what kinda genious would be grinding jedi on TC anyways??? They are just gonna wipe the characters clean when they are done rofl

Why punish those of us who don't do the power-grind thing? You realise that I wouldn't even have the boxes in FS that Ido have (3 to be exact) if it wasn't for the conversion of combat xp!! I have NEVER used the" 'nades"and never will, this is just punishing me, all I ask for after a friekin year of paying for this game is another stupid character slot!!!!!!!!

Great fix!
Change the nade xp to heavy weapons and let the rest of use CASUAL grinders have a friekin snoball's chance in you know where to get a second slot... at least we'll USE ours.

I've not been here long I will be the first to admit that but i have been shocked at the devs lack of ability to fix anything or to size up a given problem correctly and then implement a correct fix.
The problem with combat xp is simple... nades. A simple and correct fix would be to convert the combat xp given by nades into heavy weapon xp, a more drastic change would be to make a new Nade xp with a 30:1 convert... the fix they are implementing is completely off the mark, infact if this were a shooting range they'd be so far off the mark they would hae shot thier own foot.
I knew nothing about this nade combat xp thing till these posts were brought about and today i tested it for about an hour and can see the attractions of it, fast combat xp and v easy to do. But the downsides were i had to throw a nade then basically go afk whilst my grp did all the work and i hate stuff like that. Now this new fix they are implementing brings forward2 more questions:
1) As everyone will now know about the nade tocombat xp after this is brought into affect or if they read this forum, will bringing in a 30:1 combat xp convertion increase or decrease the amount of ppl exploiting this game mechanic?
2) And do SOE really want the future to be a full grp of lvl80's hunting bols taking it in turns to throw nades and go afk whilst the others kill?
Its a sad fact aswell reading these boards that its understood the devs don't bother listening to us, and its pretty obvious to see that aswell when u see the fixes they bring in that cause more problems for the gamers and fix nothing in return. I just hope that a dev somewhere reads some of these posts here and actually puts 2+2 together and see's that the problem is nades individually, not combat xp on the whole.

I swear if u guys played the game as much as u complained you all wouldn't be here complaining about how long its going to take u to get jedi. Here's what i think u guys should do "Deal with it".

The Publish notes don't mention this and as far as I could see none of the test notes have it either.
Is this not going in todays publish or is it going to be a stealth nerf?

Iam not sure which annoys me more, the change or complete lack of official word on it. This is a major change that will effect a large portion of the player base and it seems like they are trying to slip it in without a word or warning.I pushed hard this week and have only 5 blocks left so if it is not in tomorrow's patch, I should be free and clear. I disagree with the change since it would be adressing the grenade exploit in the least effective way and seriously hamper anyone grinding the "right" way.

Ahhh just finished banking the rest of my combat/reflex xp.
just in time too!!! even if this nerf doesn't go live it's nice to know that i got this all outta the way.Haha it's too bad that it was the thought of the combatnerf that motivated me tosupergrind all of this fs xp but whatever I'm done now

Once you think about it they did the conversion change rates on purpose for a good reason.
1. Gernade grinders
and
2. Too many jedi around now.
i have noticed in the past few weeks that the number of jedi have gone up, ALOT, so this conversion rate thing was done for a good reason, slow the amount of jedi that are coming.
sure i want to unlock a jedi too, and this will set me back a few weeks, but i dont mind when or where i unlock my jedi, as long as i get one im happy

Can they break things anymore. If grenades were being such an issue, why not create grenade xp instead of punishing everyone else who grinds the xp the normal way. I didn't even see this nerf in the notes of the publish so at the moment I am treating it as a bug and will continue to treat it as such.

The nerf is live since pub21...meaning instead of finishing my 6th box in a week or so I am now looking at 3 or more weeks! I'm so sorry SOE, that I have a job and a life and I can't spend 15 hours a day playing your fine game. I'm so sorry that I can't afford 3-4 accounts to help me powergame. I'm so sorry that I have spent literally months working on hologrinding, then village quests, to get so close only to see it crashing around my ears. Most of all, I feel sorry that the programmers are so obviously overworked that they felt a "fix" consisted of changing code by a number instead of doing something that would not kill those of us who aren't grenade masters.
