Nice work.

Combat 52-88 hours

General Crafting 10 hours

That seems rather odd to me. Guess crafters didn't get it so bad after all. I certainly hope Kurt has a chance to look at that, I doubt the metrics were presented that well when they were setting the conversion rates.

Commandos

I recommend Lok (wild Gurk Nests) as my target of choice.

Get grenades (Thermal Detonators have AP2 or Proton Nades .. Imperial Detonators if you have too). Be sure to be fully buffed with highest possible buffs and good armor (heat or blast special protection & kinetic 80%)

Find a wild gurk nest and hit it with a default launcher pistol (or any pistol attack.)

Roughly 5 Gurks should start attacking you. Target the nest and start tossing your nades. You will need to toss 5 grenades per "gurk-spaz". By attacking the nest(lair) you will never miss, but you will hit all the gurks in the blast radius. **** Stand in the middle of the nest as you toss your nades, this will keep all the gurks in the blast radius (10m usually) ****

I have found that 2 1/2 nest will get you 300k Combat XP. You can make 2 to 3 runs in one buff session if you are fast and have all the right equipment. It actually takes longer to get out to the Village than it does to make the 300k combat xp cap.

This is just my info on being a master commando for a few months now.

Also, Combat XP can be transfered for either FS Combat or Reflex XP. So 14 Trips per tree, or 84 trips per 6 trees.) I haven't even been able to cap out my xp, so if you finish one tree before the phase change, just stockpile it.

Rifleman also have a killer strafeshot2 ability. If you can speed cap yourself, this shot will tear through everything and it's mother or Feral Sister.

Sense XP & Crafting XP are horrid. I wish no one the pain that these two type of xp have to be gained.

Thats my 18 credits.... about all i have left after spending 6mil on Stim Crates /shrug

One of the more expedient methods of getting medical xp is duel and revive. This was originally on the doctor forum.

Kenethrios wrote:

I know this is known by alot of people but have some of you considered the use of the duel/kill/revive method?

it gives you an average xp rate of 205xp per second compared to 72 with buffing.

I'll first explain buffing:

2600 buff => 1300 xp, 18 seconds to buff if you are very fast, most macro's are set for 19 seconds.
1300/18=72xp per second.
Most docs at the village buff for free, or pay what you want. And as we all know buffs are rather expensive.
So that's only 72xp per second for quite an expensive grind.

duel/kill/revive method:

pay someone or use an alt (that's what I do) to run the following macro with you targetted: /peace; /duel; /peace; /macro duel;and name the macro duel

the doc uses:/duel;/pause 0.4;/melee2hheadhit3;/melee2hheadhit3; /pause 1.9;/deathblow;/pause 0.9;/endduel; /reviveplayer; /pause 0.1;/macro duel;
The macro I'm using goes through the full macro in about 3 to 4 seconds (sometimes 3 sometimes 4 according to the logs, so somewhere in between it must be)
you get anywhere from 700xp to 950xp for rezzing someone (it's random but is between that)

so, you get from 175xp per second up to 235xp per second with relatively cheap rez packs.

Comparison:

1.275k FS senses xp x 5 = 6375000 medical xp.

duel/kill/rez: 6375000xp/((175xp/sec+235xp/sec)/2)=31098seconds=8hrs38minutes to get one tree in FS senses

Buffing: 6375000xp/(72xp/sec)=88542seconds=24hrs36minutes to get one tree in FS senses

I"ll leave it up to you, fellow docs, to decide. But please, everyone, tell me what you think of this?

Survey XP, Survival XP, Image Design XP, and Trapping XP all seem slow enough to not be worth considering as a serious path to FS XP

Wrong about Image Design.
As Master Image Designer you have zero waiting time for all changes you are doing in a salon (except stat migrations), which means you get XP almost instantaneously.
With a good mind buff I can grind the 80k to the xp cap solo within 45 minutes. Which beats everything. Only downside is that you've to do it in a salon and that that the cap is pretty low.

(posted this in the other thread as well; hope it's not considered to be a double post )

Little confused about one point you made. You suggested that you get more crit failures in practice mode which offsets the 5% gain anyway? How is this possible, since the decission to actually make the item or have it a practice run is chosen after the assembly roll?

There's about a 5% chance of critical assembly failures.

I found as amaster rifleman, master tk i can pull in 1.8 million weapons xp, which is roughly 60k fs. than with i usually come to about 200k combat with that. my average pull of fs exp is 120-130k depending on buffs. i usually have 3 hour buffs, if they go for a little more than i get a little more exp
