Thread: MASTER FENCER WEAPON Here is a thought to give us a decent weap at master!
I think a skinny Rapier blade with a nasty Bleed DOT and Light AR pierce capabilitywould rock.Give it speed and equal or a little better damage than the regular 1-H Curved sword.
Granted, the Bleed DOT will most likely be nullified with First Aid 2 but, it would still rockif it had better speed. Does that sound too uber or unreasonable? I like the story line too...The loot schematic could come from an Ancient treasure buried somewhere onLok. That might fall in line with the Swashbuckler title since there are plenty Pirates there.....lol.

Nope, were fine how we are, just make the vibroblade a bit better, thats all. We dont need new ap3 weapons, or whatever, just make our current vibroblade, a littlebit better. Stuns are balanced (in my eyes) Gaffis are far from balanced, unbuffed their virtually useless (health cost) but hey, their high dmg. We have a working secondary defense, which not only works in melee, but in ranged (though not as much)
Na, we are fine on weapons, what we need is some more useful attacks (comon, spin2, blind2?) Dizzy2 is better then both of them (damage wise) What figures that? rotfl.
Not ment to flame you to wazoo zion, but your looking like the swg devs do, they want to /add /add /add /add without doing a /fix first...

I don't think you are right on that.
When it comes to professions, all the devs do is nerf, nerf, nerf....not add, add, add.
And while you may be fine with the weapons, the public outcry here over the lack of said weapons paints a picture different than the one you have laid forth.
So I respectfully disagree. Just because we are less broken than other professions does not make us 'fine', and the devs should always strive to add content to the game - too many people complain the game is boring as is. Plus, fencer is in pretty good shape aside from weapons, so having content added would definitely not disrupt much for us.
Finally, our damage dealing is too bad for people to be calling us "uber" - the cries of that have been few and far between and have gotten fewer still, once they realize that there are more powerful professions out there.
So I feel your whole post is moot, actually.
Fencers are not ment to be Pve gods, they arnt, thats tkms/swordsman.
But for that high dmg and standard damage types, they pay dearly, their (mostly) useless in PvP.
No, the professions are relativly balanced as it is, the Scythe was a nice little bonus to swordsman, they can compete some now, but there is yet to be one thats a serious threat in my eyes, a pure swordsman.
I just counted, it appears we, fencers, get 7 total weapons (there about) with swordsman having the same ammount, Tks with 1(2 if you count fist) and Pike with one less.... If anything pike needs a decent weapon.
Fencer could use a little re-vamp of attacks, the spins are, as I stated worthless basicly. Fencers cant out-damage tkms, or swordsmen, aginst armor'd mobs, theres no doubt about that, but they cant out-damage us in PvP.
If someone is going to whine about fencer not doing enough damage, they need to be given a link to the TKA board and have a field day

Well I like the idea of a new fencer weapon, But here is one in the game the fabled rantok sword! There must be thousands of them out there, but not one single schematic... I'm sure someone in the whole damm galasy can back-engineer something.
My problem with fencer weapons is the lack of choice:
- If you want to do damage other than kinetic you have a stun baton
- More damage equals Gaffi
- Speed equal curved ( By the way our swords are minimal, the 2-H blade looks like a proper sword. The rykk, vibro and curved are all small sword size... The guys who designed the weapons should look at real lived swords, they are long, especially skill sword as oposed to brute strenght ones ) And of course the rantok is damm ugly!
- I've been to more than1 hundred weaponsmiths and they all do the same weapons with the same stats.. a good gaffi has 3.4 speed and bad one 3.6, this one does 220 that one does 210... I see much more variety in missile weapons. Was holo-grinding Master Marksman and found like 10 different carabines to grind with, they all had different stats and suddenly I had choice! Ham costs vs damage vs speed... Maybe it's very obvious but it's there and I'm sure not obvious to all, not for me certainly : )
As to the quest thing, I love quests so by all means Put one up or ten!
The special attacks issue is much more important: I like choices but choosing between and attack that blinds foes and now it's area and an area attack that blinds isn't choosing it's semantics. Plz alter the text on the skills or change them. Maybe +10 to combat equilibrium or whatever just change it.

They can't on it on their own....Many borrow defence from fencer or TK....Or master Doc....As for damage and AP...well those are related, their "extra" damage comes from the AP...the multipliers are fairly close to yours (I think, havn't seen a Fencer, or tk for that matter,multiplier breakdown yet) if you had a Comparable weapon you would do comparable damage AND have the defence to back it up all in one profession....That probably the valid only debate here.
Answer this...do you want us nerfed ?
