HS2 and the Republic Blaster DOT will work however HS1 will not. If you need to stack some more bleeds onto something consider picking up a new weapon skill to complement pistoleer such as fencer. With fencer and pistoleer 3 DOTS on health are possible.

okay, i'm going to explain this again. i explain it all the time, and people always think we're living in the days of patch 5.
Only one DOT per type per pool. That means, you can only have one health bleed at a time. HS2 and HS1 don't work at the same time. Modified Republic Blaster bleeds and Healthshot bleeds don't stack at the same time.
This is what was commonly referred to as the "bleed nerf."

Again, my understanding is that it may stack in pve but does not in pvp. In any event, for me I have tried it out for the 3rd time now on a friend in pvp. It does not seem to stack there. If it does, it is not of any value. It simply does not do enough damage, but hey you get a pretty little icon beside the person's name..

Randonb, can you confirm if HS1 and HS2 stack. If they don't I will free up that hot key space.
If they do stack will it work with the dx2 and others, or only the rep. blaster.

Actually, Commando Flame DOT's do NOT stack.
The only way to stack more than One DOT per pool... is to have Two different players attack the same pool with a DOT.
So Two Commando's,Pistoleer,BH, (any class with a DOT) can stack DOT's on the same pool.
That is the only way under the current system.

Right. LikeI said before, one DOT per type per pool. So you can have a health fire, mind fire, and action fire. You could also have a mind bleed, mind fire, mind poison, and mind disease. But only one per type per pool.

It is my understanding that there is a difference between primary and secondary stats when it comes to bleeds. So, theoretically, you should be able to stack HealthShot 2 and the bleed from a Modified Republic Blaster because HS2 bleeds Health proper and the Rep Blaster bleeds Strength.

The Modified Republic Blaster has a Health bleed, not strength bleed. It says "strength" on it, but that tells you how much damage it does.

That doesn't sound right. I'm not at home such that I can log in and check, but I thought it said "Bleed type" or something like that, and then it said "Strength."
It it was denoting how much damage it was doing, it would be labelled "Strong," not "Strength."
Can people with other DoT bleed weapons check their weapons to see what information they get in this field? A comparison should answer the question.

I'm fairly sure they still do, just like CM poisons stack, AOE and single.
For some reason the game recognizes an AOE DOT as somehow being different than a single target DOT so a commando can stack flamesingle and flamecone just like a CM can stack area poisons on single target poisons on area diseases on single target diseases. If you do not have access to an AOE DOT then the rule holds, one of any type/pool.

I've heard a great many Pistoleers say that Health Shot 1 & 2 do not stack. I'm not sure what they are talking about. Perhaps they don't in PvP, but I don't PvP often. I'll try to duel somebody today and find out...
I do know that they stack in PvE, though they might not if you are using a Modified Republic Blaster. I haven't owned one in some time. If I can find one today, I'll buyit and do some tests.
EDIT: cleaned up a bit
