The current method to create Jedi is just ridiculous. Going out and mowing down entire planets full of innocent creatures just has no connection whatsoever to becoming a jedi. Maybe there was some untold backstory in between episodes one and two where Ben took Annakin out to Dantooine and the two of them spun Pikets for three months and then they waited for a visit from the Old Man, but I don't think that was it.
A new method to become Jedi would be very welcome in my opinion, as long as they make it more in line with what Jedi are supposed to be.
Oh you'd better get used to that. In fact, learn to love it. The FS is a walk in the park, the actual jedi grind is much worse. ~1k xp per kill, master boxes are 3.2 million xp. Grinding a row of anything requires a grand total of 3 million Jedi XP. Let's talk mastering a jedi profession.15.2 million jedi xp fora master profession, at 1k per kill.
Let's say you have an inspiration buff, and get 1300 xp per kill. That would be 11,693 pikets, bols, or whatever you hunt. That's only for 1 master. Like I said, learn to love grinding.

I can say you what I not other guy read a month ago maybe two. It was in an enterview with one of SWG SOE chieffs he dais that they wanted to implement a new system involving master-padawan relationship but he didn't even mention FS. The other thing he said was that the new FRS was waiting for Lucas aproval before they could start implementing it.

This post is actually very encouraging to me.I don't know how it was when you got FS, but currently I get about 216 FS xp per kill.
that means I will need to kill 33,333 dewbacks to get FS completed. If what you are saying is true, Jedi will be easier then the FS grind.

Except when you factor in BH's killing you and you lose 2k xp per skill point in jedi, or the fact that your dps is nothing like a normal profession, oh and did I mention negative xp is possible, up to -10million?
Its not easier than FS grind, period.
