I have read multiple post about what to do after you find a code, keep searching for one closer to the village, but i cant even find a code. Me and my guildies have killed hundredswell overa hundred stih that have spawned on dathomirm, and not a single datapad. We drive around randomly killing anything with a sith label on it. Is there a trick to finding the datapad we all overlooked, like a spawn point the farm?

Did you accept the quest yet? I killed a pile of Sith last night, and no frequency disks. I wonder if you have to have the mission in order for the frequency disks to drop? I haven't taken the quest yet, was hoping to havea pile of disks first... maybe not huh.

Odd. I haven't taken the quest yet and looted four disks in about 45 minutes. I basically solo camped the spawn from one of the bases (the pirates and outlaws, and an occasional thug). No driving around required, another batch would spawn pretty much as soon as I cleared one. I'd guesstimate my total kill count at around 40ish, which would make the disks about a 1 in 10 drop.

You don't need to accept the quest first to get frequency disk loots from the Siths.

The only difference I think is that if you first accept the mission, then those Sith will aggro eventhough they appear as yellow dots.

So I guess everyone can loot those disks, even non FS players.

Mccorey, Maccajnr, thanks for the prompt reply. I just killed a pile of Sith that were standing around, I don't know if there was a base nearby to be honest. Seems more likely now I just killed the wrong ones LOL.

The Siths who drop the disks are somewhere around the base, like 200-300m away. Just circle around any bases (preferably with the shields still active, so there won't be any huge groups of bad Siths thugs which are only there to defend the base). They are in a group of 10-15, shadows, pirates and 1 thug. I personnally don't know which of those are dropping the disks, someone need to answer, or maybe it's just random.

And it's only when exchanging those disks to the captain that you know for which base it is.

There is an easy way, I know it has been posted before. I have a high success rate at this mission. The best way, distance not being so important this way, is with a group of 5+, all buffed. You can do it with less, even 2, but with less it takes some practice and luck.

First, you get your 2 questers, the rest are canon fodder. (The questers should be in a seperate group with just the 2 of them.) You set up on the back side of the base, right side, the front gate being in front of you, just outside turret range. The shield guy runs up to the front alone, facing the gate. Deactivate the shield. The 20 Sith spawn. Shield guy try to run back a bit pulling the Sith away from the gate. Shield guy HAS to die. Once he dies, the commander will spawn. The shield guy then clones and needs to head back to the base to meet up with the capturer. There is no time to re-buff, just head back. If the shield guy is too quick, wait for the capturer outside the base and beyond aggro range. The shield guy (not sure if capturer does) will get a message that the mission has failed. Don't believe it, for it has not.

Next, send up all but the capture quester and at least 1 meleer. These are the distracters and should be on bikes. There job is to pull the Sith and get themselves aggroed. Run around the front of the base, not to far, because they will outrun the Sith, which will return to the base. Just keep them occupied.

Then send up the meleers to hit the front turrets and take down the wall. Once the front wall is down, the capturer runs (or rides) into the base and heads to the point at the back walls, where he stays completely still. The meleers move into the base and take down the inner wall (and the antennae). The capturer then moves into the tent. The capturer needs to be non-aggroed for this to work. He captures the commander. The meleers then run out of the base, picking up any bored Sith. Followed out by the capturer and the commander. The capturer then walks back to the village. The capturers job is to escort the commander and should not engage in combat, his job is just to walk. Everyone else needs to rally onto the capturer to escort. The Sith will not follow very far from the base and will drop off a short distance from it. The escorters job is to occupy spawn and engage the Sith that will attack the capturer on his walk. (The Sith that attack on the walk back do not seem concerned by the mist around the village and will follow into it. I have even had a group spawn just outside the gate to the village.)

Once in the village, you are safe. Talk to the captain and complete the quest and enjoy your reward. If you do it right, the only person that dies is the shield guy. If anyone else dies, clone and get back to the capturer ASAP. This is no time to worry about buffs after all. Wash, Rinse, and Repeat with the next 2 questers.

Thought i would help out with this trick. hope it helps

There is a very simple way to finish this quest (done it 11 times now. failed the first 5 times)

Here is what you do.

Team up with someone else who needs to do this quest and then get a couple of friends to help too (ill explain later) around 5 to 7 should do it and insure bigger success. now whole group go out and hunt some siths so you can get some frequency codes i would say make sure you loot 6 of them for a bigger chance of a base closer to the village. when you got them you go back to the village and talk with the captain. when he transforms them into shield take down remotes you will be set to go.

Now whole group goes to whichever base you got (make sure its the right one lol) and when there this is the trick. do not try to kill 5 sith thugs to make the commander spawn. this will take too much time and probably make a whole lot of thugs spawn on your ass. trick is to use stealth and sacrifice. the two doing the quest will choose what part of the mission they will do. one will be the one to capture and escort the commander back to the village and the other will be the one to do the "sacrifice". which will be lowering the shields. cuz if the one lowering the shields die when doing so the commander will actually spawn within a few minutes (usually 1 min you can use your overhead map to see when a white dot spawns inside the tent in the base) so...

Whole group gathers at a distance before gate to base...make two groups. the two doing the quest and one with friends in it.

a rifleman if such is ingroup will sneak up and take the two turrets out infront of gate. when done whoever was chosen to take down shield and do sacrifice will run towards the gate and deactivate the shields (at this time rifleman could also run forward alittle and take out the gate. maybe even the turret just behind gate really fast but make sure to get out of there as soon as sith thugs spawn. burst run if needed . now when the guy lowered the shields he should run inside base and try to destroy the gate into tent inside base (best would be someone who can tank some) get gate then do sacrifice... run just outside base and engage in fighting (as you probably know the sith thugs does massive damage so you will die fast)

So first quest guy is dead now right outside base. commander will spawn anytime now and you got all the siths just outside base... phase 1 of this base is now done. now what you do is a doctor in group (need one for sure) will get on bike.... drive towards base. jump off and rez the sacrifice guy. and both get out of there and meet up with your group. (note... do not run directly towards your group since that could bring all the siths down on them) when whole group is gathered again doctor should buff sacrifice guy/girl up so he/she can join for the rest of the fun.

Time for phase 2 and this is where the friends come in. what they are there to do is be cannon fodder

when everyone is ready "friends" group runs towards base and attacks siths making sure everyone of them is aggroed (area specials works great) . when they are all aggroed you . all friend runs at the same direction away from base. best thing would be if everyon ran right of base making them chase you. capture guy/girl and sacrifice guy/girl (lol gotta be political correct here) will move closer but not do anything until they see a clean break into the base. when you do whoever needs to capture commander runs in real fast and use the capture command on radial. the one who lowered shields will be the other guys backup. he/she will watch out that no sith attacks the one capturing the commander. ifhe gets aggroed then get them off his back. now run towards the village and do not stop for anything. notice i said RUN. no bikes you have to run. shield guy/girl will watch your back. and all the friends as soon as you get away and not aggroed you pull your bikes and make your way to the other guys cuz they will need the escort on the journey to the village. now just run while your friends takes care of anything attacking.

this will make you finish this quest. and you will get both the colour crystal and the awesome mind buff crystal

Quick reminders.

Two people needing to do this quest.

Friends who can be cannon fodder lol

1 rifleman. and 1 doctor

Let a melee fighter do the shield part if such is one of the guys having to do this quest

make sure all sith are aggroed before friends make them chase them away from base and that they all run the same way and that whatever way they run you run the other way

when commander is captured then Run towards base do not use bike

friends come fast to escort the party back to village.

Thats all. hope this will help someone

Last night a friend and I grouped to do this...he took down the shields and took the commander part.....I snuck into the tent and discovered I couldn't capture the commander!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I told my friend to come back as he had gotten killed...and he got the commander out and I followed him back to the village.....we thought we had done it....So I talk to the captain ....and he acts like I NEVER did the mission!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He says I will tell you again what you need to do...so in effect my friend did the mission solo...got the credit and crystal...I got zip.........I HATE THIS MISSION..I have done this mission 5 times now on various servers....I REALLY HATE THIS MISSION......

I managed this quest with no problems at all.

Here's how we did it.

My group consisted of 4 people, myself (TKM), a carbineer, a medic and a swords/fencer/TKM tank (and oh boy could he tank - 7 thugs at one point).

So we tried this the day the server switched, so rather than trying to get a base near the village we took the first one that came along. 7.5k away!!

We deactivate the shields, go in and 'Scip (our tank) takes on the thugs while we all take them down one by one. (Now at this point I'll point out that I wasnt interested in the mind buff crystal - this was my last unlock so I just wanted the mission). So after the 5th thug, the commander spawns.. I wait until we have killed off a few more of the thugs then capture him.

I sat in the tent until all the sith had unspawned then made my run for it. We had scip out in front of us, my and the commander in the middle and the other 2 guys at the back on the lookout for sneak attacks. I kept running (not burst run) all the way back to the village, didnt stop once as my convoy dealt with the anooying ambushers. I made sure to keep the commander within 40m of me - this was only really an issue on the hills. And got to the village in about 45 minutes from leaving the camp.

Wahini, your problem was, whoever takes down the shields CANNOT capture the commander. Or like you experienced, it credits as if it was done solo. Also, you cannot capture if you are aggoed.
