When a male dancer comes into the cantina HE'S MINE! Forget the customers, forget tips. I love dancing with a male partner and especially synch dancing exotic. If I get tips I share them with him for the pleasure of having a guy to dance with. Talk to the hand commandoboys, gimme a guy with some moves!

Buaha...that's actually the reaction I get the majority of time when I start doing exotic. Who knew there was such a demand for male dancers.

Okay guys help me out here? How do you do it? What do you wear? What attitude do you take? I don't get anything like that when I dance exotic most the time.

Wish the designers would make the male dance moves more... masculine.

I do wish they would add more gender neutral, or even male oriented dances.. But I don't think they should base it on gender. All dancers should be able to do all dances they have the skill for.

You'll start seeing more male dancers when there are dance flourishes that don't look totally gay (not that there's anything wrong with that ;-) )

Ever seen a male doing the exotic dance? do you really want to? If you were playing a male avatar would you want to look forward to your most impressive dance being that one?

I actually started dancing with a male avatar to help my regular group... my friend actually FORCED me to stop and take up music instead because he couldn't stand it...

Thats exactly the kind of attitude that makes it hard for male dancers. I've almost given up from having encountered that attitude.

I dance exotic occasionally... It's a big hit with the girls. I'm sure if I really bothered to pay attention, it would also serve as a litmus test for RL females.. Though a flawed one (I know some guys that don't have a problem with guys doing exotic, and some girls that do). In the end, though, I don't think I'd give up dancing. I'm already hitting the skill point crunch, and dancing is not something I'll give up.

I agree with Tiaga - don't make the dances different based on gender.

Personally I think all the current dances are fine in this regard. I dance everything from formal on up on a regular basis and they look great to me!

I'm all for new dances being added though.

I'm a master dancer, I do the exotic dances every day I perform, and not only do I get a great reception from my audiences, I love them too. Sorry if you don't share that sentiment, butyours isNOT the overwhelming point of view

I just recently learned exotic dancing.

My advice is to try it with a partner. Face them, get close, turn on the dance and /bandflourish. Make sure to keep them selected so you continue to look at them. This dance looks very nice as a couple.

You might find those odd stares from people turning into stares of envy.

Of course, I had the most captivating partner on all of Bria last night to perform this with, so that might be a factor.

Last night I was doing a bit of exotic.. I had a guy tell me "That dance would look better on a girl." I turned and looked at him, and told him, "I'm not doing this dance for you..."

Men are so used to the fact that female dancers are the norm that they never stop to think maybe the women might be about as interested in the women doing the slow dance as they are of them men.

I think all the dances look better with multiple people performing in sync... not just partners (though that's great too, especially with lyrical) but a number of dancers in unison. One of my favoriteperformances was bandflourishing exotic3 with two other master dancers, in a triangle formation. Looked very good!
