Need to keep your eyes on all the 'performer' forums nowadays (Musician, Entertainer, Dancer). That's why I'm here. Remember, we're all in this thing together, we're all suffering the same, so it's good to have unity.

"Do you see what I see? The question includes the phrase "specific advantage to the musician profession." So technically, I suppose TH might have known about the changes and didn't mention them because they are not specific to musician."

From what I understand, at that time (when those questions were answered) there were no plans to include anything for entertainers. It was only after repeated hounding at the Fan Fest that the dev responsible caved and added this stuff in.

Personally, I think we need more fan fests. It seems like our correspondents can corner the devs and give them a piece of their minds face-to-face.

ninja fix

It is +5 Wound Healing per box for Dancer and Musician (combined) for a total of +20... so it is now possible to have 145 Music/Dancer Wound Healing.

not sure if I'm happy or sad...

How about we go with happy and move on to actually fixing our Professions and playstyle.

I do my best to look at all the forums, but I still didn't notice anything about this. and I agree - we're all in this together.

However, I find it extremely annoying I have to post something in 3 places just to get my point across to the Entertainer community in general. I wish they had one unified place for the "social" professions.

Good to know we're an afterthought, a "bother" for the Devs unless we crab and moan and whine and beg and be pathetic. Oh, and shame on the Dev team for lacking vision and understanding to the the point that our Correspondents, considering how hard they work with the Devs and whine all the time anyways, had to waste their Fan Fest time pleading for us to have SOMETHING of value in the Jedi Revamp. This game's Dev team needs a good lashing and reminder of WHO PAYS THEIR SALARIES.

I dunno folks, I'm tired of it. So tired. I hate what they've done to this game lately, I hate how they've treated every player in this game lately, I hate having to come on here and whine just to feel like I've been talking to a brick wall for hours. It's pointless. I think I'm just going to give it all up, and be one of the ignorant rabble running around the galaxies. Ignorance is bliss, and I'm considering just wallowing in ignorance again.

For the love God, Allah, Buddha, whoever - I've had "Musician Dev Pro Tempore" in my sig for weeks, they don't give a rat's *ss. They're a freaking joke, people. It's beyond pathetic. The Devs are dead, long live Warryyr and his glorious regime!

Warryyr, allow me to be brutally honest.

I don't think they know what "Pro Tempore" means.

Many of my friends in-game did not want healing mods added to the FS trees, because they felt they would have to do the FS quests to be on par with everyone else... they expressed concern about being forced to do the quests to advance their skills as an Entertainer.

I was not so worried about this, because I want to do the quests anyway to get a second character slot. (most likely not to be used for Jedi)

The thing that keeps me from being happy is the way this came about. I will try to outline it off the top of my head.

  • FS skills mods are added to the game for various professions... a series of quests are to be required to obtain these mods

  • the devs forgot about (or neglected) Entertainers when these mods were originally developed and coded

  • in the next turn for Musicians to submit a question, TH apparantly chose his own questions on a whim, instead of allowing the cors to submit them as before

  • TH answered his own question with ~"the Musician cor. should work with the Musician community to create a reasonable list of requests for skills mods to be added to the FS trees"~

  • the Musician community (as a whole) has not done this (to my knowledge) probably because most of us thought it would not result in any changes anyway

  • no further official communication was provided to the community at large about the possibiltiy of adding these skills mods

  • the Publish 9 patch notes mentionthat Wound Healing mods for Musician and Dancer were added to the FS trees

Obviously TH is psychic since he already knew what question the Musician community was going to pick.
Apparently the devs really did not care what list we would come up with since they chose the skill mods on their own.

What is wrong with this picture?
Do you really think I am so upset about this in particular?

I am not. I am upset because of all the crap that we have to go through to get something done for ourselves.

You say we should "move on to actually fixing our Professions and playstyle." I am rather hesitant to beleive that any 'fixing' will be unlike what has happened here. I am absolutely sure that if we just "go with happy" all the time instead of voicing our opinions about how poorly we have been, are being and will likely continue to be treated, then there will be no "fixing."

Not all the time LeBob... just on this one thing that doesn't actually have very much to do with our profession. I have a feeling these are going to get revamped way down the line. We can work on it then.

This bonus is not a make or break. It is all together un-noteworthy. Self-buffing, other ways to get bonuses, all the cool things we thought about for these FS boxes before we knew what they were... those things are still valid fights. Just not right here, not right now.

They are currently sitting in the Dancer GCW and CB proposal the Devs have. (psst, I haven't seen Tiaga and NewJedi's, I'm not sure that they think this is a good plan, but I never miss an opportunity to fight for anything we want, I don't care what it comes in with This just wasn't it. Dig? )

As I said, I know this particular thing in and of itself is not so important... it is just the lack of communication that irks me.

Actually, the part that drives me straight up the freakin' wall is that it's yet another bloody idiotic boost to Wound Healing (Music) & (Dance)! We do not need more boosts to Wound Healing, dammit! We need more Fatigue Healing!

Sweet goddess, these people are out of touch. Deliberately and with apathy aforethought. Yeesh.

And yes, I also find the lack of mention of Musician by title insulting, without even going into how the 'fix' is not for Entertainers, Dancers & Musicians, but for the people who make use of their services.

Yes could we get NewJedi to bug them about leaving musicians out of the patch notes... It is not much, but if we could at least get the to acknowledge that we exist it would be a step forward.
Who ever wrote that list obviously forgot the we existed.

Hmm, didn't see a peep really in the Musician forum.

Um, we asked an entire Question about this.
