To become a Jedi, first you have to become Force sensitive by opening the FS character slot. Currently, nobody knows how to do it, though this board is full of various theories. If you open the FS slot, I believe you get a system message, and will be able to create another character on that server. SOE will have a huge announcement when somebody finally does this. Hope that helped.

Actually, I'm wondering how to get training once you are force sensitive and want to "walk the jedi path"...

It's supposed to be a skill tree just like any other, and force sensitive players can learn every other skill just like a normal character. Well there must be a "master" somewhere out there that Jedi have to go to for training...

New to the game, just curious if it is something I have to work towards from the beginning.

you must have Eyes opened. And the Reading skill.

After that, you'll have the message that you unlocked your FS slot.

Sorry some people cant help but to be sarcastic and unhelpful . Anyway, nobody knwos the ACTUAL surefire way to become a jedi... There are theories, one of them is that there is a checklist of things you must complete, such as certain badges, doing certain quests, mastering certain professions, mastering a certain number of professions, being the highest rank, having a house, ETC the list goes on. You can get holocrons from certain mobs that will tell you what professions you need to master supposedly, just do a search on "holocrons"...gl

Step 1) You must have a Pre-Nerf Melon in your inventory

Step2) Run to Dagobah...run to Dagobah...

I hate to answer this, because I'm sooo disappointed by what is believed to be the system. But here is the accepted theory:

You have to master 5 specific professions. These professions are pre-set and you do not know what they are. Loot items called holocrons will tell you one of the professions you need to master, but this only works 4 times. You have to figure out the 5th profession on your own.

As far as I know, this system is an unconfirmed theory. But, if I'm incorrect about that I'm sure someone will post a link to the dev post confirming it.

For my own suggestions on how this should have been designed, please see this thread:

Good luck on your journey to Jedi.
