Er.. I had a crafter, and did do that. Would you like it if everyone in the game had an alpha class profession? That would eliminate the need for an alpha class.
TBH there shouldn't be an alpha class, period, but that's another discussion for another thread.

The majority of people who go to the village are going there to become Jedi, I think that is very obvious. Yes it is unfortunate that crafters and such have to kill the sith outlaws, however all you need to do is group with friends and or log onto an alt character and your problem is solved.
I think it's probably a bit hard for someone who has only been registered a month to know what everyone wants...

BTW - nerf the crafting FS lines put lines that will be useful to a Jedi. Also, nerf the obsolete rewards aand again give something useful.
As someone who has played since launch, I seem to recall the devs saying in the beginning that Jedi and a second character slot would be available for everyone to pursue. I also remember the hologrinding phase. People were told to master crafting and entertainment professions as well as combat professions. I agree that the obsolete rewards (and quests) need to be worked on.
I have both a CL 80 character and a CL 1 crafter character. I don't see either of them as being better than the other. They have both mastered professions and have learned about the game after two years of play. The game pre-CU was more about being a master of your chosen profession and not about your combat abilities.
A low CL character does not necessarily mean a new character. I would love to see a time period that needed to pass before people could start on the road to jedi. This would eliminate some of the 'why don't I create a newb and get walked through the jedi process' posts and would ensure that people have learned/enjoyed something about the game prior to starting jedi.

I didn't get one, and I've killed him twice, once for me and once for a friend.

I think whathe's asking is if those who have defeated mellichae previously are going to be automatically rewarded with the new loot without having to fight him again.
I'm pretty sure the answer is no.

I'm aware of that, hence my anger, aslo need to find out if people who've already completed Phase IV Reflexs is going to get this new rewarded with Publish 20. Or are we screwed there too?

Force Sensitive Profession:
2.Phase 3 Capture Enemy Leadership - Sith Commander moves way too slow and refuses to climb hills making only 1 base (the one nearest the Village) viable to complete the quest. Any Chance of getting this fixed?
This mission requires planning, cooperation, experience and focus. I completed it today from the third closest bse. It was a testimony to a well executed operation. Please do not nerf this or make it any easier. I could solo it if the difficulty was reduced, and that would be lame. There are enough Jedi running around let's continue to make people work for their Melee Accuracy FS quest. All these "fixes" in the game that reduce the challenge of the game reduces game enjoyment. There should definitely be rarely completed, tough content in this game. Let's not turn the game into a ticket punching exercise / "I've been around long enough, I deserve it" experience.
Bottom line: If you can't complete this quest as it stands today, you shouldn't be FS anyways. The jedi path requires patience, not CSR service.

Convert Rate of Space Experience to FS-XP? I hate Ground-Grind, but love to fly.
Oh and the 2-3 (yes both)Sith-Shadows have the tendency to try Load-Ganking. As the Player appearsearlier in the world than his client shows it, they already can attack. I lost my first crystal due to landing on Yavin's Science OP,and due tohaving helmet off, could startdo defend me with half health.Headshots seem to be afavourite tactic of NPS anyway, the Helmet of myconvertedSuit did last 1/3 as long as the rest. Anyway. Thy incapped me, took the crystal and buzzed off, I stood up, put in aStim D, and followerd therm, killing all 3. None of them HAD the Crystal.. logic? Did they teleport it away?
Making them a BIT easier does not devalue the way, it just stops unwanted frustration, esp in the face of things like 1 Week of Bonus-XP, you loose whilst wating for the oldgeezer to show up. again.
Also: Is thera possibility to turn down trhe old man? If you dont want to go FS?

The quest is supposed to be designed so that one or two people can do it. I don't think it should only be doable by people who have several Jedi and Riflemen to help them. There is a difference between a difficult encounter and one that is utterly impossible without a large amount of outside intervention.
Comparison: The doc tells you that Necrosis is extremely powerful, and shouldn't be fought alone. An entire group can get credit for killing him. Thus, Necrosis is DESIGNED to be a group encounter.
An entire group can enter the Deathwatch Bunker and fight to the bottom, but only ONE Jetpack and ONE piece of armor can be created. The DWB is designed for a full group that has no more than TWO crafters and TWO people who are going to collect on the rewards.
The Captain who gives you the Melee Accuracy quest says "We pride ourselves on our teamwork. So if you CHOOSE to work with one other individual on this quest, I'll reward you BOTH." Only two people can get the reward, the NPCs themselves are fairly weak, suggesting that the mission SHOULD be doable by only two people. Do you really think two people who need to do this mission can do it with turrets who hit you for 5500 damage per second from 200 meters away without needing LOS? I was killed before I could even see the turrets on my radar at 128m (and I hadn't even started the quest yet), instantly, though my armor had 7000 energy resistance.

All very valid points, except that you don't need riflemen or jedi to complete this quest as it stands. Bringing a couple riflemen and jedi will surely make it easier, no doubts there, but it's just not neccessary. There were not even turrets up when we did it. You can interpret (misinterpret) what the captain says all you want, but you're only going to hear what you want to hear. Basing your argument for a weaker mission onthecaptain'sbrief statement, IMHO, is a weak point of view. If a FS character desires melee accuracy, he should work on conquering the quest, not on getting SOE to change the game to suit his personal opinion. Regardless of the development team's intentions when this mission was designed, it's a solid challenge now and should stand as it is today.
