just mightily pissed off just now, trying to study E-commerce and web development whilst suffering the flu for my exam, and not getting enough time to grind my pistoller / bounty hunter toon up.

And some of us are in High School, don't need to study and can play for 8 hours a day...
I certainly have the time to become a Jedi, but after 5-6 months of play, I get burned out in even the best games...

I have been playing this game since Day, and I am what I would call a casual gamer. I have two FS Characters and not even as close as you are to Jedi, but I expected that. I know it is frustrating but I figure you just have tocommit yourself to it if that is what you really want. I do hope to make it to Jedi, but I may not because of the huge grind involved. What bothers me more is that I don't think the current new Jedi system is really any better then the first one. It really isn't content based as much as I believe the vast majority of people would like it to be. Also I don't believe the new Jedi system is at all how George Lucas ever visioned it to be. None of the movies, books or games by LucasArts ever emphasize constant fighting as a mark of a Great Jedi (light side of course). They should never be ranked by their combat prowess. Yoda the greatest Jedi for several hundred years in Lucas' mythos states clearly; "War makes no one great!" and goes on to say this never makes a great Jedi (he obviously is not referring to the Dark side Sith which would use any means to power and their own dominance). By the way I do know George Lucas and I have close friends who have worked on each of the movies as well as on the updating of them, been to his ranch several times and watched and listened to their discussions as they sought to put Lucas' vision to film (or digital material) and about some of the books. So I am not talking from a void when I say this. It is the most sad part of the entire Jedi system in SWG.

I had actually forgot about the no-backpack-with-robes deal.ButI doknow that the poor low level Jedi can get their arses handed to them by durnis. i'll be there soon enough myself, with a bit more time.
But the point of my post was not to call for a modification to the Jedi profession, it just kind of popped up in the middle of this thread and I addressed it. I'm sure you understand how suchthings go.
And for everyone else's knowledge, I did pm Tiggs about this thread, encouraging her to read it. I'll let everyone know if I hear anything, but I wouldn't wait with bated breath if I were me. Wait, I am......
