I took his mission where you search for raiding parties for the aurillian banner and was still able to do ranged speed, but just not melee def now

Even more typical. However, in this CSR's defense, I do believe this is the first time Phase 4 has come around a 2nd time on Live servers.
The reply to my ticket this morning stated the usual...."The devs are aware and looking for a fix, thanks for your patience...blah blah blah"
If they are aware of this then they need to COMMUNICATE it to all of us. Maybe they forget that the Issues thread is, in fact, for acknowledging issues that arise. That's why we have the new list of issues.

Man, this is frustrating. Luckily I think you're ok, those who've never done the quest at all will be able to unlock (if you used a freebie unlock for either Ranged Speed or Melee Defense). Those of us who are trying to unlock both Ranged Speed AND Melee Defense without having any free unlocks for either branch are totally hosed right now.

Not being able to take two missions from the same NPC is total crap. I know many who were awarded free trees to unlock who are now jedi with both Ranged Speed AND Melee Defense. Allowing them to do both just becuase theyground hard pre-patch 9 isn't right. I myself took Ranged Speed as one of my free unlocks so I have never taken a phase 4 quest period. This bug may not hit me, but it's total junk for those many of you who it will. They'll fix it, just keep screaming.

Like someone said before, wait until all servers shift. THEN we'll hear some screaming, and not the relatively civil screaming we're heard already lol.

yup that was me that said it, and we all know its true. at least we're being civil about it and discussing it instead of the yelling and screaming that really will happen in a day or 2

Haha, yeah this guy is apparently the village coder. According to him the village can ONLY shift on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Might wanna fix your code since Valcyn has been on 4 for two days now. That goes against your 'ONLY' theory I'd say. Think before your fingers hit the keyboard sometime champ.

I just accepted the Ranged Speed quest, so if works if you did Melee Defense last phase.
Sorry, guys. This REALLY sucks. I hope SOE will fix it soon.

Phase 4 went live on Ahazi today - I can confirm this by the siths running about the place.
Like many others I have only melee defence left to do for my FS skills tree. I have hours and hours of FS Reflexes XP banked so that all I need to do was the quest.
What disturbs me is that Ifeel they have no intention of fixing this problem - when they answer my ticket they will say something like - wait till next phase where you can do a mission - this was the way things were intended -
I really like this game but if the ticket comes back wrong its goobye from me and my ALT.
