The last official Dev posts I saw about Wookiee armor said we are getting one suit in Publish 9.2 and the last one will come "later".

I saw raph koster aka holocron (the original creative director for swg) once at the "Gateway" movie theater across the street from nxnw. He had an episode 1 shirt on.
Now that I think about it......why do I know what Raph Koster looks like?

Riflemen will have a 5 second delay between shots, and reduced damage
Did they laugh in your face? or did they wait until you were leaving?
Sorry mate that was harsh but your talking about an 80% DPS reduction not counting the suposed reduction in damage. Can you honestly say you can see riflemen getting reduced in damage per second by 90% give or take?
I think someone i either lying or playing games with you hehe

Just so happens SOE/SWG developers live/work in my city-- I ran into a pile of them at lunch, and asked some questions about whats to come with the combat rebalance, fencer, wookies...
They said, ALTHOUGH this is subject to change, the following is planned for the next release (pub 10):
1) Wookies will get 2 new types of armor
2) Fencer will be nerfed:
A) Dodge will be completely removed and replaced with a small amout of block
B) Fencer will be mostly a DOT-Based character (you read that correct) with a new Dot attack
C) Swordsmen will be STATE based.
D) TK/Jedi will be the best combination (for removing states/poisons/etc)
E) Riflemen will have a 5 second delay between shots, and reduced damage
F) Stun damage/defenses are considered broken and will be re-worked with the new armor an combat rebalance
G) Force Run-2/3 will not be nerfed, and they laughed about how the jedis can run, throw saber to blow up bikes in persuit..
H) Your MAIN character will become your Jedi..not a new character
I) It is currently NOT possible to become a Jedi, if you've already unlocked, you will have to wait for pub10 to become a jedi
... thats about all I got outta them ... This was just word-of-mouth, so I can't gurantee its 100% correct, just what I was told.
You know I kinda believe that.
Two things that lead me to think that:
1) With all the issues and topics in the game and on the forums a Dev responds to this. hmm
2) The poster has not posted anything false or misleading in the past.
Regardless if it is true or not:
What would be nice if a Dev posted a Broad Outline of the concept of the revamp.
For example: you will be only 50% as effective as you are now.
I am not even bothering to play or build a new templete until this information is shared.

As is, what makes rifles so powerful is mostly the Jawa. Put AP0 on that puppy and things are a lot more balanced already.
If they cut the DPS in 5, and then reduced that,Rifleman would be doing 15% of the damage they do now. If they then change stun around too, you got nothing left.
You are making all this up, bud. Either that or you talked to the guys that run the Mailroom at SOE.

You mean other than Doctors, right? Or are they putting ina 5 minute cap on them, kinda like rifles 5 sec cap?

It sounds pretty truthful, and I can hope it is true, apart from the wookie armor, they need a nerf.
Not only will rifleman speed cap be nerfed but every other profession will have a different speed cap, i think that's pretty obvious. At the moment they can hit for 7k in pve with a T21, putting a 5 sec cap on that is not only reasonable, but pretty smart considering pistols will get to a most of 4k and carbines a most of 5k.
Just use your heads and not freak out because your profession you use to spam headshot in pvp is getting a nerf.

I agree with most of what you state. This however I dont. There will ALWAYS be a FotM, no matter how 'balanced' the devs claim the game is.

Will you listen to yourself?
5 sec cap = 80% reduction
7,000 (your figure, btw) * .20 = 1400
So pistols hit for 4k, Carbines hit for 5K and Rifles hit for 1.4k is reasonable?
It might not be in perfect balance now, but that is retarded, bud.
