1. Commander sometimes kills himself when sith gets to close (someone told me this)


2.Somestimes if your the one guiding the commander you get pushed from the village force shield thing causing you to waste time and end up having the commander kill himself due to time ran out.


3.Not enough time to get the commander from some of the bases to the village


4.Sith at the bases spawn really really fast sometimes after you captured the commander and start leading him out


5.sometimes commander gets stuck such as if you run pass a tree for example he gets stuck forcing you to go back and move guide him away from the tree costing time


6.HES SLOWER THEN A TURTLE

for chimera i only know one close base and that is kappa... don't know waypoints off by heart but its under 3k.

I don't normally post just to repeat what others have already said, but the state of this quest is beyond a joke even for SWG! The turrets do so much damage, so quickly and over such a great range that even a master rifleman with a 65m maximum range weapon can't get close enough to even hit them. The fact that Sith near to a certain base don't actually have codes for that base seems pretty strange too! The solution of using pets on the turrets just doesn't cut it for me I'm afraid, this is supposed to be a quest that can be done solo or with a friend, no mention of pets anywhere. As for the walking speed of the base commander, I wouldn't know, the turrets incap me anywhere within 100m of the base, but it does sound stupid.

Everyone has a go at Microsoft for releasing badly tested products riddled with bugs and un explaned errors (with just cause I add), but there appears to be a new contender coming up fast, SOE! We all pay our monthly subscription and what do we get, nothing! I have personally submitted at least 10 separate tickets and had no response other than to have them dissapear. I know that the devs are busy people, but the same problems seem to crop up again and again.

My solution to the problem would be to give everyone currently doing this quest the unlock for free, and take the quest down until its fixed. I say this because its blatently not going to get done before the end of the phase, which will delay anyone wanting to do this quest anothe 6 months. No doubt there is a reason for this, its garunteed income for SOE!

Forgive me if this has already been said, but I didn't scroll through all 7 pages.


I just did this quest. Here are a couple tips as the person who captured the commander.


1. Make sure you have at least one of the three closest base shield codes. Anything farther from there, forget it.


2. Keep a line of sight at all times with the commander. If LOS breaks, he'll run. It's a pain, especially going over mountains. Make sure he's on the peak before heading down the mountain. Walk along the top of the mountain til he's there too.

this quest has put me as close as possible to canceling my account, it is really that BORING... walking , i mean WALKING him , that far... I have better things to do for an hour at a time.. thx SOE...thx very much

As a temporary fix they should change the respawn rates to 5 minutes since only3 of like 26 bases are viable to complete the mission. This would involve someone with the intelligence of a spider monkey changing one value in the Oracle DB.

you need to make sure your dam quests are working right u shmucks before u even bother releasing that dam quest into like u shmucks atmeted this 5 dam times and still nothing

I'm disgusted by this quest. Not only is it broken in every way possible, its near impossible to complete, and each time there are a few hundred people trying to do it, but only three places that are possible and they only reset every two hours.

I cant remember how many bugs and tickets I've submitted over this one quest. Whats more frustrating is that I know the mission is stupid. The CSRs know the mission is stupid. Im sure even the Devs know the mission is stupid. But still its not changed. The game is supposed to be fun. This quest removes all fun.

A guildie and I are sitting at one of the bases now waiting for a respawn. We got here at 6:40am (CST) and there was only one group here. I thought, "Yeah, only a two hour wait."


That's IF nobody else shows up and ninja-steals our mission. Nice huh?


Well, I guess my only option is to start PMing people.


I'm going to start with Tiggs, then TH, then Blixtev, etc. Hopefully we can at least get a response. All they have to do is limit these stupid timers to a few minutes.

This is not a flame of the DEV's..Just a rant and some suggestions.


1. why have all these bases that are almost 9000m away if someone at a base that is 3000m can barely make it in a hour, all the close bases are camped and you can run the risk of getting you commander stolen away. i dont have all day to do this, i do have a job and cant be on here 24 hours a day. Which i would have to be because there are always a large amount of people on my server at all times. Im not mad at the campers they are in the same boat i am. Why is it that NPC's can shoot through trees and walls. but an npc cant see me walking down a frickin hill..Which anyone knows dathomir is filled with and one of our closest bases is surrounded by a deep revine.


A suggestion for the quest..Let full groups get credit even if you limit the groups to say 4 or 5...that will lesssen the camping..ALso lift or increase the timer restriction. Butto keep the difficulty of the mission increase the amountof sith who attack your group.I dont have a problem running with him once i have flat ground..i was a good 30m ahead of him on flat ground and he still followed.
