Thread: OMG! CU MADE FS IMPOSSIBLE!
OMG!!!!
I've never heard such whingng and crying in all my life,
I have already unlocked and ground a jedi and doing it again out of boredom. The first time i unlocked 25 prof's (see u n00bz try that way) and had to grind 1 FS branch maxxing out on Pistol and carbine exp per day for 10 days then kill mellichae, i've killed him 9 times now all Pre-CU and i didnt cry once.
If all u Naders cant grind this way the the answer is simple /cancelsubscription and go and play solitare if u wanna solo everything

Cry More Noobs!! CU isnt the best thing but it also isnt the worst thing. Heres a clue /cancel. Remember that little message on the box when you first bought SWG Content may change? So go play WOW or better yet Sims Online.
I'd have to admit, you have a point... if I was a complete idiot. Can you remember the last time you bought a game so that you could eventually want to stop playing it? If I'm remembering correctly, when purchasing this game, I wasn't thinking, "Hey, you know what would be great? If I spent fifty dollars on this game so that the devs can make it suck and I can cancel it, hence wasting my fifty I spent in the first place, and then including the 15 extra dollars per month. Wow! What a great idea!" Yeah, content may change, but this is an entirely different game now. It changed when holos were first removed. It changed when they added the village. They changed the GCW and pvp. What happened this time is disgusting. I didn't put a year and a half into a game, learning it the best I could so that I could have to learn everything all over again, and in a worse game to boot. I, and the rest of the people who agree, shouldn't have to /cancel (noob?). So the next time you make a point, make it a good one. There's a clue.
They did promise you could play as a loner, but nowhere did they promise that you could solo everything in the game or even come close to that.
The two are not equivalent. You can play as a loner effectively if you don't try to bite off more than you can chew.
You COULD drop your combat level to something where your training saber would allow you to build xp effectively. It appears you simply refuse to. SOE is not to blame in that case if you can't make good xp.
Why should they change the conversion rates? The fact they are as high as they are discourages people from going for Jedi unless they are really committed to the path. This is a good thing. It's not like most people don't complain about the number of Jedi already. Reducing the conversion rates is only going to make this game more "Jedi Wars" than it already is.
The casual gamer can get to the same place as the powergamer, but it will definitely take more time. That only makes sense, and the Devs have repeatedly stated that is their intent. You get out what you put in.
I was going to stop replying, but I wanted to make sure I singled out this idea before I stop, because I don'twant it spreading like a plague.

"We know that players are going to master the Jedi system eventually, and that's probably fine as the servers mature." - Haden, IGN Interview
They expected lots of Jedi as the servers matured, a few more isn't going to make a difference one way or another now. The profession should not just be for the powergamer no-lifers. The profession should beavailable to those who would truly roleplay it, the casual gamers who bought this game to PLAY A GAME and not to DO A JOB.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!? FS GRIND IS A 1000 TIMES EASIER I KNOW PPL WHO HAVE GOTTEN MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF FS XP IN A DAY....JUST GET IN A FRIEKEN HUNTING GROUP AND STOP BIZNATCHING!!!!
Seriously, learn to read (and write for that matter). Casual gamers cannot get millions and millions of FS exp in a day. We don't have 18 hours a day to spend grinding.
yall must not know how to do it. I go to dantooine and geta group of about 6-8. Then we shuttle to yavin and get magwax missions. Its double xp week and i can capp tkm/pike in under 2 hours. I rush over to the village and dump that whichwas 320k until tonight. (160k now) and rinse and repeat. I didthis like 1 time every night last week and it wasnt a pain in the ass like you would think. The only boring part the whole night was the 6k trip to village and 6k back. I have grinded over 2 trees in maby 12 hours of grinding. Yeah thats alot of grinding for 2 .5 trees but im enjoying it. I would rather grind 8 trees this way than the gd nade way. I mean you sit at a computer and do not talk to anyone for 3 hours at a time then you getmroe nades if needed and a buff then rinse repeat for however many buffs you hae in you. That was the worst. I grinded 3 trees like that and was like OMG. Another thing. 12 hours to get 1/3 way to jedi? Thats nothing in this game. Kotor takes about 10. After dble xp itll take a bit more time to grind but jsut have fun. Thisgame isnt about hwo fast you can grind jedi. Do it as an alterative for about 3 months or something. Then youll have close or over 1/2 of it done. Then you can pick it up and knock it out in a month. I really wish i woulda just chilled and gotten jedi and now i have time to make up for that. 5.5 trees grinding 3 unlcoked...i have some waiting. ![]()

As for lvl 80's characters not being able to solo stuff..? *snicker* If I'm tactical about it I can take out lvl 81-83 SMC's with my pikes/swords template.
