By more masculine gestures, do you mean for existing dances? If thats the case you're suggesting different dances.

However, I was more responding to others with the same request who have specifically said they wanted different dances for males. I personally want to be able to match other dancers motion for motion if i want to.

One of my characters is a male dancer, although I'm female, because I thought it would make a fun change. I second other people's requests for more masculine dances and a better choice of clothes. I can't even take my shirt off without a stupid-looking undershirt popping onto me.

At the moment I'm working hard to get the credits to be trained in Novice Dancer--I've had the skill level for almost a week, but no money to train it. I've been in Coronet, which is super crowded, so last night I took a shuttle to that little mountain resort town on Corellia--I can't remember the name of it, but it's a really pretty little place--and I was the only entertainer there. I made over 1,000 credits in an hour and everyone really appreciated me, even though I was doing the formal dance and hardly looked manly, hehe.

Some of the dance moves remind me of martial arts moves too, so much so that I have decided that in addition to a dancer my guy will train in Teras Kasi--kind of a difficult thing to do effectively, though, since I have so little Health compared to all that Action (which I hate to drop).

I meant to mention in my earlier post that part of the reason I started this character as male was so I can enjoy looking at him while he dances. Mmmmm.

Well I'm a male using a female twileck character. Thereasons for me chosing such a character are the folowing.

1. Not many groups or campaigns have dancers in them. A dancer in a group can be a valuable resource as the medic is. The only profesion to heal mind wounds is entertainment (whether dancer or musician.) Also i found out that many cities in some planets lack entertainers once again making my charachter a valuable resource (this i found out while plauing my other character a zabrak male comando.) So when I decide to travel to remote and desolate places my services are very welcomed. Not to mention the simbiotic relationship where my services benefit others and I get tipped.

2. It is a lot easier to get tipped as a female; which comes in handy when I want to buy good hardware for my battles. All these young kids with raging hormones apreciate a good looking Twilek flirting with them. I try not to get to tacky, but ocasionally get some good laughs out of it. Personally I like to mess around with chavinistic pig types that have no respect for their mothers, sisters, girlfriends, etc..... With those I usually have no mercy and will humiliate and cut them off pretty badly if it is requiered. If you are a male I am sure you can still get tipped, you just have to work at it a little bit harder. Socialize more and get involved in roleplaying.

3. Another reason for my character is that my character is definetly eye candy. Personally as for my personal character it is a lot more interesting tolook at female dancer than a male one (personal opinion); and after spending many hours in the cantina looking at my twileck is a lot more interesting than looking at my zabrack male. Once again as a female it is a lot easier to role play with other players in the cantina (if you are a dancer.) My advice would be that if you are male you should probably be a musician if you want better tips. People in general dont apreciate a good male dancer. One must remember that one of the greatest dancers in history Varishnikov (spelling) is male. Do not be dicouraged if you want to be a male dancer. I have been around some and they do get good tips. Probably just work harder at it than me; but then again that makes role playing more interesting. Another suggestion would be to join a large group and provide your services, youll soon see you are greatly apreciated.

4. My character, is or will be similar to a Lara Croft charaacter. Now days many games feature females as heroines. Something handy in the Starwars galaxy since most of the other characters are male. It gives a little diversity to theuniverse. Not many female twileck dancer/pistoleers around!

I appalud male dancers! They give diversity to the game and help make the game more interesting. People should tip without giving importance to a charachters sexuality. After all you are tipping for a service. In this date and time equlity of the genders is off the upmost importance. SEx should not be a factor in determinning a profession.

Dude take it easy, we're on the same side... I just don't like seeing more separatism.. Can't do X because you're not the right gender, can't do Y because you're not the right gender. I would rather see them add new dances to appease those looking for something more in line with the masculine image instead of taking away the existing dances, which do have their uses. I already have to put up with a lesser clothes selection, I don't want a lesser dance selection too.

Agreed... get in a line with some higher skilled dancing females and bandflourish. Not only are you the envy of every combat profession, but it looks friggin awesome.

I myself find wearing absurd clothes makes the dancing more fun... dark blue skinned rodian, i bought some looted BRIGHT orange shorts and a pretty cool orange shirt, and I stand out in a crowd!

I get tips occasionally, but i usually pass them on to new dancers or a medic who's in the cantina since i make my money tailoring and dancing is for fun for me at least.

I'll probably master in a week or so, so I should have some interesting stories about exotic4 and my cool special effects, woo!

Male dancersare fun, and it's an uncrowded market. Ladies like to see guys dance too

I'm just a lowly Novice Dancer, Novice Musician, but yet when I dance, I get a TON of tips. I also have a tendency to be doing formal with a 2handed curved sword too, which makes the dance look like a sword kata, when flourishing..
