6. Holo-grinding Perks
Paemos will have an extra option for those who have hologrinded (or just did a lot of professions). He offers "free branch unlocks". These are improved unlocks similar to those available in quests. They happen immediately and (very importantly) they give xps to train skills with. The number of unlocks you get will depend on the amount of hologrinding you did. Someone who unlocked before Publish 10 should have 6 unlocks allowing them to train 6 full branches of FS skills and thus qualify for Jedi Initiate. Currently you cannot unlock a skill that you have already unlocked with quests -- although you can still do quests for skills you have unlocked with your free unlocks. Upon unlocking the skill you will obtain 1,275,000 xps of the relevant experience type. If you unlock Enhanced Senses: Persuasion, for example, you will get 1,2750,000 FS sense xps. You don't have to spend these on the skill you unlocked. You could, for example, unlock persuasion and then train luck. The xps are enough to train novice and the relevant branch. It is important to note that you will cap your xps at 1,275,000. That means that any xps you had, for the relevant category and prior to unlocking, will poof. If you had 100,000 FS sense xps, for example, and unlock persuasion, you will have 1,275,000 xps -- the same as you would have had if you unlocked with 0 xps saved. This means that you should try to spend all of your experience before unlocking any branches that have the same experience type.

So let me get this straight. If you got to your silent holocron you will get credit for all 4 holo's and get 1,275,000 xps to spend on a branch in the new fs trees or is this something only for those who unlocked?

Also is there a conversion for Slicing Xp?

And can anyone update the phases and have them complete?

Thanks

X

Another question, say someone gets alot of unlocks, are they still constrained to get their last few unlocks due to the time gateing ? Say I get 5 unlocks, and i need my last final 6th branch.Would I be constraned to the time gateing to get that final branch?

Well, if you have 5 free unlocks, then you only need one more unlock, so as long as you pass the first quest you get, then you should be able to go on the the exit quest. For people that have fewer unlocks, yes they will be still have the time restrictions. I'd recomend saving the 'free unlocks' or planning out your unlock stragegy before spending the free unlocks, you don't want to accidently hit a phase where you already have all the branches you want unlocked from that phase.

Well, it looks like the difficulty of the sith outlaws you need to kill in order to get to the village has changed. As of the night of Aug 26th, here is how things looked:

The first 2 sith outlaws that attack after the old man gives you the crystals had about 450 HAM.

The sith camp, has 3 sith outlaws, 2 with 450 HAM, and one with about 2500 HAM.

For those with non-combat builds, these fights are easy enough that I could just send a combat R3 droid in and sit around munching popcorn while the droid killed everything.

In addition it looks like the sith outlaws that carry the disks also carry a resource container that is needed to complete one of the crafter quests.

Sup Imist! If ya got 5 unlocks, you still have to do 1 quest. Only part of the gating you have to worry about is what phase the quest is that you want to take is. You'll want to use your unlocks on Phase 4 branches, then Phase 3, and then Phase 2, while trying to do a Phase 1 quest. Course if you're not interested in taking any of the Phase 1 quests/branches, you'll have to wait for Phase 2.

I completed the Whip's quest for Phase 2 last night. You have to retrieve 6 supply crates from 6 downed transports on Endor. You have to talk to the Whip, go to endor and get the crate, then go back to whip and deliver the crate and get another waypoint and head back to endor. It's a fairly boring quest to be honest. The reward for the quest is a Focused Crystal that is +2000 health for 2 hours. Not sure on the reuse time though.

Think of these quests as registration for Force Sensitive study courses. The quests just allow you to study and train in one skill tree. You still must patiently gain the xp for each tree and fill in each box. With the xp conversions required you probably will need enough xp to learn your mastered profession many times over again. This is not trivial. The only advantages over the earlier holo system is that you can earn the xp while you are already aMaster so you don't have to start from scratch. You also won't have to keep switching professions which many thought was a drag on the game. By the time you are finished with 6 trees it is likely (depending on the conversion rate for your profession) that you will have earned enough xp to master your profession a lot more than 32 times.

Gabe you said that in phase 4 Villege Assualt that you would have to defend the villege every 2 hours and the first time you get a completed mission and then you heve to do it a second time well what if we can't get on every 2 hours to do that will it still work?
