If you get a free unlock, you are also given all the xp required to master that branch instantly. Think hard about what skills you want, and which ones to use your unlocks on though, otherwise you may end up waiting a long time to get some skills if you need two unlocks from the same Phase.

ok so i have free unlocks i know this but i haventr gotten to the village yet. So if i use a free unlock do i still have to grind out the xp or do i get to the box 4 without using ne xp at all if i used my free unlock

This again is something I am checking up on, as far as I can tell, you can unlock all sixteen branches, and master them all if you want, BUT, be aware that you cannot surrender skills once learnt. So by all means unlock all sixteen branches, but think long and hard before investing skill points into them, not to mention the horrendous amount of xp to master all sixteen (approx 300million xp).

OK I'm still a bit confused. Today I did whip's quest and unlocked force reflexes-survival. Will I be able to get all 16 branchesunlocked, or am I only allowed 6 branches because I really wanted Combat prowess: all of them, and Reflexes: ranged and melee defence. So Is this possible or am I screwed?

Very very very impressive guide!!! if i could give u 50 stars uwouldget them for sure!!!!!!
When do u expect to post more info as to what to do when u finish the 6 branches and ur ready for Initiate...
Or perhaps do u know where i can find some info on what to do when i finish my 6th branch???
Thanks in advance!
PS: on a small note: I think u have the modifiers for the healing branch mixxed up. I noted it gives +20 to Injury Treatment Speed but i think it gives +10 to Treatment Speed and +10 to Injury Treatment.
good luck to you and hope to see more of ur great info!!

The modifiers were taken directly from the game yesterday, however, I will double check it.
I was thinking about taking this branch at first so i looked at the skill mods a lot... But then again i was so excited about my free unlocks i may have looked wrong
good luck to you and hope to see more of ur great info!!
Just added an update, the next section I hope to devote to what happens when you have your six branches, but no doubt I will have some corrections and additions first
Good update! Can't wait for the info on when u master all 6 branches!Message Edited by Stuyf on 09-04-2004 01:42 PM

Just be aware that that info was second hand, I haven't checked it, and it doesn't feel right to be honest, as Squad Leader xp is easy to obtain I am told. I will confirm it at a later date, but don't start celebrating yet!

That will be in about nine weeks, and I don't like hanging about. I have friends who are closer than I am, or even already there, and the test forums provide a wealth of info. Little of this comes from personal experience, most is from the boards and friends (I've gotten to the village and three unlocks, but no quests yet). I feel it's better to get the info into one single guide, I know how hard it can be to find a reliable one for important things such as this.

Very nice guide, I must admit. Good work.
One thing - I don't know if it has been mentioned already, but according to TH's FF yesterday, the Force Sensitivity levels before the Old Man visits you are different - Surge is actually level 5 and Strong Sense 4. At least for me it was that way - I was surging when P10 went live and then I "upgraded" to glow level.
I don't know if this is real as I don't have any backup data other than mine. I just thought I let you know.
