Thread: The 30:1 fix *EXPLAINED*

I can see the new ratios present players with a longer grind, but this doesn't present any harder challenge - pikets will be pikets.

I for one would like to see another revamp and then I could understand people with 2-5 branches trained crying if they got robbed like the hologrinders did last year.

So yea, got hide? I used Tracker IV (Ranger) during my FS grind and it worked sweet. It's an extra bonus like combat xp per kill and they haven't nerfed it yet, why not take advantage of that?

Thank you all for the advice on grinding more efficiencly, but if you dont mind, please stop flaming me about this topic. There is nothing to flame about...this is a conversation about how to get jedi.

Can someone give me the best idea to grind the fastest way? I heard something about bols...

and yes i am level 80

and my origional point was that if this grind keeps up it will take way too long...absolutely not an option.

But sir, i find it appauling that you would call a sophomore a "child." I am 15 and find these years the hardest and most difficult school years of my life. I do not appreciate being lowered to the status of a 2 year old.

Thanks in advance for your info

I think you should worry about a grind much longer than the Jedi grind. Your High School grind.

You need to grind 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 4 years. And if you spend too much time worrying about getting Jedi the fastest way possible, then you may lengthen that grind to 5 years. Just some food for thought.

biwan:i agree the grind might be boring at times....i agree that the village should have some more challenging quests....the idea of the trade ins....not bad...good concept...however...

there are way TOO many jedi out there...so to increase the ratio to 60:1...good idea....but better more exciting ways to earn it would be even better....this way, boredom doesn't over take the FS toon's controller....cuts back on the amount of jedi( the ones who show off at starports...and forget what a jedi is/should be)....and pays closer attention to the details of the "ultimate" profession available for gamers purchasing this game...

As for the insult of "being 2" (as you called it)...gross misconduct indeed...just remember...anything worth having doesn't come easy...if it were easy....it's not worth having...

good luck with your schooling...it is much more important to grind the grades then the xp...

keep plugging away dude...k

uh.....why would it take you 5 hours to get 600k xp...... you can probably cap(900k or 1.2 mill)1 type of weapons xp 1-2 hours slacking.....

Probably a low CL or has no combat skills, I have Master Artisan, Master WS and Master AS plus a bit of scout and medic for senses XP, as the caps on that are only about 1000 XP without the relevant skills, and thats it, no Novice Marksmanand no Novice Brawler. The Caps on my weapons XP, without Marksman, are 200k each, so thats a total of 600K max of wepaons xp across rifles, pistols and carbines that I can take to the village,Can't rememberwhat the combat xp maxes at, 30k or 35k?

No news is bad news, going by SOEs track record.

I suspect that Trader/Enteratiner will end up being worse off, and they're not saying anything, as people will quit because of it.

I'm going to quit when the sub runs out, and return if the revamps are worthwhile, unless knowledge of the revamps come before subs run out, and I like it, but I'm not going into day 1 of the new month, then the revamps get announced, and my char is shafted.

15 you say? Yep, that's a 'child'. If you think that the freshman and sophomore years are hard, please come and take the course I am. I think that you will stop complaining after a few days. (for reference I am in my senior year of HS, all advanced)

Look, don't complain about the grind. Grin and bear it. That is why I do as a commando. We are one of those professions that probably needs the most love, but we don't get it. What do we do, grin and bear it. We're just happy that we get to set masses of people on fire. (and that is quite fun )

Now, be happy that jedi is so easy to get. Remember the days of the hologrind? Back then, you didn't even really have any idea where you were going, and grinding professions can take a long, long time. In this simple setup, you only have to master one profession and get some badges. Then you are 'glowy' and can start doing the FS stuff. What does that mean? Mindlessly grind xp.

Now that doesn't sound so hard no does it?

Now, go to dant MO, get in a hunting group and kill some Pikets or Bols. No more complaining about how long it will take you to get jedi or anything.

Oh, and as was said, worry more about your high school 'grind' than anything else. It will actually make you some real money in the future.

I don't know how you come up with those numbers, but those seem really low to me as well.

Remember, the trick is that you no longer need tobank as muchcombat xp, you should just be trying to max your weapons xp and then make your trip to the village since an extra 65,000 combat xp is not going to be worth the time needed to grind it out.

I consider myself to be a rather casual player these days, I spend on average about 1-3 hours in the game per night, and here is what I come up with..............

On a typical night at the mining outpost, I can max my swords and tkm at 1,200,000 about three times before I go to bed. That equates to 80,000 fs xp per village trip, plus a small additional amount that I will get from my combat xp. So by the end of an average night I should end up banking around 300,000 to 350,000 of fs xp. Considering that you need around 8,000,000 fs xp to finish your village grind, it should take me less than a month of work to get there.

Keep in mind, those numbers represent an average night, if i can manage to find a group of spinners then I can sometimes get closer to 500,000 to 600,000 fs xp in one nights work, though this doesn't happen very often its still very possible.
