Thread: TC Conversion Rate Change

Maybe revamping the profession and allowing combat xp to be used for a different skill set under thecommando profession. This would be the proper fix, but I'm just a player of this game for 2 years and don't know what I'm talking about. Just like Scouting XP should be allowed to be converted to enhanced reflex xp, considering that is where the scouting skill set is located. That would just make more sence.

I think Dr. Obvious must have been forced into early retirement.
"and to people like chris# the exact reason why I really dislike soe is just because they make pay-to-play games just for profits sake, not for the games sake."
Allow me to retort;
My initial point was that because you call yourself a "Casual Player" some how your being $crewed. I’ve heard several of you make un-substantiated statements that anyone who has JEDI is a power gamer and has no life. You are wrong...and on many parts. (I’m talking to those us that have been at this game for over a year) WE HAVE HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO GET JEDI. Can I make myself more clear?
The dev’s NEED to do something about the JEDI population.
By giving you a clear path since publish 9/ multiple x2 xp weeks/ and the ability to change your templet (to work the system). They have done enough. Face it. You didn’t make the dead line.
So you’ve chosen your RL time over the path to JEDI....good for you..... now live with that choice and stop crying about it.
"The biggest misconception in life is that it has to be fair"
BTW, I love the people that stoop to personal attacks... it better proves my points.

i love seeing people disagree with this change but then suggest they switch the exp from combat to HW, like it really matters. in all reality your only suggesting this because its a less likely to happen fix than jacking combat exp. just stop complaining, cancel your account if you want. the reality is that you have 4 freakin months from the time of glowy until the end. you do not need grenades to get that amount, you do not need combat exp to get that amount. just stop whining about it.
yes we realize that you'll mock the dev's and say its about the money and not the game (notice how they didnt change the time frame for completion of the village)
yes we realize that youd rather see grenades nerfed before combat exp
yes we realize that most of your who are complaining are the same people that stand around day after day and jack over your groups and do nothing but throw a C12 grenade three times a lair, cause a total damage output of 200 points and reap all the benefits.
WOW... you might actually have to start contributing for a while.
Since when has there ever been a time cap on gaining XP? answer . . they have never put a time cap on gaining XP . . . that would be stupid. The time phases for the village have absolutely nothing to do with the conversion rates.
What this change does . . . is punishes a group players for not playing as much as another . . . all the while charging the same amount of money.
They have esentially doubled the time and XP it takes to to earn any skill in the combat or reflex trees.Would you be upset if theymade you earn 10X the number ofinvestigation XPso you could master BH? Or if they made you earn 10X the amount of combatXP to fill the ranged support line in marksman? that is what they have done to all the FS branches that use combat XP.
Why is it that they want to control Jedi by punishing the pre-req, instead ofwhat is needed tobranch through. Its like makingthe unarmed tree in brawler 10X longer to control the population of TKMs?
it's changes like these that make them.
it's the wrong approach, and only because one programmer is too lazy to do his job properly."

Not true. All it does is keep you from getting the whole column as quickly. It in no way stops the progression of Jedi. The quickest anyone can do it is 15 weeks +1 day, no matter how much XP you have banked.
If you really have to have a jedi that quickly you can still use DE 5:1 and Advanced BLLs. You can do the whole tree in a phase. Or you can use Doc and rez. You don't have to use combat XP. But even so, you still can with minor discomfort.
If you can't take this nerf, then don't even bother. Jedi have worse nerfs than this to deal with.

Long grind weekend here i come. Last i checked (this morning) i'm pretty sure it's still 1:3 on starsider.
It was at about 8pm Eastern last night when I checked. I assume it won't change before the publish goes live.
