If I have mastered pistoleer, I would have a lot of Pistol xp points invested/used to become Master Pistoleer, yet wouldn't have any that wasn't already being used by the pistol tree? Basically am I better off not leveling up and storing available xp or will it allow me to take the XP from already trained skills in other professions.
You can use "extra" XP from the professions you have mastered.
For instance...if you are a Master Pistoleer and you have capped your XP (900k) and can't do any more, you can convert that extra XP, without surrendering any of your skills, and then work up more Pistol XP to be converted.

A crafter could not get all 6 lines they would need, since only 4 lines use crafting xp, BUT if a crafter really wants to get 6 lines and become a jedi, they are going to need to get use to combat anyway. Because what is being a jedi except killing things adnauseum to get all that jedi xp

How many SP do each level of the skills take and are their any bonuses that come from the novice box beyond making the other boxes available?

I'm sry to say but this is bull**edit**, the phases shouldnt last more than a week each, as it is right now I can grind all 32 professions yes all 32 within 2 months if i power game. Why should I be stuck having to wait like 10 more weeks to get my jedi while all those that hologrinded and unlock didnt have to. The quest system shouldnt take any longer than it does grinding all 32 professions

This seems like it'll be significantly longer than holo-grinding. Good job to the Devs, I guess. Course, I'll prolly be cursing them when I'm trying to do the quests and it's all bugged. hehe. Off to find some more badges for me. Anyone have a rough idea of the quantity of the badges required? Or can anyone affirm that it's not quantity, butspecific badges yet?I think I'm at like 30ish or so.... hrmmm.

Great info but I wonder if those waypoints to the bases are static or dynamic depending on server?

The waypoints appear to be static (although I think the info is bad on some of them). Of course, this is going to lead to much spawncamping once this goes Live.

First of all…StGabriel: Great work on this thread. A very nice thing you’ve done so people don’t have to sit there and go through the hassle of searching all the different threads. I know that I personally am completely grateful.
To Kilour, it’s interesting you stated that you can do all thirty-two professions in about two months, and that this would take you ten more weeks. If you do the math for just six complete lines of Weapon/Combat XP, you would have to grind out the experience of approximately 30.1 elite combat professions.
If weapon XP caps at 900,000, this converts to 30,000 FS XP. Now, to get the approximately 11,025,00 FS XP you need for those six lines, you need 110,750,00 weapons XP, and the corresponding combat XP, of course. This means you’re capping your weapons XP approximately 20.5 times.
At 3,675,000 weapons XP needed for an elite weapon profession (i.e. Master Swordsman or Rifleman), you’d be ‘mastering’ that weapon proficiency approximately 30.1 (rounded off) times. Which is gained from: 110,750,000/3,675,000.
With the corresponding Combat XP of course.
Now exactly what I had in mind when they mentioned the new system being quest based, but…I suppose the upside is I don’t have to become any profession I don’t want to.
Of course, the numbers change when you add other types of XP/Other types of FS XP, etc…but I think you get the point.
