Thread: Bleed stacking

Hehe, from my pre-correspondent days.

Well, something changed. They stack in both PvE and PvP. I wasn't able to find a Modified Republic Blaster to see how the built in DOT interacts with the bleeds.

It's easily testable. Fire both, make sure they hit, and /peace. If 2 numbers float up, they are stacking. This is what I saw.

Bounty Hunters especially.

FireShot burns Health, and HealthShot2 bleeds Health, they stack and BHs are rightly feared for it.

Take the blue pill,Ô
Play SWG, never dual-wield your pistols and believe whatever you want to believe.
Take the red pill,Ô
Play MxO, and I will show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

SWG was never the game I wanted it to be, even before the NGE. All the NGE did is take away what gameplay SWG actually did have.

they've changed bleeds a few times, and one of the updates nerfed bleed stacking.

(added initial hit damage)

(made initial hit damage targeted pool)

(nerfed stacking of bleeds)

(etc.)

Right, I know they made it hit specifically health (or mind/action depending on prof.) but I never noticed the stacking of the 'bleed' tic going away (It happened while I was a master bounty hunter and I would bleed 5-6 different things then pull out the LLC so I had alot of time to notice how different tics happened....did they do something else after that?

apparently after they nerfed bleed stacking, they unnerfed it. it was in effect for awhile at least - i remember using the multibleed tactic for a time, then it wouldn't work after it was nerfed. i haven't tried it in a long time since then, so the stealth unnerf passed me by.

I tested it yesterday in a /duel with someone.

HS1 with a scoutblaster, then HS2 with a Scoutblaster, switch to mod. republic, and hit for a normal shot then wait for the bleeds.

3 bleeds popped up short afterwards, so HS1+HS2+Mod.Rep bleeds do all stack in PvP

Coreena speaks the truth.

To whoever it was asking about the Mod RB: the "Strength" is stat of the bleed (105), but the poll it targets is Health.

To all those saying this and that was nerfed: the only thing that was nerfed about bleeds was the damage they do per tick and the ability of them to incap. Instead it was changed that they did greater initial damage but that the bleed itself did only a fraction of the initial hit damage. Later it was changed so that healthshots targeted Health pool only (not really a nerf in my eyes).

Dev' Eloper uses Combat Balance Reschedule on you for 6-8 months worth of damage points!
You shoot your mouth off on the forums but miss! You post constructively but it is deleted!
Ubercred It'Duper tips you Cr 27,000,000,000,000,000,000 but you evade it!
Dev' Eloper uses Publish 10 Vendor Fix on you for 55 item limit damage! Your vendors and 12 months of work have become incapacitated!
You use Cancel Account Button on Dev' Eloper for $15 p/m of damage!
Dev' Eloper tries to use JTL Expansion pack on you for $50 worth of damage on you but misses!

You use windows sys32 fdsk utility on StarWars Galaxies program files for 2.4Gb of damage! StarWars Galaxies: An Empire Developed is no more!!

Well, I tested it and it didnt seem to work. In any event what kind of tick were you getting from all 3 in pvp. My bleed tick is horrid not worth the shot. Can you tell me if you got a decent tick what you used?

Yesterday I decided to work my way back up to Master Marksman for the hell of it, and I picked up a modified E-11 carbine. It was also fitted with an inducer, or whatever it is called, the same piece that is fitted onto a Modified Republic Blaster to give it the automatic bleed effect.

I checked under the "bleed type" field, and it said "Health."

I think this lends some credence to my suspicion that that field is telling you specifically which stat the bleed is going to be attached to, not the potency of the bleed as has been suggested. "Health" is pretty untranslatable to me as a designation of bleed potency.

Therefore, if our HealthShot bleeds target the primary stat of Health specifically, and the Mod Republic Blaster targets thesecondary stat of Strength specifically, these two bleeds should stack.

I am going to get my wife to duel with me tonight and I'm gonna "put the bleeds on her" (she hates it when I say that over TeamSpeak - "Gonna put the bleeeed on 'em") and test this once and for all. I'm going to use the suggested system of monitoring the "ticks," looking for different values, to indicate two separate bleeds in action.

I'll also try /peace after I throw one shot with the Mod Rep Blaster and a HealthShotwith my DX2 on her, heal the bleeds, and then try HS1 and HS2 and see what that does. Heck, I'll also try hitting her with all three. I hope she doesn't scream "wife abuse."

We just need to experiment through this, and we should have the answer soon enough. Perhaps some other people with Mod Rep Blasters could replicate this experiment and see what results they come up with, as well?

-------
- We see it time and time again in the so-called "content" the developers throw at us. This ain't Star Wars. It's some rip in the space-time continuum that spawned a parallel universe in which Order 66 went horribly-wrong and thousands of Jedi babies got smuggled away like Luke to be raised elsewhere, and now they are all coming of age and making holy terrors of themselves on the normal population for having turned on them a generation ago.

LOL... good wifey.. I have a modified RB. I will try to be diligent and give it another try. It still is usless though if the ticks are tiny.. I hope we can get it up to 100 per tick overall that would make it worth it too me in pvp..

Well the bleed from the rep. blaster was 105, thats not really uber but not totally crap...

The 2 dots from HS1 and 2 where around 20 or 30... so not really worth it...

And my Mod. Rep. Blaster states the dot as follows:

Type: Bleeding (ok, should be pretty obvious)

Attribute: Health (the pool that is attacked by the dot)

Strength: 105 (the strength of the bleed, namely 105 to the Healthpool, has nothing to do with the strenght attribute)

Duration, potency and Usesare obvious as well.

So i don't really understand where you are all so confused about that it doesn't target strength but health...

From the attack descriptions I believe its Health Shot 1 and 2 that bleeds the secondaries as it says something about those messing up the regaen rate and usage rates and thats the secondary stats.
