uhm, I don't see how a stun baton could "penetrate" armor ?
Stun weapons (blunt weapons in general) should never have any armor piercing potential. They do damage by the shock they give, but they are not slashing or piercing in any way.
The graf stick on the other hand could very well be AP1. It has some kind of sharp nail or whatever, and it would make sense if it could pierce through light armor.

Edit : I am all for a new weapon btw /sign for a new weapon

Problem with your agrument, we get the same defenses as you do vs high end mobs. If our defenses stayed good vs everything in this game, then I would agree with your point. But seeing how you as a Master Rifleman would have the same defenses (minus toughness)as a Master Fencer when fighting a high end mob, how is that fair? If your talking PvP, how is it a Rifleman can hit me more than 50% of the time even with CoB......maybe its because your accuracy is higher than any ranged profession in the game atm. So that means you hit me every 2 seconds with the most powerful gun in the game while my weapon bounces off the armor and psg. (I wont even attempt to explain how you have mind damage attacks and we have health). We get great defenses, but those defenses can be countered too easily and that leaves us with average defense/bad offense.


And I agree, if you do not have another combat Mastery in another profession, forget about doing anykind of worthwhile damage.








1. No, rifleman are missing one very nice defense that fencers get, melee mit, luckily, I have both .


2. I can't hit a fencer with cob macro at 25m more than 50% of the time. This is whyI chose melee for myself as well.


3. My weapon is also reduced by much, when it hits mind you, reduced by 40 stun armor, 45-60% psg and 44% synthsteak(yea people use it), toughness, and ranged mit. I look to dots now for a better offensive.


4. Yes, yes fencer does get a mind attack, called scatter hit.

Scatter hit aint a mind hit it hits the other bars as well ull get very luckey if u manage to do some damage to a good armored guy with that

I do fine mind damage with scatter hit and not even a great baton, 227-312, post stun armor i still hit well.

OK some thngs have to be understood .


WE ARE FENCERS last i herd fencers dont beat the **edit** out **edit** with bluted wepons and poke with daggers.


they use long u charpened pointy sword to finecefully poke there oppenets to death.


stun baton i thik shuld be taken out of the game its a bs wep. we need swords foils ,and rapiers. we need theese to be fast and have 200-300 dmge averge and have ap 1 they shuld do kenitic or maybe a energy blade. but wtd are us fencers doing with blunted bats.

Most professions are in pretty much the same boat against a prepaird PvP'er.


A TKM with a 183 dmg VK can do as much as 550dmg Ap1 kinetic in PvP with UH3. By 80% kinetic armor, intimidate, and toughness this can be reduced to 17dmg in PvP.


A MSowrdsman with a 700dmg Power Hammer can do as much as 1260dmg AP2 Blast in PvP with 2hHit3. By 90% Blast armor, intimidate, and toughness this can be reduced to to 30dmg in PvP.


A MFencer with a 350dmg Acklay Bat can do as much as 788dmg AP0 Stun in PvP with 1hHit3. By 40% Stun armor, intimidate, and toughness this can be reduced to to 45dmg in PvP. Add a 40% Stun PSG and it can be reduced to as little as 14dmg in PvP, though these burn out fairly quickly.


You get the idea. In pretty much every case, a buffed and well prepaired opponent can regenerate dmg as quickly, or almost as quickly, as a profession can dish it out. Your only real exceptions are going to be Riflemen, Pistoleers with uber Geo or DE-10's, Jedi, and the few people who happen to get their hands on the rare super duper ultra l33t looted DoT weapons for their profession.


It won't change as long as people can wear the 900+ encomberance uber armors without any penalty, and that stuff is easy to get. God mode is currently on for anybody willing to create a PvP template and invest a few million credits in their gear.
