I became glowy the other day, and was out wandering around last night trying to get the old man to appear. Suddenly I found him in a player city. Heart pounding, I figure this is my moment. I walk up, converse, and he says "I'm sorry, I have nothing to discuss with you." Great. So I found someone ELSE's old man. I then went around this player city like Paul Revere, yelling "Is anyone glowy? The old man is here looking for someone!" Am I pathetic or what?

Its ok. The first day of patch 10 there were like 3 or 4 old men standing around the Imp OP on Dantooine. The place was packed with hopefuls hoping they were getting a visit.

first i want to say i have had my visit

that said however do you think a system message saying you see an old man would not be a good thing i know of ppl that have seen the old man only after turning around if there was a system mesage then ppl would see him better'

I'm currently glowing, I'm 2000 meters away from any player city or anything, and it's been about a week since I was glowing, i heard he comes within 72 hours, any advice will be helpful....Thanks!!!

shuttle around, log out and back in move around. the old man can spawn in player cities, just not NPC cities.

Yep, now you have to wait for the 2 sith outlaws to attack you. For me it took about 24 hours. And I was in a player city both times I got the Sith Outlaws.

Yeha, now you wait for the Sith attacks, I'm still waiting myself, since I just got the Old Man today too...

I really don't think it matters what planet you're on to get the old man, what planet were you on?

What planet is the Village on?

First, are you sure you're glowing? No offense but I see you've only got 11 posts and for you to be glowing this soon...just double check that you got the "the force is with you message".

When I was in TC I got the old man when I arrived in a PC shuttle.

The same thing JUST happened to me today as a matter of fact in Live.

I got the "inner glow, the force is with you message a day ago, this being my second day.

I got the old man on Lok as I was traveling to a player city on a shutte, as I stepped off the shuttle he approached me.

I am still waiting on the Sith to attack me.

You feel an inner glow; the force is with you, is what it says when I do /check plus I never really post anything here anyways. So shuttle hopping to player cities is the way to do it? Does it really depend which planet you are on? Thanks!

I have had 3 different toons get a visit from the old man. 1st one was on LoK, 2nd on Corella and 3rd was on Naboo. So he can show up anywhere.
