I tried those above 10 waypoints. Maybe I was doing it wrong, but going to waypoint #6...it gets really dark and its very tricky. The commander would not follow me past one point, he kept walkign up the hill and stopping.

He then died on me.

Am I doing something wrong?

You sound as if you were going in a straight line. Which is very wrong.

5 to 6 to 7 is a winding S patterned ravine. As I wrote, you need to pay attention to the radar screen to visualize the terrain and see where the crevice turns. It would have taken several dozen waypoints to map out the S pattern so I instead used 3, one at the start, one in the middle, one at the end and hoped that people would use the radar and see the crevice and obviously walk along it rather then up and over the mountain.

The path is perfectly smooth, there are no climbs. Although, in this particular crevice I believe there are two trees who's trunks are large enough totake up the entire flat portion of the pathway and you will need to do very minor climbing, maybe a couple of feet, to move around them but it isn't bad enough to cause the Commander to stop in his tracks.

No, I am walking straight. It's the part where the the path gets really dark and narrow. He's following me, but the path becomes so narrow that he starts walking up the hill and stops.

But, your waypoints do look good, it's just that one tricky part.

So um it seems the Dev's have heard the complaints about this quest and there is a fix for it in the Test Center. You can read the patch notes here: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=in_testing&message.id=77242

Unfortunately they are not fixing the Commander. They are instead increasing the spawn rates. I assume to help ease some of the camping going on.

What is somewhat funny about this is the fact the patch probably won't be in place in time before the phase shift. So, I guess everyone can take comfort in knowing when phase 3 comes around again the camping won't be so bad.

IMHO this quest has serious issues. It needs to be fixed....you put how it can be done so easily but it is a true pain.

Well its my first day at the village. I go talk to the elder who tells me to talk to the captain who gives me a quest which tells you to go out and find encampments and loot frequency codes which he will turn into a device that shuts off the shields at the camp. It doesnt give you a waypoint to the encampment, And some people say I shoulda GOt a RADIATION Detector, but i didnt its not in my data pad nor my inventory, SO basicaly i have to wonder around looking for .......opposite force, than once i do all that I have to turn of the shilds march in the base and kill lots of people than the captain comes out and i drag him back to the village can anyone help me.........I seriously need it. I heard to bring a couple people with you.....Which Helps, but i usally dont find people that are nice enough to help me.

I only saw mention of the relative spawn ratios for the phase 4 quest when the village gets mobbed. Nothing in there about the phase 3 melee accuracy quest, unless I missed it.

Which quest are you trying to do? The Radiation Detector is given to you by Dageerin and that's a completely different quest then the one this thread is related to.

Be sure to read the sticky at the top of the forum, Jedi Path Revamp Guide v1.3

All I saw was Captain Sarquillo and thought it applied to the phase 3 quest. Didn't realize it was related only to phase 4 until you mentioned it.

Jispo, how far is the closest w/p to the village i am using your wp's and i have them in the opposite direction from the village. Usually the Village is about 6k meters from the closest base . r u intending to use a negative sign on the first coordinates?

Thanks in Advance.

These are all good tips. Definitely read the original post before attempting this.

I did this with a guildie and the most important thing for us was to KEEP MOVING. The Sith Commander looks like he doesn't want to go up hills, around trees, etc, but he will. Just keep moving VERY SLOWLY towards your WP and he will follow you.

What I did was zoom all of the way out so I could see him behind me and I just kept walking. He would lag as far as 40m behind me but then would eventually just catch up. DO NOT STOP FOR SITH when they attack if you are the person escorting. Let your partner deal with them. The only time you should change your route is if he blatantly walks in the other direction. Have your partner keep an eye on him as well.

The hardest part besides that for us was waiting two hours (at 6:40am) for our turn to try it since the base was already camped...
