Hire a ranger hehe....just kidding. I helped my friend track once we got to the lost village of durbin because some afk'ers were camping it. What helped me was swgcreatures.com once you do a search you can pull up a map of wp's where other people found them. I did that, saved the wp's and just walked between them tracking along the way. We finally stumbled upon them near two of the wp's. Once we found them...they kept respawning shortly after killing them and harvesting them. Try that...it should help ya a bit.

cheers.

First of all I'd like to acknowledge SonGouki for the great walkthough of the Padawan Trials.

This is just alittle more clarification about the trials.

After the completion of the 8th trial (whatever it may be?) Your 9th trial will be to craft your first training saber. After completing your training saber. The 10th trial will be to tuneone crystal (Any color crystal EXCEPT a white crystal). Once you tune a crystal, you are granted the Jedi initate Title (No Robe yet). After completing the crystal tuning, you can proceed to the next trial (whatever it may be?).

With the completion of trials 9 & 10 you can now put that color crystal you just tuned into your training saber & start using your glowstick.

NOTE - Wearing armor including any Ubese & PSG's will make your damage output lower. Also, if you don't have a light saber crafting tool, I reccomend you get one before you finish the 8th trial. You will also need metal, chemical & inert gas to craft your saber. For the training saber it doesn't matter what kind of metal chem or gas you use. So use whatever metal chem or gas you have. Because you are NOT a Padawan there is NO force cost while you use your training saber. (I think mine only costs me 11 foce pts, just FYI)

Incase you were wondering about missions on Rori, its TRUE missions on Rori (ANY Mission) are bugged! So, reset any trial you get that tells you to goto Rori!

I still have most of my Fencer skills, so using a training saber & NO armor what so ever is NOT a big deal to me.I still doge like a mother, lol.

Hope this clears things up for all of you who will unlock soon or already unlocked!

Yup, I have a working glowstick halfway through the Padawan trials. It's a training saber but I have a saber!, lol. For now it's pretty entertaining killing stuff w/my training saber.

I thought the dodge mods for fencer only works if u use a fencer weapon?

This thread borders on the jedi forum btw...

ADVICE TO INTIATES:

Do yourself a big favor, craft the saber, stop the trials, and start practicing now, b/c you are going to need it for a few different reasons...

***You will definently want the largest force pool and force regeneration rate you can when you start life as a padawan***

***Get used to hunting alone and staying isolated and aware of your surroundings***

1.) Craft the training saber and start grinding - You will cap at 90,000 jedi xp at this level (Initiate) - this will buy you 4 novice boxes...the last 10k is easy as a padawan with that much pool/regen and and specials...YEAH!

2.) Use Citros Snow Cake to improve your weapon accuracy

3.) The COB command DOES WORK with a training saber...I had some fencer (one-handed) way back when and the trainer saber (one-handed saber ---maybe a correlation there with the 1h thing, not sure)

4.) Grind Dire Cat missions on Corellia

5.) Use Beserk for your offense

6.) Throw up your overhead map, turn detail off on your compass, crank down your graphics, start scanning while you grind, /who alot, make yourself unsearchable- and get used to it...REAL USED TO IT!!!

You dont have to cap xpas an Initiate...but practing this (at least a little bit)as an Initiate DOES NOT put youat risk of gaining visibility and at the same timeteaches youthe way togrind and play aPadawan in SWG. At least grind some pts and get a feel for it...especially the heightened awarness you will be required to play with unless you enjoy being hunted in a broken combat system and regrinding alot of experience points.

This is just advice from someone who did it...no law here!!!

I disagree somewhat. Having just done this over the weekend. I did stop the trials and got 20k of exp. Took freaking forever. I did dire cats as well. Anyway, I then completed the trials, got my padawan, etc. I then trained LS novice, and made a 1st gen dbl blade. Let me tell you, exp comes a whole hell of a lot faster once you have that first gen. I went from 200-300 damage to 1400-1900 damage on average. AND, my force bar barely moves. So, who cares about all the novice boxes. Who cares about the robe. You want some real advice?

A) get your 20k and get out.

B) finish paddy trials

C) train novice LS

D) get some bad ass BE clothes (can get up to +16 melee D)

E) make your 1st gen (mine is 142-238 dam, 4.9 speed, force cost 7 with crystal in it)

F) Grind 20k more and get Defender

G) Get that first box of DBL blade so you get an area attack. This will take a Looooong time.

Why do I suggest this? B/c I am doing it now, my force bar, HAM bars barely move so I can be in near constant state of fighting. The melee D clothes help a ton. Novice Defender gives you +20 to range/melee D. I dont need to wear the robe yet as polearm hit 1 doesnt take much force.

DONT GRIND MORE THAN 20k with training saber. IT is a huge waste of time. Yes it is safe, but really, if you are careful, you will be fine.

Good luck. Dont forget to read all the advice on places to grind, foods to eat, etc. Good luck fellow Padawans!!!
