Thread: What is to Become of FS?

one way (though not a big solution for most)
Make another way to unlock your second character slot...
i actually didn't want to go FS, but had to, because i want a pure crafter... and i want another character to go hunt with my friends...
that would eliminate some of those grinding for jedi...
QFE
I have a pure crafter alt myself, and I really dont care if my main is holding a glowbat or not, I can always pickup MBH/MCM on him, but I would like another alt for something as such as MRifles/MRanger to harvest for my alt, but I am certainly not going to pay for such a third account.
Why is the xp gonna be shared? (dont get it)
Is it just for FS people or what cause if its or everyone wouldnt that PO alot of people

They are thinking of doing this because people can master combat profession so quickly, and people can get FS XP very quickly as well. But I don't think it should be spit up among the group members, just tone it down a little.

ok, something has to be done about the jedi...they are ramped!!!! There are two options the way i see it that are at all realistic.
1) Continue to nerf jedi to the point that they are the exact same thing as a fencer who can throw there sword, doesn't need armour, and has a lightning attack that deals like 500 to 700 damage and serioult drains your force bar..this would make it so that no one would even want to be a jedi ( i don't as its is particularly, too much work for too little power... i have seen many jedi die at the hands of BH's {in unfair fights} and to others in honorable duels)
2) Bring back permadeath AND make jedi more powerful and easier to grind (like a noraml combat proff)....think about it, i can master a combat proff in a day...what if it was easy to become a high level jedi, once you unlock your jedi slot (second slot should still = jedi slot) it was easy to become a powerful jedi, but once you die....your jedi has to start over...this would control the population and make jedi at the power level they should realitically be...i'm talking 4th generation lightsaber dealing 6000-12000 damage and force lightning (as the hightest level) hiting for 20000...also, everyone should be able to attack jedi at anytime becuse they are hated for there power
also, its is a terable idea to limit the amout of time anyone plays this game because it cuts back on player interaction "oh, i can't help you with the corvette 'cause me timer expiers in 10 minutes"
if you still want limits...how about a very high xp limit, like one mill jedi xp a day/ 5 mill normal xp a day?
That would still allow players to play when ever they want and would elimnate the people who wantt to master a proffesion each day (like myself)
However...i'm not tring to flame you, just explain another idea that would work better and will be undoutibly ignored by SOE (i think they have there plates full already)
After reading several of the posts after the one I posted on the first page, I must say that I have also thought of these ideas, but then realized the flaws of such ideas.
1). Putting a time limit on when jedi can play. Can't do it. People pay at least $15 a month to play this game WHEN THEY WANT TO. You take away the ability to play the game for however long they want whenever they want with whichever character they want (not counting server downtime and maintenance, of course), they'll take their money elsewhere. I'm sure SOE knows this, and doesn't want to lose money.
2). Bringing back perma-death. I actually didn't mind this idea, even though I'm a jedi. But then I did some research on why they got rid of perma-death in the first place. It seems a kid commited suicide when the jedi he worked so long to get recieved perma-death. I guess the kid couldn't handle that he could no longer play his character. SOE removed perma-death to avoid any future lawsuits because somebody offs themselves over their game, I imagine. Just like that lawsuit against Beavis and Butthead because some stupid kid played with fire and set his house ablaze, because he saw B & B playing with fire on the show, SOE can very well get sued if someone kills himself over having a character they worked hard on making permanently go bye-bye. They won't take that risk. Now implimenting a NON-permadeath way, like having to start the jedi grind over if you die 3 times, might be ok, as the character is still a jedi, and you can still play him, just have to regrind to the point you were at.
I still like my idea in my previous post about making the padawan trials more like themeparks, though. I did the padawan trials in a day, and thought to myself "What? That's it? What a joke, there is no way my character could have learned all those moral points behind the missions in that amount of time." And I'm not saying to make the padwan trials harder just because I'm already a jedi, either. I'm sure one day I'll have a character on another server and want to make that one a jedi, so I would be more than willing to go through a longer and harder padawan trial, provided it actually means something, not just killing 2000 of x creature, etc.

Wow, if that happened to me I would be man, but not nearly that mad.
