It is quest based. You have to do the quests to unlock the branches. Without the quests you get no unlocks. If you don't like the system then don't do it.

bull if it isnt a grind ya there are some quests but mainly all that you here about on these forums is the millions of xp that you have to grind in order to just unlock jedi

they should make it totally quest oriented and it SHOULD take at least 5-6 months to complete

So if someone plays every day and let's say weeknights they play maybe 30mins to an hour then they are an addict? And you are comparing that to alcoholism? You are a complete moron sorry to say. if you have a free unlock you get to unlock a FS skilll branch such as ranged speed and are awarded 1.75 million FS xp. this is enough XP to get a novice box and all 4 boxes in one FS skill branch. it is best to use your unlock go train then come back and use the second and so on. do not unlock multiple times without training as you will lose your XP.

I know that's what was said, I dunno if it's like that though. I know someone that jus started bout two months ago, got 5 profs mastered. He wasn't expectin any unlocks because that was old system... He was told he had 2. =| Methinks the system still exists, we just have no way of knowing now which profs are our unlocks =|
