Thread: Devs Withholding Information Is Inexcuseable !!!
a. THE DEVS HAVE SAID THEY ARE NEVER READING THE FORCE SENSITIVE BOARDS! YOU ARE POSTING THIS STUFF FOR NO REASON
b. What CSR's say and what DEVS say are two different things. CSRS are just lackies, they don't program nor create the game at all. Second, I believe the devs have posted that you cannot drop FS skills no ifs ands or butts, have a nice day.

Dude come on, they are human. They didn't LIE to you, they changed their mind.
Even if this is true, to change their minds & not inform us of that change is extremely misleading. Do you really know how many players were counting on being able to get their mains back to their original templates? Every roleplayer who stuck around after finding out that they would have to do the FS grind twice just to get their ONE Jedi char created did so because of the promise that we would be able to get our mains back to normal afterwards. These players have been screwed at every turn. And now those who decide they don't like Jedi will have no way to go back to a pre-FS template without deleting their char entirely. How well do you think that will go over in a roleplaying game?
They are making monumentously stupid decisions with every aspect of the game & are losing millions of dollars as a result. I just hope the rumors are true & Lucasarts is taking this game away from SOE because of how they are screwing it up.
I think you may be somewhat confused ToppDog. Your primary concern seems largely irrelivent. Let me explain.
1. You are asking if you can drop your force sensitive skills.
2. To get said skills you must grind out near endless ammounts of expereince points. Therefore no one would bother unless they were trying to become a Jedi. If you are a Jedi the force sensitive skills are required and you couldn't drop them unless you stopped bieng a jedi first.
3. Why do you want to know if you can drop those skills? Because you want to give up on the jedi grind after starting it? If thats the case you would have simply tried it and would know whether it was possible or not. If you are going for jedi, there is no reason you would want to drop them as you would need to drop jedi first.
4. You are clearly confused as to what unlocking the second character is about. Under the current system (which works the way the devs described it) you get a second character when your first character becomes a jedi. If you want the second character to be a jedi you need to do all the quests and get all the FS skills for the second character just like you did for the first one.

I'm posting because this is either bugged & they are ignoring us, or they FLAT OUT LIED. They DID specifically say before publish 10 came out that we could drop them. I specifically remember TH posting this in a very lengthy & detailed post. And now that it has gone live I want toknow why it's not working. As a paying customer who only stayed around based on that answer beingYES, I have a right to know.

Neither am I confused, nor are these concerns irrelivent. Maybe they do not apply to you in your current situation, but they do to me & many other players insimilar situations. I would suggest carefully re-reading the original post in it's entirety before making this sort of comment.
1. You are asking if you can drop your force sensitive skills.
Yes, because SOE specifically said we would be able to, & now it is not working. And we are to this day getting conflicting information from even the highest levelsof SOE.
2. To get said skills you must grind out near endless ammounts of expereince points. Therefore no one would bother unless they were trying to become a Jedi. If you are a Jedi the force sensitive skills are required and you couldn't drop them unless you stopped bieng a jedi first.
Which is why it's supposed to work in the same manner as existing non-FS skill trees where you have to drop all skills above to drop the next one underneath. The problem is that even if you do drop Jedi first as you say, you still cannot drop any of the FS skills to go back to a prior FS template. We were told we could get those 24 skill pointsback if we completely gave up all FS skills. Unless this is a bug that will be fixed we deserve a right to know about it & why this decision was made.

I am a roleplayer who is already pissed that I have to do the FS grind TWICE to get the proper char for my Jedi. I am still willing to do that, but NOT if I will not be able to get my main back to a pre-FS template, which means I need those 24 goddam points back! And there are other players who have already found out that they do not like the Jedi profession & want to revert back to their old templates. As it stands right now their only option is to delete their mains & make a new one with an entirely different name, etc. You may find this an acceptible option, but I'm pretty damn sure they do not.

I amFULLY aware of howthis works, & this has absolutely nothing to do with this post at all. Again, read before posting... the concern I am raising is that once you get that second slot you cannot revert the main to a non-FS template, nor can you do the same with the second char if you also made that onea Jedi & then for whatever reason changed your mind. The case of the second char would not apply to my plans, but it would still be a possible problem for other players depending on their particular situations.
You need to look beyond how this doesn't apply to you & see how it directly affects other players. Many of us who want to roleplay our characters are being lied to & screwed repeatedly with every change. How long has it been since the whole concept of the Jedi revamp has been revealed? I bet it's been at least 3-4 months now, if not longer. Do you think it's fair for them to keepleading us onin an effort to keep us from cancelling because we can't play the game as we intended. Do you think it's fair for them to tell us we'll be able to do something for that long, & then at the last minute change their minds & not tell us to see if we'll go another 6 months before finding out? If you do, maybe you should be working for them.
