-in and real. I think the new weapons fit nicely.
Also i think soem peple who claim these things can be a bit short sighted.
I have several people complain that pikeman is not a star warsy profession and disrupts the immersion of the game. I guess they didn't notice but Pikes and people weilding them as weaponsare all over ROTJ, Including the LVA and Vibro Lance.
2) Several people asked about the AP rating of the new weps.
"The primary change seen in weapons is the removal of the armor piercing system and addition of an energy level setting on a player's weapon." -Taken form the Combat Upgrade: Armor System Enhancements - Overview
c) I wouldn't get too excited about TK's doing blast damage...
it is called a "Blaster Fist" and is decribed as: "Fires a very short ranged energy blast during impact. "
Blaster, like the pistol that is traditionly thought of as doing energy damage.
In my opinion it could be either enery or blast damage. we will have to wait and find out.
Don't get me wrong as a TK i would love to be able to do Blast damage and be able to help kill an elder insted of only being useful as a tank.
and lastly I like whzt i see so far and can't wait to see the new Pikes :-D

I know that this isn't all of the new CU weapons, butyou're not going to entice the pikeman with any type of new weapons?

Read up on more stuff and maybe you'd see you won't have to worry about armor piercing once combat upgrade hits.
But since you didn't read it before..
Three types of armor, then on every weapon there's three different weapon settings you can choose from.
Depending on the type of armor your target has, you adjust your weapon's setting accordingly.

These weapons are nice looking and all, but I was wondering if there are any future plans to make the Bowcaster more useful? They are supposed to be extremely lethal in the hands of a Wookiee. I think the last time I saw a Wookiee with one was 6 months ago or so. I went from a ranged CH to a Melee CH because the only ranged weapon I want to use is a Bowcaster, but in their current form they are useless!
