BleedsdamageHealth, and they wound either Strength or Constitution at random.

Okay,I KNEWI wasn't crazy. Here it is, straight from the Publish 8 patch notes.

"DoT stacking from combat specials has been changed so that each player attacking a target can only have one fire dot, one health bleed, one action bleed and one mind bleed."

Randon, you need to tell the Devs that its borked.

edit:

that's publish 7, not publish 8.

Heh, I knew you weren't crazy. They really were not stacking at one point. I've just been assuming that it was intentional for them to stack again, and didn't make it into the patch notes. I'll ask the other correspondents if this is what they are experiencing..

Don't we kind of want them to stack though?

Well yes, we do...but that would be terribly irresponsible for you to hide information from the devs, Randon.

With them starting on the Combat Balance soon, I think itd be best if they knew as much as they can. What if they decide to give one profession many bleeds as a perk and don't realize they stack? But yes, in the current incarnation, we do want bleed stacking.

I don't know if you can stack bleeds from weapons but you can stack health shot 1 and 2 they don't turn into one bleed, they tick at seperate times. (Also bleeds are helpful, not some diabedis test.)

Hey, I really thought they knew for some reason. I hadn't given it much thought. I'm making 100% sure though.

The way it usually works with these "Is this a bug or a feature?" questions is Thunderheart says "What would you like it to be?" .. that's what I meant by "Don't we kind of want them to stack though?" I do try to be responsible about such things.. we're too accurate at 64m, we spam Health Shot 2 because it is better than Body Shot 3, etc.

Well I think everyone agrees that they like bleed stacking because it makes you more powerful. If Thunderheart gives you the ol "What would you like it to be?", we should probably ask around on the forums and make sure that its the general consensus that we want bleeds to stack.

And I know you're responsible enough, Randon.

Okay, note to self, do NOT try to remember details about SWG when you are at work...

Absolutely right, the Mod Rep blaster DOT goes after Health, as well (we all know but I had to say it as I have said otherwise in this thread) so so much for getting tricky about bleed stacking

Honestly, though, if we had decent specials, would the bleed stacking matter, anyway? We should be able to do enough quick damage such that our target doesn't have time to tick away, anyway....

-------
- We see it time and time again in the so-called "content" the developers throw at us. This ain't Star Wars. It's some rip in the space-time continuum that spawned a parallel universe in which Order 66 went horribly-wrong and thousands of Jedi babies got smuggled away like Luke to be raised elsewhere, and now they are all coming of age and making holy terrors of themselves on the normal population for having turned on them a generation ago.

Has anyone done testing with bleed stacking? I hear you stack 3 if you hit the same body part several times? I'd like to see some numbers if anyone can provide them. I'm wondering how useful this can be when combined with dot's from elsewhere.

So I got to do some testing on this before they took TC down and I can't log into even TC-Corbantis. It does stack but it is impossible to tell what part of the body you are hitting, but if you watch the combat spam if you hit the same spot 3 times you will see the bleed DoT tick 3 times in combat spam. The dev's know there is no way to tell where you hit they are the ones who told me that themselves. I was thinking of maybe a color coded bleed icon a color for what ever spot you hit you can visually see 3 of those bleeds under there HAM.
