Thread: Buffs
Its just that there are now veteran armorsmiths out there that are established and manufacturing large amounts of high level armor. Now that they are setup it's very easy to get the 1 or 2 new resources they'll need from time to time.

It seems to me it's not the Jedi that are ruining the game at all, it the attitude of what seems to be the vast majority of Jedi in the game. I'm talking about light jedi not dark jedi.
Example: Suppose you have a crooked cop, what do you got? You have a crook, not a cop! Same with Jedi, if they act like jerks you got a Jerk with a meaningless title over his empty head, not a Jedi.
Can you imagine Luke killing some storm trooper or some other enemy and then gloating over it? When he defeated an enemy he didn't even smile! It seems that he fought only when he had to in order to defend himself or his friends or to avenge the death of a good friend.
The image I get of Jedi are the very antithesis of a griefer, which most of these bozo's who claim to be jedi are according to what I read and hear.
I do agree that Jedi should not be a dime for a dozen, but really, if every person with the name Jedi over their heads strove for the high standards that a *real* Jedi lived by, I think people would be glad and feel safe around Jedi unless they were of the opposite faction of course.
If I were to put it into one sentence, I would say "Too many Jedi forget that there is a real life person on the other end of that character they are causing grief to." This is a shame.

As for buffs being nerfed, I can't disagree more. As my doctor and my brawler took on the TKA profession and finally mastered both, I noticedmy mind pool shrinking like an alkaselzor pill in a glass of acid! This is SO ironic because its so *opposite* of everything else I've tried. When I was training up from novice medic to master doctor I used my mind a LOT because that's what doctors do and like a muscle, if you use it, itis supposed to grow stronger. Contrast this with TKA where their very power of meditation uses the MIND, and ALL their special moves except berzerk use MIND, you would think the mind pool would increase but no it shrinks!!! TKA are deprived of the very stat they need the most of!!
Without buffs, my TKA characters even without any armor, would be out of mind pool within 10-15 seconds at most if not even sooner. There would never be any epic battles lasting for a long time because everyone would be spending 4 minute sittinig on their butts while their ham replenished so they could engage in another 15 seconds of battle.
If buffs would be made to go away, than the huge staggering HAM cost of wearing composite armor should be drastically reduced. I note that composite with its staggering encumberances is listed as LIGHT armor. If this is light armor I'd hate to see what heavy armor would be like :Roflmao!!
Oh I almost forgot to list my rebuttals to the inevitable replies that I'll get ...
1. "Get an entertainer buff!" - I lost count of the times I've entered a crowded cantina full of master dancers and musicians and could not buy an entertainer buff for all the tea in china!! All those AFK entertainers who complain about not getting tips ought to slap themselves and realize that they could make a lot of money by offering buffs for tips, but nooo, they expect tips for being afk while they sleep in bed all night. When I go into a cantina I try to find a master entertainer that is not afk and I always tip even if they are all afk, they will just get a larger tip if they are actually present at the keyboard.
2. "Drink brandyand eat Canape!" That's fine advice until you die to some mega mob spawnand you find that you've lost the buffs these things give but you can't eat or drink any more because the developers did not want players to be able to just clone and eat and drink and rush back into PvP, but they didn't take into consideration the fact that the player just died doing PvE. Sitting on one's fanny = no fun and no fun leads to boredom and boredom leads to canceled accounts.
3. "Justdeal with it." Fine advice. It's all I can do, but don't you agree that there is room for improvement here.
PS: JTL - Lots of people like it, and it might be a lot of fun but I wish they had concentrated more on fixing and improving the game. Expansion does not equal improvement.

You need at least Doctor 0/2/2/0
But at that level you won't buff the broad side of a barn, so you might as well just master it. Although some people go 0/4/4/0, but in that case you can't make buffs, so you have to spend a ton of cash on it.
the command is /healenhance

Actually, you only need 0200.
But, I have just finished musician to go with my master dancer and want to start to buff.
How long do I have to dance/play for with what instruments/song/dance and pauses in between flourishes etc?
I have attempted to buff, but it always comes out at around 1hr15. =(
Thanks =)
