Whenever I had to wait for the Old Man, he always showed up the day after I completed whatever I was to complete to get a visit from him. If your logging in and staying in one place, Id suggest re-entering the planet, cause when you fail missions, the mission is always reset when you return to the planet. Anyone who has had the 100 same wp's in the datapad knows what i mean. I did the same thing on his first and second visit, and upon the next day, id log in, shuttle, or fly, and then wait somewhere out of the way and hed show up 20 - 30 minutes later.

This goes to the devs:

I have my trees unlocked and the experience all saved up. All I want is a second character to play. I'm STILL waiting for you to fix the Padawan box so it can be dropped likeyou said it would. I've been waiting for a few months on the verge of gaining that second character, but I can't go through with it, since this stupid bug is STILL in the way.. Could we PLEASE get an update on WHEN the devs will see fit to get around to this. I admit there are few people that are doing the FS stuff for a second character, but there are some, and we worked just as hard as everyone else for it, and it was stated long ago that we would be able to drop the Padawan box and continue with just the 6 FS trees and a new character too. I'm sure by now quite a few people are waiting, right where I am now, for this to be fixed.

Or, if this is not a bug, or you are just going to keep it this way, you could at least tell us, so that we can rant about that instead of ranting about waiting for a fix.

There is an issue in Phase IV. Captian Seguilla CP: Ranged Speed:

Upon completing the mission and returning to the Captain, he tells you that you are working for others in the village and you can't get credit for the mission, although Journal is updated and I've killed the 50 sith outlaws and 25 sith pirates. Can this please be brought to the attention of devs.

12 days later, 4th ticket just closed, not even tried to contact me, no help at all. The bug doesn't let me get the quest from Sargullo to unlock range speed and the CSR says i do not qualify for help because i didnt accept the quest. I see post all over of people with my exact problem that are being helped, regardless that i havent been impolite and i have been patient about this and still i keep getting ignored.

Does anyone know what do you actually have to say in the ticket to get help? ive included all the info i was asked for, still no luck.

Anyone knows how to contact one of the CSRs that are actually helping players?

Any help would be appreciated.

General - No Focus Crystal for buffing Action... it'd be nice to have a "complete" set

There are Focus Crystals for buffing Health and Mind, yet there isn't one for buffing Action. It would be nice to be able to get a "complete" set for buffing all three primary bars. Preferably this could also be offered as a reward from completing a FS Quest (such as from the Phase 4: Melee Defense "Village Assault!" quest mentioned above).

The Aurillian Mind Buff crystal has no use in the CU. IT does nothing. This high end item was hard to obtain through millions of credits or if you did the hard quest to get it. Now in the CU its only worth is a paper rock.

My Mellachae quest waypoint is ontop of a Rebel PvP base.. so it's not spawning. I have already sent a ticket, and got a response saying that you can do nothing about it yet....!? When WILL you be able to.. are you gonna need a whole new version of SWG just so you can move a PvP base out the way.. or move my mission somewhere else.

Here's another Force Sensitive bug. One that I'm sure you're painfully aware of. It regards the Mellichae quest. Simply put, it's bugged and cannot be completed. In a nutshell, the final red crystal cannot be destroyed. It simply sits there at zero condition. Since it still sits there, it continues to heal Mellichae, and therefore Mellichae cannot be destroyed. And therefore, a FS player cannot move onto the Padawan trials. To date, I've done this quest on 9 different occasions post-CU. This has been a known issue since the CU has come out. So to put it plainly, could you put another bug in the Dev's ears and ask just why they haven't fixed this yet? Or have the Devs simply decided that noone else can become a Jedi? At this point, that would be a final straw, since most of us have put in a lot of time and a lot of grinding to get our characters to this point.

In response to everyone having the mellachae quest bug, this is the sollution, i did my Mellachae quest yesterday, and it WORKS:

Take the final red crystal down to 0/40000

Log out of star wars galaxies, leaving your friends to start hitting Mel

Log STRAIGHT back in again and the crystal will have de-spawned

Hit Mel atleast once, and you should be fine (hitting him before you log might be a better plan)

It worked fine for me as im now halfway through padawan trials.

FORCE SENSITIVE TOP ISSUES

December 20, 2004

Hello everyone,

In making this list I handled things slightly different from the normal Top 5 Issues lists. Rather than prioritize each item on the list I decided to just list all the issues individually. Since the Force Sensitive issues cover such a broad area of the game and each issue potentially affects people differently depending on their goal(s) in the Force Sensitive path, and thus the issues' priority from their viewpoint, it makes the most sense (IMHO). So read on and please give me (constructive) feedback. I'll give everyone until after the holidays (January 3rd) to give input, after which I'll be submitting the list to the devs.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!

FS Skills - Combat Prowess: Ranged FS skills not working

The bonuses are currently not being given from the Ranged Speed and Ranged Accuracy Force Sensitive skills. Furthermore, the Melee Speed and Melee Accuracy Force Sensitive skills are actually giving bonuses to both melee and ranged skills, when it should only be given to melee skills.

FS Skills - Heightened Senses: Persuasion and Luck?

What exactly do they do? Can we please get some clarifications on the actual benefits of these Force Sensitive skills?

Entry Quest - Waypoint Datapad will not work sometimes after being looted (QJ not updating)

If the Waypoint Datapad is looted before the Quest Journal is updated the datapad will not work and the Quest Journal will not be updated.

This can happen at both points where a Waypoint Datapad needs to be looted during the Entry Quest. If you loot the (waypoint) datapad while protecting the Force Crystal before killing the second Sith Shadow (ie. looted from the first one) the disk will not work. It's the same thing at the Sith Shadow camp if you happen to loot the (mysterious) datapad before completing the task.

Padawan Trials - Initiate status sometimes not being given at 8th trial

Reportedly an individual that encounters this bug can sometimes bypass the trial to continue on and complete the rest of the Padawan Trials. However, when they gain the Jedi Padawan status they will still not have Jedi Initiate title and will be "broken" as a result, not gaining the ability to tune crystals or pearls!

FS Quest - P2 (Crafting) and P3 (Crafting): Resource requirements issues

"Help Build Village Defenses" and "Help Build Village Shields"

Either the Aurilian Resource Requirements for the Community Crafting quests are too high or the resources should be slightly easier to acquire. As it is now the quests require that you collect 200 specific Aurilian resources just to complete them, and that's not even considering if you want to place first in any of the categories (to win the reward), which requires a lot more of the Aurilian resources. This is compounded by the fact that these resources can only be acquired by looting them, one at a time, from Sith Shadows.

FS Quest - P2 (Crafting): No indefinite source of Aurilian resources this phase

"Help Build Village Defenses"

All other phases have steady spawns of Sith Shadows except this one. In this phase you can only acquire the Aurilian resources during the other quests in finite numbers, which makes collecting the amount needed for the Community Crafting quest extremely difficult (and that's just to complete the quest, not place first). This is leading to price gouging and making it so that only the extremely rich can have a chance at completing the crafting quest.

FS Quest - P3 (Combat): More info needed at beginning

"Capture Enemy Leadership"

The information on this quest given by Captain Sarguillos needs to be more elaborate and clear. Information on the what to do next, where to go, how the waypoint datapads are acquired and used, how the remote frequency code disks are acquired and used, and so on. It would also be extremely helpful if he gave you a helping hand to get going by giving you a waypoint to one of the Sith Shadow bases at the beginning, so you at least have a chance to start the waypoint datapad looting process.

FS Quest - P3 (Combat): Waypoint disks should give the base name when handed in

"Capture Enemy Leadership"

The process of this quest is already long and drawn out, giving the Sith Shadow base name with the waypoint from these disks would at least serve to better coordinate the process of getting base location and remote frequency codes.

As it is now, you go to a random base location, kill a ton of Sith Shadows until you loot some Waypoint Datapad and Remote Frequency Code disks, then travel back to the Captain and hand them in. If one of the codes was for the base you just came from then you were lucky, if not you have to go to each of the waypoints given by the disks to determine if any of those bases are the ones you have codes for. If not, then the whole process needs to be repeated. This can take hours, if not days, to complete just this portion of the quest...

FS Quest - P3 (Combat): Thug spawning too many and/or too fast (or they're just too tough)

"Capture Enemy Leadership"

After disabling a Sith Shadow base's shield waves of Sith Shadow thugs will begin spawning around the base. Normally one wave will appear at a time, consisting of about three to four thugs that will stay around for a few minutes and then de-spawn, with a new wave appearing after a few seconds. However, it's only usually like that after server restart, as the day goes on the spawning becomes bugged, and instead of one wave at a time multiple ones are appearing. With three to four thugs appearing for each wave spawned this can quickly add up to around fifteen thugs spawning at once! This unfortunately makes the quest almost impossible to complete when it gets to this point.

As a side note to this issue, many feel that Sith Shadow thugs are too tough. They have 50K+ HAM, high resists, and deal massive amounts of damage, such that even elite combat profession masters have a very difficult time even defeating one. I've personally seen teams of three thugs wipe out entire parties many times.

FS Quest - P3 (Combat): Possibly make the special Color Crystal reward random instead of fixed

"Capture Enemy Leadership"

Currently the special Color Crystal (eg. Kenobi's Legacy, Maul's Vengence) reward from completing this quest is on a fixed cycle, meaning that every time the Phase comes around a different special Color Crystal is rewarded, but it's the same for everyone, across all servers. Since there are nineteen special Color Crystals and the Phase takes twelve weeks to cycle, it would be 228 weeks (or 4.38 years) before all of the Crystals became available (once each)!

It would be much more desirable (and feasible) if the special Color Crystal rewarded was simply randomized for each individual as they completed the quest. This way there would be a chance for all of the nineteen Crystals to be potentially available every time the Phase came around, making the reward somewhat unique and provoking trade/commerce between individuals in order to acquire their desired Crystal color.

FS Quest - P3 (Crafting): Primary Computer requires 11 resources while all other components only need 10

"Help Build Village Shields"

The Primary Computer component requires 11 Aurilian Resource Containers while all other components need 10. Is this intended? As it is, there is no reason to contribute this component over the other ones, since it essentially would require 20 extra Aurilian Resource Containers to donate the necessary 20 components to complete the quest.

FS Quest - P4 (Combat/Reflexes): Not enough Pirates spawning in some waves

"Village Assault!"

During some assault waves there seems to be a lack of Sith Shadow pirates spawning. Not sure if this is a bug or not, but there is literally less than a total of 10 spawning sometimes during the 60 minutes.

FS Quest - P4 (Combat/Reflexes): Thug spawning too many (or they're just too tough)

"Village Assault!"

During an assault wave thugs spawn almost as much as outlaws. This is a major deterrent to the enjoyment of this quest, especially considering how tough they are, in addition to the fact that players doing the "Village Assault!" quest get no credit for defeating them and players doing the "Healing Support" quest get no credit for healing those players either.

Again I'll mention that many feel that Sith Shadow thugs are too tough. They have 50K+ HAM, high resists, and deal massive amounts of damage, such that even elite combat profession masters have a very difficult time even defeating one. I've personally seen teams of three thugs wipe out entire parties many times.

FS Quest - P4 (Combat/Reflexes): No way to determine how many Outlaws/Pirates are remaining without killing one

"Village Assault!"

Unless you kill either a Sith Shadow pirate or outlaw you have no idea how many you've killed or how many are remaining. It would be helpful if you could ask Captain Sarguillos to give your current status on kills of each.

FS Quest - P4 (Combat/Reflexes): Village Turrets aren't firing at the invading Sith Shadows

"Village Assault!"

The turrets placed around the village (presumably made in the previous phases' community crafting quests) do not fire at the Sith Shadows assaulting the village. Shouldn't they?

Also, it should also be noted that these turrets are attackable by players and can be destroyed. Is that intended?

FS Quest - P4 (Reflexes): No reward for completing quest

"Village Assault!"

There is no reward for completing the Reflexes: Melee Defense version of this quest. Since there is a reward for doing the Combat: Ranged Speed version (which is exactly the same), shouldn't there be a reward for this version as well? One suggestion for a possible reward is a Focus Crystal for buffing Action (mentioned below).

FS Quest - P4 (Senses): Possibly add an on-screen display when credit is earned (like Combat/Reflexes kills)

"Healing Support"

The only way to determine how many defenders have been helped is by talking with Sivarra or her medical droid, it would be very helpful if an on-screen display was shown each time credit was earned (similar to the "Village Assault!" quest).

FS Quest - P4 (Crafting): Issue with getting Satellite rights before constructing the Tracking Kit

"Find a Replacement Computer Core for the Village of Aurilia Computers"

It's possible for a player to request the Satellite rights from the "ticket collector" droid after speaking to the Gadget Specialist, but before constructing a Satellite Tracking Device. In doing so an individual will become bugged and will not be able to complete the quest since they will not be able to request the Satellite rights again after constructing the Tracking device, and thus not be able to find their Satellite.

FS Quest - P4 (Crafting): "Find a Gadget Specialist" step of quest not being checked off in the Quest Journal

"Find a Replacement Computer Core for the Village of Aurilia Computers"

The first step of the quest, "Find a Gadget Specialist", is not being checked off in the Quest Journal after speaking with the Gadget Specialist. In fact, the step is never getting checked off, and therefore keeps the quest "opened" in your Journal.

XP Conversion - Crafting requirements too high for conversion

Many players feel that the requirement for converting crafting experience to Force-sensitive Crafting experience is currently too high. Considering that the majority of crafters conduct their normal businesses through factory production these conversion ratio requirements seem to be way out of proportion with the philosophy that the new Force Sensitive system would require less grinding and more playing your character as you would normally, since these current ratios demand just that: a lot of grinding that is of no worth to a crafter. Add in the sheer cost of the amount of resources required to grind this experience and the appeal of gaining these "Crafting Mastery" Force Sensitive skills is lost.

XP Conversion - Skill Monitor option to display current XP to max cap for that XP type

Since practically all the Force Sensitive experience conversions are most efficient if you grind the normal experience as a Master of an Elite Profession it would be very helpful if the Skill Monitor could be used to monitor any experience earned up to the maximum cap.

For example, say a Master Rifleman wants to monitor their experience gained. They would be able to select "Rifle Weapons experience" in the monitor and the bar would display their experienced earned towards their current maximum cap in that experience type (which would be 900,000 in this instance).

I can't stress how much this is desired...

XP Conversion - Add ability to convert Jedi XP for any type of FS XP at a 1:1 ratio

Some Jedi would like the ability to change their Force Sensitive skills. Currently the only way to do this is to grind normal profession experience, purchase a seventh FS branch, and then drop the undesired one. This seems to be a little too elaborate, especially considering that the Force Sensitive boxes used to require Jedi experience to purchase (pre-publish 10).

Please add the ability to convert Jedi experience to any type of Force Sensitive experience. Also, considering that the rate at which Jedi experience is earned, it probably should be at a 1:1 ratio.

XP Conversion - Allow Shipwright XP to be converted to FS Crafting XP

While it has been made clear that the Piloting professions' experience was not intended to be convertible to Force Sensitive experience (though many would still like to be able to), it's not clear why Shipwright experience can not be converted. Since Shipwright is essentially a normal crafting profession the experience should be able to be converted, especially since the majority of the items produced are hand crafted and not factory produced (thereby actually earning the experience necessary during normal play).

XP Conversion - Profession max XP caps pass (re-evaluation)

The current maximum caps on experience types at Elite Master status need to be re-evaluated to more realistically reflect the Force Sensitive experience conversion ratios.

For example, Unarmed Combat experience for a Teras Kasi Master caps at 900,000 which would convert to 30,000 Force-sensitive Combat experience (30:1). However, Medical experience for a Master Doctor caps at 80,000 which would only convert to 8,000 Force-sensitive Senses experience (10:1).

These conversion ratios and max caps should be balanced to be equal across all professions (as close as possible). A full list can be provided of the particular professions that are of a concern in this matter, if desired.

General - Padawan/Initiate status cannot be dropped

It's not possible to drop Padawan status after being earned. Many would like the ability to do so... especially considering that Jedi are now people's main characters.

General - Clearer indication in FS skill trees which branches have been unlocked and which haven't

In the current interface there's no clear indication of which FS branches have been unlocked and which haven't. Can something be done to make this clearer, such as "graying out" the branches that haven't been unlocked in the Skill sheet?

General - Dynamic quests spawning issues

The various dynamic spawns throughout the stages of the Force Sensitive system sometimes have issues. Occasionally they are appearing within a structure or environmental object that makes it impossible for a player to interact with. There are also occasions where the spawn won't even appear at the designated location!

The following are some examples of these dynamic spawns where issues have been occurring:

  • [Entry Quest] Sith Shadow camp

  • [Phase 1: Reflexes] missing villager(s)

  • [Phase 4: Crafting] satellite

  • [Exit Quest] Mellichae's camp

  • [Padawan Trials] many spawns (Rori is usually completely bugged, Talus too sometimes)

OK so SOE knows ahat they are....are they going to fix them??
