As a player who purchased JTL have the Dev's given a reason why Shipwright experience cannot be converted at the village....

I like the idea of Jedi exp being convertable, but... as I understand why post-patch 9 Jedi arent allowed, they had access to FS skill info before they picked. But pre-patch jedi did not when we got the conversion. Please I beg the devs to rethink pre-patch Jedi respecification of FS skills.

Random question:
I'm a few days away from finishing up my FS grinding. Is it still impossible to give up the Padawan box and just have two normal characters?
Preemptive thanks.

Barb-Wire wrote:i second the jedi and shipwright XP need conversions.shipwright should be a crafting and jedi should be able to pick anything since they are beyound force sensitive.
Being a shipwright, I know that "grinding" just doesn't happen due to the resrouces involved. The conversion ratea for the most part are crazy, but for a shipwright... should have a good rate because one item costs so much in resources. I think it's a little crazy that to get FS crafting xp I, as a Master SW/Artisan/Merchant have to "grind" wind generators to become a FS crafter who makes starships?? Not being able to use factories for the items that make the most xp for shipwrights would force the SW to just "do his/her job" and get FS xp over time. I also believe that Merchant xp should convert to FS Crafting xp... that is another story...

You got it all wrong. I'm a Doc and i'm here to tell you the system is unbalanced. Doctor crafting xp is slow to come by and is only good for FS crafting xp and not any other branch. The cap of 80K for normal Doc xp is completely unfair when compared to combat professions. I thought combat xp was converted to FS combat at a ratio of 3:1, but if it's 30:1 then doc's are still getting screwed cause they have to make 4 trips to the village vice the 12 i previously thought, to equal a combat professions single trip. This becomes really irritating, time consuming, and needless to say far more expensive repairing my swoop everytime I get lambasted by the infamous nightsisters who seem to be able to shoot through mountains and trees with the accuracy of a well trained marine sniper! Frankly I'm getting sick of having to go to the village everyday and it's got to change! I've submitted multiple bug reports, suggestions, and CS tickets all to no avail, so i hoped to share my frustrations with any other Doctors, crafters, or other professions that are being held down by the man

How about this one for a cap on XP.
Creature handler XP caps at 160,000 (1.16 times the level 4 box). This means a conversion at 9:1 gives 17,777 FS XP. This amount of XP takes 3-3.5 hours even killing EVERY high end (read as over CL 40) mob on Dantooine or Dathomir with a CL 16 pet (no easy task since that level pet is likely to die and get no XP, something I managed not to have happen very often due to good stims/pet stims).
Even given the fact that you can do scouting simultaneously, the cap on that is 30:000 which converts to 3,750 FS XP. This gives a GRAND TOTAL of 21,527 XP per 3-3.5 hour buff and drive to the village.
Does the "it's related to how much work is done" argument fit this situation? LOL

A few people including I have reached a obstacle in our progression to Jedi Initiate on Kauri. Upon doing the Mellichae quest, one of the Power Crystals will notbe destroyed, and it just sits there at 0/40000 condition. A group of us did 3 separate player's missions in a row and each time the same exact thing happened. There was thought that it would get bugged if players from outside the group attacked the crystals but we made sure we did it as one single group and still it happened.

Also, every mission I've ever had to do in Kaadara on Naboo has been bugged.

Another thing though most would consider it small. I been logging in, in the middle of nowhere, waiting for hours on end for this old man to show up only to not have him show up. Than I hear that IF ye shows up, becasue im starting to doubt he will now that I have to solo 2 to 4 CL77 sith (as if anyone is gonna group wiht me for 3 days streight til lthe Sith gank squad hits).
Sorta silly to at minimum waste 6 to 10 days of game time waiting on this stuff.
