While I agree with most of what you are saying here, the underlying issue is that Jedi still need components from MOBs that won't be 'that' easy to fight until you are Knight and visibility no longer matters. Grinding infront of NPCs is a good way to get vis (currently, might not be that way later). Killing Krayts isn't a good idea if we still have a TEF (no one knows if sabers still TEF, but it was said using one increases visibility). I hope the TEF goes away. V

Basically, I don't think not seeing the stats will drop the price that much. Currently, people who are not FS are harvesting and selling components never having seen the stats. Non-Jedi are buying them too, either in anticipation of being Jedi or for their Jedi alt. You only get to see the stats (currently) with a Jedi, but -most- Jedi don't like to come out and say "buying crystals, I'm a Jedi, don't lie about the stats".. noone knowing isn't gonna drop the price -that much-.. at least, that's my take on it..

We will still have to find crystals/pearls. If they decay as fast as they do now, we are in just as bad of a boat. The only saving grace is we get the 'base damage' of a better saber with no comps while we look for more comps.. but we will probably still be sucky with that 4th gen by comparison.. The need for comps will "slow", but it could still pose a problem. We just don't know yet..

Added Entertainer healing skill mods to Force Sensitive Healing skills





ninja fix

It is +5 Wound Healing per box for Dancer and Musician (combined) for a total of +20... so it is now possible to have 145 Music/Dancer Wound Healing.

not sure if I'm happy or sad...

I also LOVE the new filter in the Chat options to turn off AFK players from being heard. WOO HOO!! No more tip spams from hologrinders.

Profession Entertainer & Dancer
  • Entertainers/Dancers: Modifying /watch and /listen so that you can perform these actions while sitting on the ground

  • Ok, so they DO realize this is a fix for the PLAYER BASE, this has LITTLE TO NOTHING to do with our professions, except in how people interact with us.


    Why is it that everything they do/talk about with our social professions is in regards to how OTHER players interact with us. Forget them - WE'RE the ones playing profession!!! WE'RE THE ONES WHO NEED ENHANCEMENTS AND FIXES. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH.


    Oh, and in yet ANOTHER stellar and telling sign of how much Musicians are ignored, the heading of this fix for "our" professions should be:


    Profession: Entertainer, Dancer, AND MUSICIAN


    WE'RE ONE OF THOSE PROFESSIONS, TOO - YOU STUPIDS.

    I'm happy - the fact that they actually put something in for our little corner of the game is absolutely shocking. Gee, maybe they thought us stupid entertainers would react with "Oh, cool - we get ignored with the Jedi Revamp! How swell! Time for me to shut up and go to my cantina's corner with my Slitherhorn to beg for a means of existence!"


    I'm very confused though, that TH (not long ago at all) insinuated that the Entertainer professions (and Musicians specifically) had NO PLANS for getting Force Sensitive skills. Why in the HELL didn't they say anything to anyone that they'd reversed that situation and in fact were adding something to the Jedi skill tree for Entertainers? The complete and total abandonment of the Entertainer communities by the Devs is shameful. I'm assuming the Correspondents had no prior knowledge that this skill enhancement was being put in. That's why the Correspondents are there - so we can find this stuff out.

    We did know, this was brought up on the dancer forum a few days back. Panthu and the other corrs apparently made such a fuss over this at fanfest that the devs did decide to add the healing bonuses.

    Wow, I was all ready to rip into the Devs for keeping TH locked in a closet away from their discussions on changes (given his non-answers), but then I took a close look at what he wrote to Musicians in the last 19 q/a.


    Musician What force skills will you be implementing for specific advantage to the musician profession? Will they be implemented with the Jedi system, or how soon after? If the answer is "NONE" may we provide a list of suggested skills that would be specific to this profession for developer consideration?


    The answer is “none”. Please work with NewJedi to develop a reasonable list and I will work with the team to see what is possible and what is not.


    Do you see what I see? The question includes the phrase "specific advantage to the musician profession." So technically, I suppose TH might have known about the changes and didn't mention them because they are not specific to musician.
