I updated to include the most recent info on rewards for hologrinding.

There won't be an updates for a while, but come Monday I will be trying to publish a near-final version of the guide and I'll start working on the Jedi Initiate guide.

first of all: great guide!!

i like the idea of the village and its quests, BUT what kind of a bad joke is it to replace grinding with grinding in a more difficult way??

i was grinding for 8 months, mastering 25 professions & no unlock. now i have to read that i have to learn/drop and grindprofessions again for getting the FS xp..

sorry, but this is the WORST i've ever heard..

I have read in other threads that you need a minimum of 70 badges that must include the Warren badges, the trivia badge, the Jedi and dangerous exploration badges and a master profession, to get the old man to visit you. Can anyone verify this for me?

Thanks

70 is not the minimum. I got the 'inner glow' and visit with 65 badges I believe. I posted this on another board when I received my visitor.

I just received my visitor and here is where I stand.

65 total badges.

All Location badges except Fort Tusken pool and the downed spaceship on Dathomir
    4 badge collector badges
    Mark of Courage-Hermit
    2 warren badges
5 profession - Swordsman, Brawler, TKM, Doc, Medic
    5 explorer badges
    Imp Theme Park
    Nym Theme Park
    Jabba's Theme Park
    2 Neutral Corvette badges
    Theed Librarian

I had all of them last night except for the Theed Librarian. I did that first thing upon logging in today. Then went to Keren and did two runs on the Keren track. Preceded to shuttle to Tat and got ready to do the Mos Espa track. I then got the message 'You have completed your task' and a few minutes later got the same message again and the stranger approached me and gave me the crystal. I haven't been visited by the other two yet.

being able to stack the little resource drops would be great considering the item restrictions we all have.

6. Holo-grinding Perks
Paemos will have an extra option for those who have hologrinded (or just did a lot of professions). He offers "free branch unlocks". These are improved unlocks similar to those available in quests. They happen immediately and (very importantly) they give xps to train skills with. The number of unlocks you get will depend on the amount of hologrinding you did. Someone who unlocked before Publish 10 should have 6 unlocks allowing them to train 6 full branches of FS skills and thus qualify for Jedi Initiate. Currently you cannot unlock a skill that you have already unlocked with quests -- although you can still do quests for skills you have unlocked with your free unlocks. Upon unlocking the skill you will obtain 1,275,000 xps of the relevant experience type. If you unlock Enhanced Senses: Persuasion, for example, you will get 1,2750,000 FS sense xps. You don't have to spend these on the skill you unlocked. You could, for example, unlock persuasion and then train luck. The xps are enough to train novice and the relevant branch. It is important to note that you will cap your xps at 1,275,000. That means that any xps you had, for the relevant category and prior to unlocking, will poof. If you had 100,000 FS sense xps, for example, and unlock persuasion, you will have 1,275,000 xps -- the same as you would have had if you unlocked with 0 xps saved. This means that you should try to spend all of your experience before unlocking any branches that have the same experience type.

So let me get this straight. If you got to your silent holocron you will get credit for all 4 holo's and get 1,275,000 xps to spend on a branch in the new fs trees or is this something only for those who unlocked?

Also is there a conversion for Slicing Xp?

And can anyone update the phases and have them complete?

Thanks

X

You will get branch unlocks, although from some of the other threads it is hard to tell the exact number. I would recommend training a branch to box 4 as soon as you unlock it (you 1,275,000 xp per unlock, but since that is the max you'll have alot go poof if you use more then 1 unlock at once.)

I think I heard Slicing converts to FS Sense, not sure.

The thread author said he'd do a complete update next week, he's still compiling information on the quests to make sure he has it correct for us.
