I thought that SWG is one,if not the best,of the better games I have ever played in my life.... till I read about this s..t.

Well I think thatthis kind of dealig with people is very rude and unrespectful by SOE,because aftermakin eating tons of bugsto players, nowall we that are affording hours and moneywill not get Jedi for at least 5-6 months, naaaaaaaaaaaa, this is not a good way. When I asked around to Csr about the unlockin metod everybody told me that things will be changed after PUB10....../slap.....

I hope thatafter this patch I won't lose my rucksack like in beta, lol!!!

please can u clarify this for me..

These changes will affect players who have already unlocked their Force Sensitive (FS) slots. Players who have not unlocked their FS slot may continue to master professions for credit, but no new players will become Jedi until Publish 10, The Jedi Trials.

by mastering proffesions after pub 9i will be credited does this mean credited towards being jedi or credited as in i have getting a new badge and thats it.

Kyle:

You have posted several times in various threads that guardian 4444 are being nerfed. For what is likely the thousandth response to that thinking..."stop getting wrapped around the axle on your title". You are at the top of the pyramid now, and you will be at the top of the pyramid in the new system, with a new level of dynamic ranking to follow if you "choose" to. I personally do not care for PvP and will not endulge in that aspect of this. Once I reach the Knight trials, I'll stop and enjoy a PvE existance as Jedi. I have no problems knowing I went as far as I wanted in the Jedi path and always have an "option" to access this PvP level of play sometime later.

In all seriousness, did you think you had "beaten the game" by reaching guardian 4444? Is that all you want is to get to some end point and then sit there for a few years? If so, then you may need to consider staying with single player games where the story actually ends at some level of achievement, because that doesn't sound like what MMPORPGs are framed as.

I'm trying to discuss this reasonably with you, but reviewing your past threads seems to reveal a serious lack of understanding on your part regarding this new future system. You make comments thatseem to be oriented toward wanting a certain title, certain improved robe over the lower levelJedi, etc. You don't have any better armor now than we do, so that is just unrealistic. Clearly the robes will be in line with high end armor (in publish 9, as well as after the revamp). That was stated in several dev threads already.

As for the force pool and regen, we need to test it in game before we jump to conclusions about the skill trees. You will NOT be able to finish all the boxes in all the trees, and will have to choose what combination you want. Hopefully that doesn't give you a complex about not being able to achieve something, and you realize the advantages to having custom "options" in designing YOUR Jedi.

Thank the devs? Yes, I think we should thank them for:

1. Owning up to a poor FSCS system that almost brougth this game to the brink of extinction and publishing a new quest system in less than a year.

2. Owning up to a poorly designed Jedi profession and lack of integration to the game and community, and publishing a new Jedi profession in less than a year.

3. Providing a means of transferring "credit" for work done in one system (Jedi as well as "holo grinders") into the new system in a way that is most fairly received by the majority.

4. Listening to the community regarding the key issues with what was broken in the Jedi profession, and providing those design changes in the new system.

Just my opinion....

I just got a peak at the Jedi trees. If anyone should be crying NERF, it better not be Guardian 4444 levels who will be able to punch out the boxes they want and move into the Knight Trials.

Unless Jedi XP comes in larger quantities from the same actions we are working in this system (in other words, lift up the caps per kill, keep high XP events like Force Throw, MB, etc), the new system is going to be exponentially harder to level in. The shear amount of XP is much higher, and there does not seem to be any quick Lightsaber columns to complete.

I'm not going to start any complaints here as we will all get a chance soon (Friday?)to find out how hard or similar the trees will be to ascend, but none the less, Guardian 4444 players should be thanking their luck for finding the craft method (if early unlock) or having the durability to sustain the mind numbing animal slaughter to complete the path if these new trees are set up with the same capped xp we have today.

One glimmer of hope is that I noticed all NPCs, and animals I examined on TC were "vulnerable" to Lightsaber damage. That may make leveling easier to compensate for the new increase in xp needed for each box.

Question: When you add another pearl after 1st one breaks does the saber change according to the new pearl ?

Also I hate hidden stats in an RPG .. half the fun is in knowing the numbers , resists damages etc .. hiding stuff is turning the game into an arcade game where people dont care about the statistics only the kill count

Ok I know I won't unlock between nine and ten. What I don't understand is why they can't let us know when we have mastered our last required prof. I and alot of others would be happy if we just knew when we unlocked so we can quit the mind numbing grinding for christ sakes. I don't care that I won't be able to create my character until pub. 10, but I am pissed off that the only way I know for certian I will unlock isif I grind all 32 profs. I have done 20 profs, but do not want to do 32, thats BS!

How many would be happy if we got notification between 9 and 10? Not unlock, but just a simple system message that tells us when we have mastered our last required profession?

Lightsabers will no longer decay; now, crystals and pearls decay based on damage. Once the condition of a crystal or pearl reaches 1 or lower it must be replaced.

This scares the crap out of me. I mean who cares if the saber which cost a small amount of resources decays.. Its the crystals and pearls that should NOT decay. This is going to mean we need tons of pearls and crystals. Sigh...

Don't even comment on chaneges till they are ontest center, would you listen to listen to yourselves being in the devs position,

trolling on about something they are about to let you test first hand. Have some patience and save your whining for after we are allowed to test.

Let me get this straight...

My sabre which tool like 2 mins to make and cost 8 iron, 8 copper, some gas, some crystal ore will now NOT take any damage.

My crystals which either cost me 800k (if i can find one for sale) or cost me xxx hours of game play killing meat lumps or Jawas will now TAKE ALL THE DAMAGE !!!!!!

why should I be happy here?

" bla bla bla you simple tune a replacement crystal....."

As that I dont have a Jedi yet I wont comment on any of the upcomming changes except to say no unlocks between 9 and 10 sucks all kinds of arse. But I have noticed several people in this thread asking about the "colo crystals".

Has anyone stoped to consider these may be the refined crystal pack from your training saber?

Assuming this is the case I'm excited to think that the Jedi comunity will be able, I hope, to keep or even choose the color of their blades when crafting them. I know dmg/FC/spd are the most important things but hey we all have a favorite colo right?

The color crystls are a great idea I think. It sucked having to find an uber component with the color properties that you wanted. All you dumb ppl that are commenting that your pearls are going to decay, umm, it used to be, you flush 4 pearls down the hatch for 1 saber. Now first of all, only a saber master can use 4 damage components, saying you do go that route, once you have your gen4 saber, (as there is no gen 5 i belive) you never have to make another saber again. You just replace your pearls as they go, independantly, so that you aren't running around need 4 new pearls, instead you need 1 by 1 by 1. And the tunning is going to decrease non-jedi farming of pearls, and will decrease their price as the stats are unknown, a solid attempt imo for the devs to stop it from being a krayt pearl driven economy. (the best way to do that is to add more uber types of loot devs, nudge, nudge.) I think the devs are doing a solid job of listening to our jedi complaints, and I will see how it develops on test center, as I am skeptical on robes. I'm afraid of blanket defences unless they are GOOD.
