Thread: Phase 4 Bugged, Reflexes
Sorry bud, but capt sarguillo gives BOTH quests this time around. There is NO workaround. This is the way it is. It was the way it was last time phase 4 was around and those of us who did either of the 2 last time around got it. Its just the way it is

For every quest I have done, the Capt. or Whip has directed me to an NPC that is not on this list.
Only these NPC initiate the quests right? So talking to the tother NPCs in the village will not change anything once you have spoken to Whip?
The fact that the capt. says you are already busy, tells me that the directions from Whip are more than likely incorrect and that you need to talk to a NPC that is not on this list.
Unless you have verified documentation that the Cpt. is the quest manager in this case.
As I said, Whip and the Capt have never directed me to the NPCs on the list above. It has always been the Capt. himself that managed the quest, or a NPC that is not on this list.
Just a thought at trying to find a work around instead of waiting for CSR / Devs to do something.

Is Whip even AROUND for Phase 4?
I talk to the Captain, and ONLY the Captain last Phase 4.
At one point in the conversation, upon accepting the mission, he asks you:
Do you want to go for Ranged Speed, or Melee Defense.
That's all.
You choose one, and it seems obvious to me that whichever one you DON'T choose is impossible to ever get.
If the Captain, in a NEW Phase 4, says "you've done enough, get some R&R" then there is no possible way to initiate the Phase 4 quest again to gain Ranged Speed or Melee Defense, whichever you DIDN'T do last Phase 4.
It's poor coding, and a STUPID mistake over something so time and labor intensive, and there had BETTER be a fix or movement on this FAST.
This isn't right. Not at all.

I understand, and seems odd that this is the only quest where Whip would direct you to the Cpt.
So what I am hearing is that it is not possible to have a FS template that is
Combat Prowess Master
ER 4400
Correct?
I was planning to do this template and just about two weeks ago changed to
CP Master
ER 4004
I guess I might have really lucked out.
Good Luck with this one and I hope no one gets banned for complaining to clearly and loudly.

Thats my exact template as of now and my same problem, dont stop /bug'ing ppl!

Based upon the system, you should not be given a choice by the Cpt.
Once you speak with Whip first, that should be the decision. The Cpt. should only initiate Ranged Speed, and Whip should initiate Melee Defense.
Should only depend upon who you speak to first.
STOP with the whip etc please.... the captain gives both skills YES we know both skills are in different tables Reflexes/Prowess, Thats just the way it is.

I hear you loud and clear and believe me, I am on your side.
However, maybe indicating to CSR / Devs how it should work, based upon their owndocumentation, can help make your point very clear.
The written / documented word can be very powerful when arguing a position.

It is my understanding that the Whip NPC is not even IN Aurilia during Phase 4.
Hence, no reason why anyone should have to talk to him....if he's not even there!
Just noticed your from Corbantis too.

My point exactly, some one really screwed up the code on this one, or made no effort to properly document this exception.
I have read all the best threads regarding the village and not one has mentioned that Whip is not available in phase 4.
I have also authored threads that discuss the CP Master / ER 4400 template and no one has ever mentioned that this is not attainable.
I dropped Melee Def for Survival so that I can still make money hunting as a Jedi, and felt that you can make up for the melee defwith clothes.
So for those that only need one more branch, and hoping with out hope that this will be fixed in time, you can always take Survival from Whip in phase one.
Just a suggestion.

LOL, no offense taken, and like I said, I know how you feel.
I have vented on the forums on similar issues after patches and was not allowed to log on for three days.
Just means you have passion for the game.

Except that I now have 1,225,000 Force Sensitive COMBAT xp that I can do nothing with!
I'll have to regrind an entire branch of FS Reflexesxp - and won't that be delightful with the degenerate Thugs running around the village while I try to convert.
/sigh
I'm so beside myself right now.
