Why don't you become "savy" and use synthsteak then? This is not a nerf it's a fix!!!! We should NOT be able to hit through toughness and synthsteak, it's unfair. What our correspondant is "championing and cheering for" is a balance to our profession. Every other profession without a scatterhit is suffering from these things why shouldn't we? God forbid our profession instantly drops from being uber 1337 pvp profession and becomes on par with the rest of them (cm excluded =/). I have to agree with Fury and say good riddance to all you fotm fencers who only joined so you couldkick ass with broken specials.

This is the only element of scatterhit2 that i have personally tested to be broken. Included in this, is synthsteak (unnatural toughness).
It is nothing to do with dodging, or stacking defenses. It is all about how much damage we dish out now with ScaterHit2.
Previously, synthsteak would not protect you against scatterhits, now it will. Bang, instant 45% reduction in your PVP damage. It affects all of your savy PVP opponents: not just the melee classes with toughness skill mods.
This, fellow fencers, is something that your correspondant is championing, and cheering for.

lol, Fury you are my hero.
This fix needed to happen. I personally never used the attack because I felt it was an unfair advantage. Hopefully players can figure out how to survive in PvP without smashing one button (I won't hold my breath), I know I have for the past 3 months.
It's time to see the real Fencers now boys and girls. Who is going to stay with a profession that can't spam specials? You mean you might actually have to use specials and tactics to survive. I know, I know, back to your saftey net Rifleman. If you leave Fencer because this obviously bugged/unfair special was finally fixed, what are you going to do when the CB comes to pass?
Anyways, for those that leave because of this I wish you well. I guess the next time we see you post it'll be in the Rifleman & CM forum.

To the above posters who are saying we are now in line with everyone else? What server do you play on because I'd love to play a server w/o CM's and Riflemen???
Oh well thanks for the warm send off. Don't let my poisons/diseases bother you in return as I go to grind CM/Doc now since it seems the only nerf-proof profession in this game is Combat Medic. I loved Fencer, but since it is now Pistoleer with a stick and virtually useless in pvp and pve, it's time to go. Have fun!

First Fury is just championing a bug fix, bugs should be fixed.
The "real" fencers will be sticking around, the ones who just did it to pwn in PVP will move on.
Part of the problem is that people heard SH2 was "bugged" so many many stories cropped up about how it was bugged. "It ignored Armor and PSGs," or "It ignores dodge and other defenses."
When the reality is that it simply ignores (ignored) toughness. Nothing else. Meaning that perhaps TKM's and other melee professions may be a little tougher.
We still have a viable weapon, we still will get hit the least. Sorry if were not as uber as you would like. Bye.

Scatterhit2 still hits mind which means it's still good in pvp.Like I said earlier, good riddance to all you fotms leaving because this move is no longer bugged, you will not be missed. You guys are pretty much saying that you joined this profession to utilize a move that you knew was broken so that you could become uber in pvp, it's like admitting to being exploiters. When I first took up this profession I had no idea that scatterhit2 bypassed toughness, it was only when I started visiting the forums that I found this out. Now that it's fixed I, frankly, don't give a damn. This professionhas more to offer than justone move. Have you guys forgotten our uber dodging, our great defenses, our blazingly fast speed, and our state effects? This is still one of the best pvp professions in the game. Yes, it's true that cm/rifleman do tear up the pvp scene but that will come to an end with the combat balance since the fencer profession will not be seeing many, if any, changes.

I would like to be the first one to hit the buzzer on you. Scatter2 damaged directly through counterattack and dodge.

Here we go, notice the 10 cho mok's... and then notice where the cho moks turn to scatter shiak, then reference the incapacitation.

I dropped Fencer a while ago to pursue other things (never quite mastered though), and now I'm coming back. Should make master by Wednesday. I guess this means I might be able to get a great Acklay Baton for less than all my savings.
That makes me a very happy Fencer.

*Claps*
I just now noticed this thread, but praise God. People whining over this adjustment need to be taken out to pasture and put down.
TKMs/Jedi and anyone else who suffered because of this bug didn't deserve to. I love the class, and will be sticking with it. Its still very good in PvP without some bugged attack anyway. =P
