i agree that the fsxp conversion rates are outragous. they need to be adressed. i do not mind putting in some time to be a jedi but i work 50 hour weeks and my girlfriend does not like the fact that i play games at all. much less the hours the devs think i should have to put in to be jedi. i did not get any free unlocks when i got to the village and have had to unlock all that i have the hard way. i have been playing for 7 to 8 months and will get my fifth row unlocked this phase and the final one next phase. however i will not be albe to unlock my jedi for some time after that because if only have two boxes filled. i want to be jedi that is the primary reason why i play the game. but i do not want to lose my future wife for it. i love the new system with the quest. i don't even mind how hard the quest are (even p3 combat). but the conversion rates are killing me. i only hope that the devs will remember that this is only a game. and try to make it a little less time consuming. thanks for listening
Sorry for quoting a really old post, but this one is just dumb. Jedi isn't meant to be easy to get to. Also, SWG ISN'T A JEDI BASED GAME, IF YOU WANT TO PLAY A JEDI GET THE JK OR KOTOR GAMES
I'm so sick of people saying this. But with the way the game is now what else is there to do? I mean once your a glowing you have done pretty much all of the content in the game. I have left this game about 3 or 4 time already an have done most of the stuff in the game. I casual play this game and have done almost everything. A poor conversion rate and even more grinding doesn't make up for lack of content devs. I know jedi isn't suppose to be easy, but it's also not suppose to take away your job or girl friend.
Padawan Trials:
- On many (most?) of the trials the NPC that gave the quest doesn't respawn after finishing the quest, so you cant get the quest completed and have to restart (the current) trial.
This happens to many people - some people even had to do something like 50 trials that way (because of always restarting quests).

General - Padawan/Initiate status cannot be dropped
It's not possible to drop Padawan status after being earned. Many would like the ability to do so... especially considering that Jedi are now people's main characters.

What about us who could care less about being a Jedi, but are FORCED (no pun intended) to become a Jedi just to get that 2nd character slot? Heck, I'd pay for that 2nd character slot if it was an option. I'm not going out to buy another copy of the game to get a game manual that was probably out of date when it was printed.
In the old system you got the 2nd character slot when you became FS. So why are we being punished for that? If you don't want 5 billion Jedi's running around, then how about an option to just become FS long enough to get the 2nd slot and then go on about our normal gaming lives?
Someone mentioned about how Jedi wasn't supposed to be "easy" to get. Hmm, a farmboy who's probably not even old enough to purchase tobacco products and not old enough to have a job becomes the greatest Jedi in the Star Wars Universe. Yes Luke. He was just a farm boy who was still a teenager. So that means he was born a Jedi, not "made" a Jedi. He had no jobs or skills. Unless you count tending to water harvestors all day long and doing chores around the farm. So why doesn't anyone criticize just how easy Luke had it? He was FS when he was born, he only had to be told that by his dad's friend. Why was Han Solo (a non-Jedi if there ever was one) able to weild Luke's lightsabre in the scene on Hoth? If Luke had to go through what we have to go through, George Lucas would be even more of a billionaire. We'd be eagerly awaiting "Star Wars: Episode 61 - Luke the Padawan"

What you pay for when you buy another copy of the game is a cd-key.
And dont forget about the 15 bucks a month extra.
But still, it is the jedi system, not the unlocking a second character system. The second character is supposed to be a reward for all the time and effort you put into becoming a Jedi Padawan.

Is Ranged Speed/Accuracy still bugged?
Does one still need Melee Speed/Accuracy for that?
Thanks
They're still bugged. Myself and a few other Correspondents are working hard to get it fixed though...
One question...
Did I read it wrong or does having the Melee Defense/Melee Speed branches grant also theRanged Defense/Ranged Speed modsto the FS character?

Yes, I'm still pushing this issue
A short time ago, I remember you stated this was sent to the developers as possible 'quick fix' (or something to that effect) Have you received any word back from this? If you posted an update already, I am sorry as I obviously missed it.
Also, Iwas pointed at this thread by someone else, where Tiggs states, and I quote: "A Jedi can revoke all Force related and Force Sensitive related skills and continue playing as a normal character."
(Just a handy reference that states this is indeed a bug and is not by design.)
Thanks
Still looking for an update to this as well
Its a game stopping issue for my characters.
Any fixes to the FS system would be great
Hopefully it'll be back on the table after the CURB
In the current interface there's no clear indication of which FS branches have been unlocked and which haven't. Can something be done to make this clearer, such as "graying out" the branches that haven't been unlocked in the Skill sheet?
I aggree with the above issue. i just finished grinding one full branch for the Enhanced Reflex tree only to find out that for some reason the quest i thougth i completed (Range Defence) was not unlocked. Now that xp will go to waste unless i wait till i can train something else in that tree.

I believe if you converse with Paemos he will tell you what area you are ready to train in. I forget what the exact dialog is to follow, but I remeber seeing a little ballon above his head once that said I am ready for training in Ranged Speed.
But, I also agree it would be nice if the skill boxes were somehow outlined to show you which ones were "unlocked"; perhaps put a big picture of a "lock" on the branch that is not available! ![]()
