Very very good post. I have a question. I know it's one quest (and that starts a branch of the tree) per phase and I see that it takes an unreal amount of FS XP to complete the branch ... so, if I do not complete the XP for the branch I hsave started this phase before the next phase of the village, will I still be able to take another quest at the next phase of the village?

YES!! This is WRONG!! You absolutely MUST get six FULL branches.
There is no shortcutting the XP requirements by only doing the lower level boxes, sorry,

are you sure merchant xp is suitable for crafting master tree?

Trying to verify this, along with more info on NPC's and the quests they give. He or she may appear in later Phases, or may have been removed during testing. If someone knows, please PM me.

Hey all,
First off great guide! It's laid out very well and is easy to understand. I actually have a question that deals with the old man however. Here is my situation. I did all of my holo professions and then kept grinding out till I decided to stop profession grinding at prof #16. I then cancelled my account until this new update came out and changed all of the FS unlocking. When I logged back in last thursday and checked my force level I was already glowing.
Now it has been 96hrs since I logged in and checked and still no old man. I have been doing all of the little tricks that are supposed to help speed it along. My question is am I just extremely unlucky or am I bugged somehow due to the fact that I reactivated my account? I didn't think that reactivating it would do anything quirky. It would simply seem to the system that I had not logged in for two months. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. I just wanted to ask on here before I submitted a bug report. Thanks!

not sure. judging by the time it took everyone i know, and their badges, you shoulda been visited a long time ago. maybe someone else has an idea.
got a few questions of my own now. (btw ithiris, amazing guide. and are you POSITIVE that we can take our time to grind up the boxes? like if i get melee speed in phase 2, i dont HAVE to grind all 4 speed boxes before phase 2 is over? cuzz someone on another post was saying differently. but i think i trust your guide more

)and also, i need to know about what type of missions whip gives. he says that he needs help finding villiageers, but i wont be able to per form them till phase 3. just need to know if theres anything in particular i should pick up to help it, like ranger or something.

One small thing...
In my skill tree the Healing tree gives:
+10 Injury Treatment Speed
+10 Injury Treatment
...rather than the +20 Treatment Speed that's listed here.

Ok this is my first post on the forums yippe glad to be here.....ANYWHOO! I recently got glowy ( around 5pm EST had to get a profesion badge ) and this whole pahse thing and jedi skills thing is confusing me.....dont get me wrong your guid has helped me ALOT but im still very confused about alot of things....
1) What would be the quickiest way to get to initiate so i can start getting to do actual jedi stuff ( IE weild a saber and such ) i just wanna get a jedi as quic kas possible hehe wanna weild a light saber more than anything.......just wish anyone could like equip it and turn it on i love light sabers
2) am i correct in saying since i have no free unlocks and will ahve to grind all my xp and all 6 branches.....its going to take roughly 15 - 18 weeks......and if its gonna tkae that much around how much FS xp will that equal and how much regular XP does that equal
3) Are the "Phase skills" you mentioned the only skills a jedi get? or like when you get your new character slot do jedis get there own skills thos skills are just to get jedi..
4) if i die while doing the initiate trial......where i have to go kill that ub3r jedi or sith whatever if i die do i have to wait a long time or can i do it right away again

well just going by the list it will be phase 10 before I get the branches I want to use in to proceed to jedi so that will be March 8th. I'm not happy with this but hey SOE controls it. But my question is this if anyone can answer I did the combat tree for phase 1 Ranged accuracy. If I choose not to put anything into this box and just stack the XP for phase2,will there be any penalty?
