So I was out loot hunting today and got 2 clear and 3 color crystals. At the moment I'm not a jedi but I'm going for it. Is there any way for me to tell the quality of the crystals even though I'm not a jedi?

No, only jedi can tell the quality of a crystal/pearl. You can allways ask one to check it for you though, just put them in the trade window he/she can tell it from there and you dont have to trade them fully over to the jedi in question.
Furthermore, colored crystals dont have a quality as they are only for color purpose. At least they didnt pre-CU, might have changed now as I hear they add elemental damage..

Ask a jedi to look at them. Tell them you aren't selling and are curious how they are. Mainly because I've seem some say they are garbage and offer to "take them off my hands" for little to nothing and then have someone else look at them and say they were good.

I was told that the color crystals don't do much if anything to the damage/power costs as it is all in the clear, pearl or banes heart which are the key.

Hope this helps, I'm not a jedi either, but hopefully soon.

I get them bigtime from Corsairs at the POI on Lok. Also get them from Tuskens, but those are my 2 main spots I always fight at.

Hey sry to ask a slightly noobish question. But y do all my different crystals have different conditions. Some are 800/800 and some are 1200/1200 does this make them any diferent?

The con on crystals is just like all other things, you use your saber and the crystal decay!But most jedis use ADK on the saber, so the crystals inside the saber dont decay.

Condition is the durability of the crystal. The higher the condition, the longer it will last. Once you are a padawan, you will be able to see the quality of the crystal (good, fair, premium etc...). The better the quality, the higher your odds are of getting a good tune (once they fix tuning obviously).

So a crystal that has 800/800 that happens to be premium is a lot better than one that is 1200/1200 but with 'fair' quality.

The durability of a crystal has nothing to do with it's quality. You will be able to determine a crystals quality after the 9th padawan trial if I remember correctly.

I wouldn't be here if I weren't a strong supporter of 3869209th chances...

Where are crystals droping now adays. I found nothing in the Force Crystal hunters cave and that use to be a hot spot for them!
