Mine came exactly 24 hours from the time I finished my last box. I was out grinding TK for the melee defences to add to my template and he ran up. I had shuttled around and was out in the wilderness taking out a quenker lair. He waited until I finished and then gave me the waypoint to Mel. Oh and that is right I was on Dant and had no problem with the exit quest being in a house or anything.

actually i think he had great patience in guiding the poster in the right direction. there is a guide right at the top of those forums that says from non glowy to padawan.

There is an excellent sticky FAQ about getting from non-glowy into the village.

The old man comes running up to youabout1 to 3 days after you "get glowy".

Shortly after he comes, two very weak sith will attack you. loot their bodies.

One will have a disk that is a waypoint to their base camp.

Go to the base camp and kill the few Sith that are there and loot them.

If I remember right, one of them has a disk with a waypoint to the village.

Read the FAQ again at this point.

Don't believe all this hype about how the Old Man won't visit you unless you are logged in 24/7 and sitting in a player city. It will drive you crazy.

Play the game how you would normally. There is nothing you can do to speed up the process, so you might as well entertain yourself while waiting.

Just make sure that if you intend to fly, every once in a while (maybe in between missions)go outside the starport city and wait about 2 minutes, then go ahead and grab another mission. When you log out, log out outside the starport city.

He'll show up within a couple of days.

Pretty much, if you login inside of a player city and sit around for 15 to 20 minutes and no old man, he isn't coming.

I've heard theories of chance rolls of him arriving whenever you login or shuttle, or cross a server boundary. I'm inclined to believe it, as the majority of old man visits i've seen were at shuttleports once the person had just arrived, or just about 10 minutes after I logged in (which happened to me on both of my characters).

Im in the same boat, just started again last thursday and got my glowie on Sunday. Tried all the tricks in the forums on Sunday and Monday and still no old guy. So I am pretty much just running mission from a player city passing time until her shows up (which hopefully will be tonight!)

Honestly there is no way to coax him into coming faster. People can say keep shuttle hoping from city to city etc. It is all BS. On my 2nd old man visit i just sat there and waited on endor and when the servers used to daily reset he came 2 mins after. My first old man took about 1 1/2 hrs on the first day he was made. Then i sat there for the sith and they came. So when it is your turn it is you turn. I am sure all accounts are flagged some how so when it is your turn he will be there. The only thing that seems to be true though is he has yet to be said to visit you at a npc city. So just do what you do or just chill in a player city.
