Hmmm so maybe the mission is bugged? I just feel so jipped, wasted 3 days for nothing, at this point i may take a break from the game. I dont mind a challange but i am getting tired of borked quests.

You BOTH need to talk to Captain Sargillo before starting the mission.

Well I did destroy all the interior structures, including both doors, the turret and antenna.... but no commander spawn until I killed 5 thugs. Maybe the spawn without the kills is a bug or has to do with the base being attacked earlier in the day, but as a point of caution don't expect him to be there.

Im glad to see I am not the only one frusterated with this quest. I thought maybe it was just me. Me and my party got owned in 2.3 seconds. Oh well, I'll try again on another day.

lol seems to me people are making it harder than it is, i dont think you even have to kill any sith, when someone sees something yellow your usuall instinct is "ATTACK" maybe this whole time you werent suppossed to, maybe your just suppossed to ignore them and drag the commander back to the village. Most people think the devs are out to get us but they are not going to make it impossible, since those sith are like 20 dark adepts at a time. And if you have to arggo something for it to attack you most likely your not suppossed to attack it. In the first quest search and destroy when were those sith ever yellow when you approached them.

I agree with the post that said to get several codes and turn them in so you can pick which base you want to do. Some are a long run back. My team of two did a base on the far southern park of the map same parallel as the village (Epsilon on Ahazi). It was a great choice of the three remotes I had. Nothing spawned near it to worry about and it was a relatively short and flat run back. Some bases are really close to each other and see lots of players that is probably why there spawns are so high. Come on people I think this was a great quest even though it took me several tries. I don't mind dieing on something that is challenging. This is what I have been thinking the quests would be like really hard and really rewarding. Not driving around in circles. I would rather do this quest 10 times than have tocap my prof 21 times in the next threeweeks just to stay even in the conversion.

I just finished this quest 5 minutes ago, and wanted to clear things up for those of you who are not reading the previous posts.
1. It's tough to finish.
2. Can be done with 2-3 people (IF you use the right tactics, and havecombat professions toensureNPC deaths)
3. You MUST kill 5 Sith Thugs to get the commander to spawn.
Soulassasin (TKM), xDarby(MCM), and myself(TKM) finished the quest, but with ALOT of hardships. There are TONS of Sith guys outside the base. The best thing to do is pull aggros, one at a time, until you have killed 5 Sith Thugs. If you are doing the mission correctly, you will get a system message on your screen each time you kill a sith telling you how many remaining kills you have left. Once you have killed 5 Sith Thugs, the commander will spawn in the middle of the base, and it's your job to get him out without getting yourself killed. I had Soulassasin ride his swoop from the right to the left in front of the base entrance to pull aggro from all the guys outside. Once he had aggro from the guys, I simply ran out the right side wall and hauled ass back to the village.

Sith Thugs? Are these the 11k ham Sith thugs with 45% resists? Or are they a different variety of thugs?

No more like 51K HAM, with 80-85% resists. Not too bad if you got DOT weapons, or a CM with you.

I ran this the other day with me and another guy. He was a Master Doc/Pistoleer I am TKM / Master Fencer / Master Brawler. At first we tried to do the prone bleed shot thing to only aggro one thug, but we ended up aggroing all of them and it would get messy and we ran away. Eventually I got frustrated and ran and tagged the turrets and the gates and then ran like hell (Almost died). About 45 mins into it we managed to take two thugs down, when a group of 5 spawned right on us. I ran and died which spawned the commander. The Doc rezzed me and I was basically worthless. It said I had failed the mission so I was pretty bummed. Anyways the doc managed to get inside andcapture the commander. He waiteduntil the thugs despawned and then took off. He walked roughly3000m back to the camp, and I followed just to see what would happen. He was able to walk faster than the group of sith pirates that would spawn so they werent a problem. He made it back to camp where I was waiting and completed the mission. Suprisingly I also got the reward and the unlock. Somaybe this is a glitch but here is how you doit based on my experience.
1) You need someone ranged and who is a master doc.
2) Have the sheild lowering guy take down the gates and turrets and then have him die inside of the base
3) Have the doc rez the sheild lowering guy, nab the doc, and wait until the sith despawn (I think there is a20 sec delay until they respawn again?)
4) Run like hell, the guy who died should ride back to camp and wait until the guy with the commander arrives
5) The reward should be yours without having to kill any thugs.
6) Promise me that you wont actually unlock your Jedi because they ruin the game, and only run the quests for the 1337 rewards!!!!

Me and a fellow guildiedid this the first day of the shift on Radiant. We are both Master Rifleman whereas he was a CM and I am a Doc. Basically what we did after downing the shields is hightail it out of there and try and get one or two seperated from the rest and kill them to get some of the 5 kills out of the way. Then you can /prone, /mindshot on one sith, /peace and he'll go agro and come after you when it first ticks, thereby seperating himself from the rest for an easy kill. Rinse and repeat until you get 5 kills.
Once all 5 kills were out of the way, the CM went in close and threw area poison on the group of sith in front thereby agro'ing all of them on him. While he hightailed it out of there, I ran in and destroyed the gates/turrets/antenna without using area shots in case of strays agro'ing me. By the time I captured him, the sithhad broke agro on my partner and reformed at the front blocking my exit.My partner came backwith the area poison luring them away again while I ran out and headed towards the village.
Although the mobs aretough, I thought it was a rather simple and straightforward questas we beat it on the first try with a 2-person group without dying. Tried again last night to pull some guildies through and they got toasted pretty quickly not expecting the sithto be as tough as I said they were. /lol

Greetings to all,
I triied this on Kauri I'm TKM rifle 4424.
got slained after 3 thugs ... after a lot of death and rez the commander commit suicide ! to make it short
About turrets they have 80m range where as a rifleman with my T21, 64 m is my best. I triied take cover at 82 then crawl forward the very moment i was in range, i got shot, then was slained in a very few shots ....
we are not competing in the same class, those 16 meters means a lot under fire ...
I will retry this quest again and again because I have no real choice BUT
- It seems awkward to me to have such gap in difficulty from quests to quests
- It really have nothing to do with "awakening to the mysteries of the force", what is the goal remind me ?
Well I hope I'll make it, because even disks are tough to get !
Yesterday I hunt down Sith for hours, killing slowly 6 of them to get nothing while on the first days I got two disks on two guys !! Is the loot ratio linked to the number of people having already completed the quests ?
I guess I Know how SOE plan to manage the Jedi population ...
