Bringing back the game breaking method of getting jedi is the most retarded idea in the world.

I second that and move to burn the thread starter at the stake.

I agree, dont bring back the hologrind. I did 31 professions till i got jedi and some noob did 6 or 7 and got jedi. Not really jedi like. The village is close but still needs some work.

why not bring holo grinding back, it was more star wars basd then "the village" sh*t and you actually had to do stuff besides throwing nades and doing a few quests it took more time and there were fewer jedi, fewer jedi is right for the time period and it would be pretty dificult for newer people to obtain a jedi

Yea good idea then it would only take less than a month and a half to get paddy.

well here is teh thing it made jedi literally knwo everythign abotu the game. they had to do crafting, entertain, etc. even when it was macroed and boted. plus i thnk it woudl be more fun than teh monotony of doing the same thign a million times over.

and yes it is slower cuz i can only go so fast. pre-cu i heard a guy unlocked within i week of getting all his boxes with no xp turned in using nades. thats just wrong. im goign on 2 yrs here and i still dont have a jedi. almost, but not quite. but now at least with grouping i am enjoying doing it.

it is simply not true that hologrinding teaches you about the professions. l

et me ask you this: what does a master doc who akf healed an afk tumbler all the way to master know about being a doc?

the same guys thendrops master doc 5 minutes later and afk crafts 8 trillion blaster pistol barrels and becomes a master weaponsmith who probably doesn't even know how to make a T21. 2 minutes after getting MW, move on to the cantina and afk dance and play music untill you have those professions and so forth.

the only knowledge of the game holo grinding provides is how to make macros and figure out the fastest way to grind a profession.

ok, maybe...MAYBE some people are forgetting its not meant to be ground out fast, your SUPPOSED to achieve it slowly, ontop of that, if you DID chose to grind, it should be nerve racking and cause atleast some small degree of mental anguish. all i hear people complain about is grinding, so... dont grind. take it slow, and eventually youll get it... and if you dont have the patience to grind it out and not complain, you prolly dont deserve it, cause youll prolly just end up as another cookie cutter jedi who gets killed by a BH cause hes dueling everyone in the MO, then crys about it, and posts some anti-BH flame... i for one have been at the grind for... well, unknowingly since launch, casual. and this week i will attain initiate. and im going to stay out in the desert/forest alone and train where no one will find me, so i dont get BHed... and all will be well. (and i wont ever ever complain, you all have my word...)

To be honest when i first got the game i used to master random professions just for the hell of it. i did doc, which was healing afk people, not afk myself. then got some buffs and buffed for a day, then dropped. did ranger for the fun of it and many others, didn't know about getting jedi back then but for the most part i did learn how other professions worked and how effective each one is.

So i would say change the system slightly to include a few more master badges before getting glowy? would stop newbs getting it so fast, say master 4 elite professions, may be a bit low but i think that would work alot better.

You say that during the grind you learn every profession....

All I learned doing my jedi the first time was how to write wicked macros and sleep/eat/work/watch DVD's while the game did all the hard work for me...

And some people used 3rd party clickers to do craftign etc which sucked!!! Afk galaxies!!!!

This way is better.

I agreed. This is a really dumb idea. Holo grinding damn near ruined this game forever. It was the dumbest system for becoming a jedi ever.

Also you have to realize that even tho this game is set in a certain time period and there are really on 2 "jedi" being Vader and Luke the Devs have to make certain considerations to make the game enjoyable. People want to be Jedi, LOTS OF PEOPLE the devs have listened and made the path attainable through killing bols and gurks! *cough* I mean hard work!!!

Simply said... holo grinding was a lame idea bar non. The system they have now is better because people don't have to do the same stuff to open branches thus their experiences are a bit different (sorta)!

That's my two-cents

I agree with you, Why not make it like pilot professions? do quests for tiers 1-3 and grind the last one, be way better, besides,we dont see anakin killing bols for half his life do we?

I opened one holo...only one, when I realized how destructive it was. Everyone was dropping profs they enjoyed and worked hard to get to grind ones that they never wanted in the first place. By the time holo-grinding ended, alot of the people I knew quit the game. They had just had enough!

Lets face it, SOE does not want us to get anywhere easily or quickly. It just defeats thier perpose. They need us to keep playing (and paying of course) and if the game were too easy or too quick to master, we would get bored and just quit.

They have to keep our interest so that we will keep playing. I can wait to get jedi. This is just a game after all. There world will not end if I cannot make jedi instantly. It is the most elite prof in the game.It should be difficult.
