Thread: Casual Gamers = No Jedi

what does it matter who gets jedi? this game has lost its appeal to me with the constant changes and nerfs.......i simply dont feel like adapting anymore. maybe a long break is in order, the endless grind seems like a waste of time with no real adventure quality to it..........anyone else feel the same? i dont care how long till i get a jedi, just make the trip there fun.
i have been to every poi, been everywhere on kash, stuck my toes in most every hole on all the proffered planets, mastered 6 elite proffesionsbefore even thinking about the village quests........not bragging(cause anyone who brags about their time in game obviously hasnt discovered sex yet), just clarifying for those who say, "please go explore first".
so, anyone ever play EVE online?......sounds like a perfect way to waste my time till i poke my head back into the swg door.
to a certain extent i agree kidda, but my point is not just about becoming jedi.........that would be fun for awhile i guess but it was never my goal really. the problem is that finishing my village grind and starting the jedi grind is the only option for me to want to continue this game.
before we get out the old jump to conclusions mat, a few points
1) its star wars......i like star wars and this game is a good outlet for that immersion online
2) people complain about everything, so everything changes eventually.......i can deal with change, im just losing interest.
3) i have participated in a couple guilds.....usually everyone is grinding their fs or jedi xp. boring.
4) kashyyyk was actually fun for me, i liked the interwoven quest series. im bored again
5) jtl is cool. after ahwile i got hit by the boredom wand
6) before kashyyk came around i made it a point to go to all the planets and kill one of everything. you guessed it b.....
7) i am at the doorstep of the journey to jedi and........it doesnt appeal to me
what does all this mean?.....that i am unworthy?....this was meant to weed people out?....a jedi does not crave excitement?
i dont think so, as i said before. make the journey to jedi long and difficult..............just make it fun. i dont care if it takes 4 months or four years. i think this is why you will soon see SWG2. soe or lucasarts or whoeverthey givethe rights to go forward with the next star wars online game will learn a little from this go around and hopefully create a new and fresh experience. i think that this game is dying because of the promise of jedi to the new customers(who quit within weeks), the loss of veterans to the cu, you can deny it but it is very apparent to me that this game will never blossom againand will eventually fall to the wayside. i have heard it said that mmorpgs either stand or fall in the first few days of release. this one stood for quite awhile and will endure as long as there is no other online starwars game for people to flock to.....the only thing keeping us here is the star wars appeal......watch for server consolidation if you dont want to believe this yet.
makes me sad actually......./cry
know what i mean jellybean?

kidda, i edited my post because i forgot my point....lol
i think its fine for jedi to be hard to get.......but marketing the jedi to new players is having an adverse affect. they are dangling a carrot in front of them that is too far away to want to try. better to hide the carrot and let them discover that this is possible with hard work and many doritos.
cheers
Come on people Jedi is the alpha class grinding it should be a dreaded task that most will not finish because well "they don't have time".

Geez, lijin no reason to spell right for a stupid noob like u. how long did it take u to right all that stuff from the dictionary.....
6hrs or more atleast for a small head like urs espaecially trying to put down other ppl means u have a psychosis of ur own. But really i'm redoing Jedi from Publish 9 after it was hacked so some of us should've gotten a Veteran program fo haveing to redo things from scartch on 2, not 1 characters which is a hell of a lot harder now be a good little boy and run back to ur Mommy.
You are officially more insulting to yourself than anything I could come up with ![]()

problem . . . many casual players are veterans of the game . . . players from way before there were any jedi. Are you saying that players that have been active for 2 years don't deserve Jedi purely based on the fact they are only capable of playing 6-10 hours a week? That would mean that they their money isn't worth the same as the power gamer.
Hey I have an idea . . . why don't we pay by the hour . . . that way the power gamers who burn through the day grinding XP pay more for their jedi and seeing how the casual gamer can't get one . . why should they pay the same amountas those who can? It would also make people who want to grind AFK pay for it to . . . wow 2 problems solved!
