Ninjastealing the commander after someone else has done all the work is wrong. This hasn't happened to me personally, but I know it's happening to others on various servers including my own.

Ok, I’ve been a victimwith each and every Bug/ Ninja stealing, Turret blasting, commander dying part of this god awful quest. More then twice


In order to avoid the usual suspects of grifers, camp stealers and JEDI Solo artists. I camped a far off base at 1am. I called in some help( a few buddies).


The turret issue is easy (and yes I was a victim of a 12 time singular hit of 550 damage each) You simply camp behind the base, break out your R2 unit with combat capability and set him for the attack. I did this to each turret without getting a scratch. With my buddies we took out the sith and got the commander.


On our long walk back we where like aS.W.A.T unit, capping baddies as they came. Not one sith thug got through. Jokes brought on by 3am hysteria was making this adventure one of my favorite in this game. The prize was in site ....and then it happens. THE GUY DIES!!!!!


Now how is this fun SOE?


Anything short of an "Automatic Opening for Our Melee Accuracy Branch" is Too Little Too Late.

My guess is the Devs realize how many people need this phase to unlock so they want to make the quest as difficult as possible, however it seems ridiculous that there are so many bugs. I like the idea of when you get the commander you have to take him to a waypoint instead of the village that is equal distant from each base. That way all bases are viable options for all players. I was really looking forward to this quest becasue I will unlock. The way I see it I will be waiting for the fourth phase and come back and do this quest later.

I have been trying to help few friends to finish this supid quest so many times. Commanders die just near village.

Remember when I help firneds do this before CU, the commander can follow us by running, not like now. He only can walk.


The best suggestion is: Let us cancel this quest, we do others !

Why not ask for fix ? oh, CAN SOE FIX ANYTHING?!

This does seem like a horrible quest.


All these "fixes" seem like not only willl they take too long to be worthwhile (i'm foreseeing yay it's fixed one day before phase 4). Enough people have complained about the turrets (turrets have NEVER worked correctly for any lenght of time), the commander walk (really now, SOE has a hard enough time developing pathfinding for 64 meters, you think they'll do it for 4k?), and the spawn rate (make the damn thing instanced!).


I for one, would be thrilled if they just allowed me to drop this damn quest and let me do one of the other ones in the village!

I talked to a CSR today about these bugs. He told me that there may be an update sometime this week that will fix these. The devs are currently working on the issue according to them

This quest is hard. It took me 3 times in order to complete it. As far as turret issues go, use a pet for the turrets, send in your pet and the turrets won't attack it. You can send in a pet for all 3 turrets. Yes, even the one behind the gate.


After you take down the turrets then drop the shields, and take out your sith and grab the commander.


The commander is slow and runs away a lot, the commander is definently the hardest part. Usually when going over hills is the problem, so try planning your route back to the village first before attempting the quest.


I completed mine on intrepid, base epsilon.

Running speed ca 100/min. thus: a camp 6000 m away = 1h. not to forget you have to walk, not run. walk over rough terrain. fight beasts... (I mentioned this briefly in another post, but in some slightly other context).

Suggestion: why not have the lader follow you in a multi person vehicle???

Following you by foot is as logical as the "escort" missions from the theme parks (where escort meant speak and go back to quest giver, the escorted persons "follows" automatically).


I spend a lot of time with some folks I meet (on chimeara) hunting sith, making it to some camps. all camps looted. at 1:40 I gave up after being slain & having no more vehicle available. Feel bad about having the others let down, but at some point it is just no fun. And having other jedi help you - yes, cool if you know some & cool in terms of team play. But considering that this is you personal quest to FS, I am not sure if this makes sense.
I could voluntarily give up on the reward, as long as this quest gets finished.

I still want to hear it from someone with SOE next to their name. And not a CSR. We probably know more about the state of the game than some of them.

I think SOE need to fix this fairly quickly. I tried to do the quest last night in a base 3.2km away from the village. I managed to get the commander only 500m away from the base before I ran out of time and he died. This is due to the fact the even though I was in WALK mode and don't even have ANY scout skills (so I walk slower than a snail) the commander still kept turning round and running off and covered some distance before I could tell him to re-follow me. With things as they are, they need to completely flatten the terrain between the bases and the village, or increase the range that you can walk away from him and i'm sure there are many other ways they could improve this.


I need this unlock and wont be very happy if I miss it and have to wait another 6 months to complete my jedi quests.


SORT THIS OUT SOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why do I pay my hard earned cash for this?
