Starsider hasn't shifted yet, but I did talk to two CSRs in chat last night. Why I don't know, but here's what they told me.
When telling him of the reported problems on Valcyn the first one told me "Star that's spoiler info that we can't give out to players". I have no clue what he's talking about. I told him that it just sounded like a bug to me and he didn't reply after that.
The second CSR I spoke with didn't have a clue of the problem. He just asked me to file a ticket and told me that he hadn't heard of the problem before.
The reply to my ticket this morning stated the usual...."The devs are aware and looking for a fix, thanks for your patience...blah blah blah"

/sigh sounds too generic to me.... i really do they hope they are looking into a fix

I don't have a full explanation of the problem or exactly who is affected, but myself, Scoooter and at least one other person I spoke to (Scoooter also said at least 2 of his guildies had the same) are all int he same situation. We all did ranged speed during the last phase 4, and are all receiving the R&R response the captain gives after you've completed his mission for the phase. It's not saying we can't take a mission from him as we're already working for someone else, it seems the captain thinks we've already completed the mission for him.
As far as I know, we've all submitted CSR tickets and bug reports, so hopefully this will be fixed soon. I'll post any further details or CSR responses as and when I get them.
Same with me, can't do the melee defense quest !!! And as for CSR tickets are you kidding me, they just throw those in the recycle bin as they come in. I took weeks to get enough faction points to get an AT-ST and what i got is a dud, won't be trained or won't listen to commands nor fight... Sent CSR and... well nothing!

The village hasn't shifted to 4 on Starsider yet, but I'm a bit worried. I was awarded two free unlocks some time ago. I took time off, but have now banked my xp and filled 5 trees. I took ranged speed or whatever as one of my freebies. I'm hoping I won't be bugged when I try to get my melee defense quest.

Latest news I have on it, from Valcyn's lead CSR, is that the devs have been made aware and will be looking into it on Monday.

Monday?!? Thusday?!? Wednesday?! That is unbelieveable! I fail to see what is stopping them from fixing it now! This means I will have to wait nearly a full week more ffs!!!!

Are you on Valcyn? Nope. Shut your trap then. I've heard NUMEROUS reports that valcyn crashed and did in fact shift. Your estimates for the other server may be correct.
He may indeed be telling them to take R&R on Valcyn since it's phase 4 there. It's phase 3 here on Starsider and when I talk to him he tells me to come back after preparations have been made. Don't come here spewing your nonsense. If you don't want to read about people who are annoyed and/or upset then keep moving onto the next thread.

I'm annoyed as it is my last unlock and I want my Jedi lol, And yes I know ranged speed is fecked, but if I dont get it I have to wait a further three weeks, which I am not going to do.

Its not about getting the benefits of the speed its about unlocking it, training it and finishing the village for MANY of us INCLUDING ME. NOW we cannot do this because its bugged and want to finish the village fight mellichae. But we can't because its bugged.

Devs are much too busy with JTL and working on some useless lame holoemote than working on the real basic game problem... And they have the nerve to give us a number when we send a ticket, as if that number is of any use to us!
However if it was a bug on the payment end keeping SOE from billing and charging our credit card it would be fixed within the hour, and without any tickets ever being sent!

. All servers changed 3 weeks ago yesterday (on a thursday). it takes 3 weeks exactly in second, but because of the 8 extra hours each phase from reset downtime it doesn't change exactly in 3 weeks. Let me explain. There are 3 days a week when the servers reset (turn off, boot back up). Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 6am PST. that's 9am EST. That means, let's say it changed yesterday. That means, in 3 weeks, it would change on the SATURDAY because it misses the reset by a few hours, so it goes to next. It changed to Phase 3 on January 21st. 3 weeks exactly would make it February 4th, but since it would end in the middle of the day, it takes until the NEXT reset. it DOES TAKE A RESET TO CHANGE PHASES. So it will be changing TOMORROW morning at 6am PST. For some servers that had more downtime this phase, it will be changing TUESDAY. that's it. No server has changed over yet. The captain is saying take R&R because you've already done a mission that phase. And YES in phase 4, both the Enhanced Reflexes and the Combat Prowess missions are goten from the SAME GUY. Captain. That's because they're the same mission. /rant off stop CRYING

that's because server rebooted (not from normal reboot but because of crash most likely)
