Vehicle Operations: Come on --this one is ludicrously obvious! WHY is this skill not applicable to pilots' skills in Jump to Lightspeed?? All the modifiers as described simply scream to be applicable to starship combat.
I agree with this point. A FS pilot should be able to get more speed and manuverablity out of any ship he is flying.

I'm a Master CH and also a Master Pistoleer with FS skills and i have to complaint abouthowthe CH have no opportunity to grind anything useful in the village.Whythe CH xp gives senses fs xp? This is nonsense! 
The CH is an eliteCOMBAT class, why is giving senses xp instead of combat xp??? I need my pets to attack and only for this.
I think we need to obtain reflexes xp because the only one fs skill that is useful for CHs is in this tree (ithink survival is).
Please, change the CH xp for combat or reflexes xp, thanks.

I personally think that force sensitive skills shouldnt bee extremely hard to get. Jedi on the other hand should be extremely difficult and take dedication. Under the current system it takes extreme dedication to get force sensitive skills that are supposedly gained naturally and not gained through using the same skill again and again which would makes us all extremely good at it anyway if we were to craft the same thing millions of times.

Ok , we hear of how long the grind is, heck, I don't mind waiting. What I do mind is the boring repitition of grindng the FSxp to unlock a box.
It will still take 3 weeks tounlock a new branch, so you have to ask yourself what does it matter that I can get 4 boxes in a day, week or 3 weeks. I grinded professions pre-village (17 total ) and got 0 unlocks. I was told"Oh well" by CSR's over that. We were told that we wouldn't have to grind like we did for holos, they didn't liethere, the grind became much more difficult.
Now I don't mind putting in a little work, but this is crazy. Too much time and money to cap my xp and drive to village, rinse, repeat. Over and over again. At least with hologrinding you got a chance to experience other professions and try new things. So I have my proposal for FS grinding.
XP CONVERSION RATES FOR ALL FSxp TYPES SHOULD BE 1:1 RATIO.
It will still take you 3 weeks x 6 branches (18 weeks or about 5 months) to finish the FS grind. The only difference here is that you can do other things in the time it takes to go through the phases.

I have to agree with this, I've been working on the meleedefence branch, but OMG! the grind is sooo boring, we already have to wait for the village to change phase and some long/hard missions (which are a LOT more fun that the grind), so why force people into powergrinding exp aswell?It doesnt make sence because it only rewards the powergamers who are able to play all day. It would be much more fun if it was just the missions and waiting for the phase change, or 1:1 conversion ratios (or even the same conversion rate as on combat exp) to encourage people to actuallyPLAY the game and not spend all their time grinding and devoting half the economy to people grinding FS skills.
This way it would still take the same amount of time as if you powergrind it now, but everyone would have an equal chance to finish their 6 branches in the same amount of time.

I would love to see this implemented, but there is a reason that there are xp conversion ratios. One reason is to discourage some people from making a jedi. If the ratio was 1:1, then it would be a piece of cake to get jedi. All you would have to do, was cap xp once, do a quest with a group of 20 people and wait for the fases. There would be an influx of jedi and the gaming community would go hog-wild. I agree with changing the xp ratio's, but don't make it 1:1, make it something along the lines of 5:1 or something. This way there would be some work involved.

It will not happen. Majority of the people have already unlocked most branches, if they did this, Jedi population would skyrocket even more than it is right now. The Devs do not want Jedi over ruling the others on ANY server.
Big issue is Phase 4( ALL of the bugs, not just the can only take one.)

But there is already a huge jedi population, they might aswell reduce the exp grind by a lot and try to encourage people to play other professions by fixing them and adding more features to make them more interesting. Not rely on boring people to death and ending up with people leaving the gameover itlike they are at the moment (after realising they will never find the time to do the FS exp grind as a casual gamer and have played the rest of the game).

A CSR told me told in response to a ticket that there are currently, "no known issues" with regards to ranged speed. I don't suppose the ranged skills have actually been fixed, have they?

Sorry for quoting a really old post, but this one is just dumb. Jedi isn't meant to be easy to get to. Also, SWG ISN'T A JEDI BASED GAME, IF YOU WANT TO PLAY A JEDI GET THE JK OR KOTOR GAMES

yes..this is a very helpful guide hope it stays...o and one more thing to do that ppl most often do is loot the outlaws before they are all dead..ppl when the 2 sith shadow outlaws attack u...kill them both then loot..not just kill one and loot that one but kill them both before u loot...and after u get a wp disk for a sith outlaw camp..u go there umm bout 3-5 outlaws..jeeeez easy and do the same thing kill them all before u loot them...hope this helps

A change to the conversion rates so we are all in-line with the commando/grenade throwing grinders would be nice. It woudn't have to unbalance the game but at least people would still have to 'work' for their initate though the FS quests etc without entering this huge grind.
All power to you commando types for working within the system though, not taking anything away from you. I'd just like to advance as quickly with my template .... even if it was entertainer/tailor.
